Ajantis grimaces at the pain in his arm but manages to keep ahold of his weapon. He sees the creature retreating with Alora and offers a silent prayer to Helm. The situation was beginning to look dire. He tightened his grip on his sword and struck again, knowing they had little time to save their friend.
If she can get past the fallen bandit to wallop one of the loincloth perverts, Jaheira will. Otherwise, she'll clobber the next in line until she can get to Alora.
OOC: Neera's a squirrel now...? Man, what did I eat at that birthday party over the weekend?
With the power of Baevarn flowing in her veins, the warmth of courage washed over Aerie. A certainty in her steps, an air of confidence she rarely felt on her own. Seeing Alora was still in danger, Aerie did that which felt most brave when enveloped in her god's power: she picked up a rock--or sling bullet, whichever was most convenient--and threw it toward the waxy men, hoping it would distract them.
"Let go of Alora!" Aerie screamed as she drew back her arm to throw, along with a silent prayer to Baevarn that she did not accidentally strike the very person she was trying to save.
Arkanis kills another bandit with his axe. Anomen screams like a little girl and throws Neera like a missile. Her back impacts the bandit, leaving her out of position for biting, scratching or doing anything effective. She is not exactly hurt by the blow, but the breath is knocked out of her. Luckily, she manages to land on her little feet, dazed but alive. For now (cue Ominous music).
Ajantis calls on his god for aid, and is able to strike down the nearest bandit (the one that hit him last turn. Minsc, out of breath and with a few cracked ribs, misses his target completely. Jaheira manages to hit one of the men attacking Alora (attacking, strangling… same difference.) Her club thumps off a very non-human feeling body. His flesh appears to be more like stone or iron, a harder substance than human flesh, anyway. He drops Alora like a discarded doll and turns on Jaheira, moving faster than seems humanly possible, screaming at the top of its lungs… She may have hurt it, but it is not dead yet… And now it is focused on HER.
Aerie wings two stones at the thing that was formerly holding Alora. The first misses, but the second is a light blow that barely glances off its flesh (assuming it is flesh. Jaheira knows it isn't human, but Aerie doesn't at this point.)
However, you are not alone in this. Behind you, the gnomes bring out slings and start chucking stones at the bandits. Out of the 10 stones they sling, 6 hit. They take down two of the bandits and injure a third.
The bandit closest to Aerie stabs her with a knife. She takes it in the thigh for 3. Arkanis takes a long sword hit that nearly kills him (for 8. He is at 2). The third bandit strikes at Minsc, but entangles his weapon with Minsc's. Neither is able to attack next round.
The warrior that Jaheira struck reaches out and grabs her by the throat, shaking her like a rat, his grip hard and relentless. She can feel her air being cut off, her throat nearly crushed by the warrior's hand.
The second warrior backhands Aerie with a savage strike that knocks her out completely and breaks her nose and cheekbone (5 damage). She is at -2.
Hit points at the end of round 2.
Aerie (-2, bleeding to death), Alora (-6, bleeding to death), Ajantis is at 8. Anomen 8, Jaheira is at 3, but is also being strangled, and is at a severe penalty to attack). Minsc is at 3 (also with a penalty to attack because of his wounds). Neera is dazed and cannot attack. She can barely move.
Neera is going to curl up into a little squirrel ball and try to look inconspicuous until she regains her senses. She'll then bolt to safety and try and dodge any feet.
"Good gnomes, tend to the fallen when you can!" Ajantis shouts. He notes Jaheira's desperate situation and Alora's crumpled form. He moves to strike the man-thing attacking the druid, hoping to at least distract it long enough for his ally to escape.
OOC: So far it seems like the wax men aren't attacking unless attacked. So, maybe leave the second one alone until it tries something? Edit: nevermind, after a reread I see that it attacked Aerie.

Meta game knowledge! How did he know to prebuff in time, and for that particular spell? There is a fishy smell here and it would not surprise me if that bandit had a 95 roll along with several reloads... It's an uphill battle from here for you guys.
"Ack, hack cack." Translation: Nature, take the life that she gave! She hopes that doesn't include her life, of course, but the balance would be served.

Maybe next time my magic will just "accidentally" summon a cow to land ON YOUR HEAD!"

OOC: Out of everyone to climb up, you choose the grumpiest, stuck up person in the party. The safest bet would have been the druid, or the animal loving ranger, or the cleric that worships the forest gnome! Hell the dwarf would have been a better perch than Anomen, who you recall is afraid of flying rodents in the form of bats.
OOC: Sadly, we may never know why Neera decided to scamper about the shirtless body of Anomen... because, (intones in best Xan voice) "We're all doomed."
