"The Dolphins waved at me and said 'Hi' to me and then they tried to drown me. Fool me once shame on me; fool me twice shame on. . . well you're not going to and that's all there is to it."
The things gulps up a huge mouthful of coins and spits them above the surface of the water. Most of them land in empty space, but a few hit you and sting a bit. "I mean you no harm," the voice says. "I am an eye of the Shallows."
"What is she doing?" Jaheira did not understand why the halfling was speaking to herself in a strange game of make-believe. Once more, suspicions about her being a human child, after all, were returning.
"I… have heard no names," Harold says. "It is difficult for me to hear above the waters." He sucks up more coins and shoots them up into the air. "None have tried to speak with me, anyhow. They get scared and run away."
"This is yet another unnatural sign," Jaheira insisted. The cause of all of this chaos was on her list, and she looked forward to setting things to rights.
"Thank you Harold. I'm sorry I was scared of you."
Alora is now stumped. "I think we have looked everywhere and we haven't found a key. Perhaps we should go back to the aquariums and search in them? Or on uniduck island. And we haven't searched in the cave where the monster of gigantic proportions used to be so I suppose we should go back and do that. I'll start with the uniduck island because the uniducks are nice and won't try to hurt me."
OOC: My schedule is going to be insane he next couple of days so I may not be able to post as often. Put Anomen on auto pilot for battles if I do not respond please. He will stick by Aeries' side to protect the one giving the orders.
OOC: I'm not sure splitting up is a good idea. It never works out well in horror movies. I propose we try the uniducks, the aquariums, the cave with the gigantic beast and then the boulder/beholder. And if we don't find it after that I think we might have to ask the DM for a clue!
Of course, that is assuming there actually is a key. Do we know that for sure?
There is also the corridor with the "Terrible Monster of Gigantic Proportions" signs on it. Alora peeked through the curtain at the end, but didn't really investigate.

OOC: Then maybe that is where we should head next? If the others are in agreement Alora will head back there and attempt to hide in the shadows as she goes through the curtain to search the cavern. I remember there was some kind of fur on the bars; maybe Jaheira will be able to recognise it.
Alora slips past the curtain. This room is of a mostly circular construction. Dominating the center of the room is a 30' diamteter, conical-shaped steel bar cage (Think of the one that Minsc is in at the beginning of BG2, but much larger in diameter.), surrounded by a small moat. The door to the cage appears to have been ripped from its hinges and lies, bent and twisted, against the far wall, as if tossed there by whatever was once held within and broke out. Quite violently.
On the floor of the cage lies the leg bone of some great beast, shattered at one end. The air in this chamber feels thick and smells of animal fur, a rank, almost musty odor. On the cage, there is a sign, "Gigantic Monster of Incredible Proportions".
Small bits of fur have been rubbed between the overlapping cage bars. Several more lie on the floor of the cage. In the center portion of the northern wall is an opening with a sign reading, "This way to the Herbivore Exhibit".
Yes, the moat is dry. The hair/fur is thick and almost greasy, but also a bit... woolen? (Like lamb's wool, heavy with lanolin. But this isn't wool at all.) The leg bone in the cage is about 3 times Alora's size.
(I'm going to pause here to let the other players catch up and see what they might want to say. No need for Alora to get too far ahead and run into something... strange. In fact...
Alora starts to head in that direction and is stopped by a wall of something weird and jelly-like. It's not moving or doing anything but being there.

"Wait Aerie, a bath together is always makes relationship better." Arkanis goes before Aerie, if Alora doesn't stop them first.
"With whom do you speak Alora?"

Alora goes off to search uniduck island.
"There was also the floating boulder. Maybe Jan should cast a detection magic on that one."
Should we split up to look for the key?

Alora will go in as stealthily as she can and search the cavern.

She will then thoroughly search the rest of the room.
If she finds nothing of interest she will cautiously head down the passage to the Herbivore Exhibit, checking for traps as she goes.
She now sneaks down towards the Herbivore Exhibit.
