Jaheira had no response to that, for she felt as if this Garl Glittergold was a very poor protector, indeed. "Let us return to finding this well," so that they could be free of debt and obligation. After that, she would need to find Khalid, which could not happen a moment too soon.
Arkanis yell after the gnomes - "Hey, i think you forgot something!" When the gnomes turn Arkanis throw them a pouch with 100 gp. "Your piece from the bandits' wealth. A piece earned with good fight, i can say."
"Oh, but for the balance. I don't approve of where this party is headed; perhaps better leadership is in order." Not that she cared so much for generosity, but they'd already gone out of their way to help the gnomes. Now, they were straying dangerously into block-headed paladinism, and she wanted no part of it.
"Yes," Gildergloss says quietly. "We can make our own way home from here." The gnomes bid you all goodbye, pick up their slings and what few possessions they have, and make their way down. The youngest gnome hugs Aerie, whispers something in her ear and follows the others down.
"My name is Leafbright Emeraldgleam," the nameless gnome whispered to Aerie, and the lovely elf smiled, for he was nameless no longer. "Remember me, in Baervon's name."
"I will. Always." Aerie gave young Leafbright a comforting, final squeeze, and murmured a prayer to Baevarn that He grant them safe passage home.

Upon hearing Arkanis's declaration, however, Aerie bit back a chuckle and nodded. Jaheira was quickest to protest--odd...she'd expect that from Anomen--but she shook her head at the druid.
"They did more than enough to earn their share of the gold, Jaheira," she reminded her comrade. "They helped us fight the bandits, after all. One could say, if not for their efforts, we might have been killed."
"Goodbye gnomes," calls Alora. Then she stands dumbfounded as she watches Arkanis throw away 100 GP. 100GP that she found! All by herself, without any help from anyone.
"What this party needs is better leadership," she whispers to Jaheira.
"I'm going to go and look for the pools." she announces to the party. "And if I find any more treasure I am keeping it for myself," she adds under her breath.
The cavern with the hidden exit (which the gnomes just left through) is absolutely huge. Perhaps not as large with the (na na na na na na na na) BATCAVE, but very large and sprawling nonetheless. More than 100' long, with a separate offshoot where the secret exit is, and over 50' wide in places. You are distracted by glassy gleam on the ground, and nearby, another Ochre jelly. Whatever the gleaming thing is, the Ochre Jelly was unable to digest it. Checking it out, though, runs you the risk of falling victim to the monster's attentions.
"If we do decide to attack this thing perhaps some of us should circle to the other side and lure it away while Alora and a few others remain here to grab the shiny object when the blob is distracted. Assuming a jelly can be distracted."
OOC: We need to be careful. Last time everyone's armour dissolved and it gave Anomen an excuse to wander round with his shirt off. No one wants to see that again.
Maybe we should go and get the gnomes back and get them to rain flinty death down on the jelly?
Okay, Minsc charges the Jelly. Minsc cuts a wedge of Jelly- now all he needs is some Peanut Butter and Bread to make a very disgusting sandwich… Arkanis misses.
Ajantis hits, carving another piece off the jelly. Alora misses and (posting for her) Jaheira finishes it off with a strike from her club. EXP to come.
"Hurrah! Alora's Marauders for the win! Good job everyone," Alora is particularly happy that we managed to kill the jelly without Anomen losing his shirt.

Neera is saddened by the farewell QQ.

Go for the Eyes Boo!!!! Go for the EYES!!!!! Rarrrghhhhh!!!!!!!!
Arkanis tries his throwing axe on the jelly before Minsc get in the way. Then he join to the bath.
Anomen joins the fray, but with his spear, attacking from what he thinks is a safe distance to keep his armor whole, not holed.
"Eck, what is THAT?!"
@vallmyr You guys fought one of these earlier. Neera has seen one before. Or maybe the bandit fell on her head harder than she thought….
"May Tymora favor the foolish," Ajantis remarks as he draws his sword and moves to support the berserker. "Helm, give me strength!"
