OOC: It's good to have you back @LadyRhian . Your experience sounds like a nightmare and I think it is great credit to you that you managed to take something positive out of it.
Sorry, I had a headache earlier. Okay, there is no place further to go south from here. You can go back north and west or explore more of the (na na na na na na na na) BATCAVE.
Neera is back to normal. Is anyone else casting heal spells?
Neera is going to give Anomen a death glare and somewhat rudely say, "Anomen. I think we should go wherever Alora wants to go. I mean, at least she hasn't thrown a party member as a projectile at the enemy. But that's behind us now and we're still friends. Though, I'd be wary of ever turning into a squirrel because I just might use you as a club."
Really? We should follow the girl who led us straight into a trap and nearly got everyone killed in the process?
And you? Why would you cast a spell that turns you into a squirrel? What were you hoping to accomplish by climbing up my leg in the middle of a battle? Looking for nuts?
"Hey! You know sometimes my magic can get out of my control! A-and I thought we could emulate Minsc and Boo! They make a great duo, I thought we could- Actually. Nevermind."
Neera is just going to brood in the back of the group.
"When one argues with a fool, others might not be able to tell the difference," Jaheira cautioned, thought it was probably a waste of time. Neera was quite content to sink to Anomen's lowly level, and nothing she could say would change that.
You're dangerous mage. You will end up killing one of us one these days and that will rest solely on your conscious for the rest of your existence. Hold your excuses for Jergal and control your magic.
Okay, I've calculated the experience for that fight. You got 55 exp each, which may not sound like much, but remember there are 8 people in the party…. Current exp totals are: Aerie, Alora, Arkanis, Jaheira, Minsc: 875 each. Anomen: 983. Ajantis 505, Neera 436.
Alora leads her way back into the (na na na na na na na na) BATCAVE! To your right, in the light of your torches and stone, you see a section of the cave with giant stone colums running from floor to ceiling. It appears empty, however. And further back in the cave (about 50' from where you originally entered it), you see a water-smoothed corridor leading to a black stone door.
"This is probably where the pool is! I bet it's behind that door!" Alora heads over to the door to check for traps and to see if the door is locked. She will then wait for the party to get into position before attempting to open it.
"You gnomes should stand back in case there is anything dangerous in here," she says, already forgetting that without the help of the gnomes she would be one dead halfling.
"Th-Then we should explore it," Aerie agreed with Alora, and muttered a little more quietly, "Especially after all the trouble we endured with said bandits..."
What are we doing? Looking for the pool or the exit? I don't think we need to escort these men to our objective and I think they would like to see sunlight sooner than later.
If it is an exit we are looking for perhaps backtracking to the e nterance we found would be the safest and wisest course.
Poor Neera... Aerie thought as she watched the wild mage out of the corners of her eyes. She could just imagine it: another flash of wild magic, and Neera could have an endless rain cloud above her head, following her every step. Though Aerie silently prayed to Baevarn that such a surge wouldn't happen.
She placed a gentle hand upon the half-elf's shoulder, and gave a shy smile. "Don't let his words get the best of you, Neera. What matters is that you try your hardest, not just for our sake but for your own. Sometimes events simply unfold beyond our control; you cannot be blamed for that."
OOC: AERIE IS SO CUTE. I CAN NOT EVEN. I guess there was a reason she was the first (and only) BG2 char my charname romanced XD.
Neera smiles a bit and replies, "You know Aerie, you really are a good person. I mean a really, really good person. I'm glad we can have someone like you in our merry band of friends!"

Once everyone is rested and recovered the now badly scarred Alora will turn her mind back to leading the gnomes to safety.
OOC: I've lost my bearings again. I think we were heading south. If we can Alora wil continue in that direction.

Neera broods some more and stays silent.

Neera's brooding has been ended. Woo!
