There appear to be a lot of mods in development right now, and @Quartz and @CrevsDaak asked that I create a portrait for their character, a halfling named Galileo. I'll leave it to them to add more details if they'd like.
As usual, I'm not quite happy with certain details, but it fits well with the default portraits in the game.
Gleya, air genasi priestess of Selune. In terms of age she looks between her late teens and early twenties. She has azure eyes, pale, almost untinted skin and shiny light cobalt hair. Her hair is cut short in a boyish style, but is starting to grow out. Because of her heritage, she also has pointed ears, making her look more like a half-elf than a human. She is also Calishite, so an (Iranian?/Turkish?/Arabic?) look to her wouldn't hurt either. Don't go overboard with this though, I'd be plenty happy with just the rest.
EDIT: Forgot quite an important part: she's spent several years as a sailor, so having something that reflects that (a bandana around her neck, perhaps?) would help solidify the image so much.
I would love for her to have something on her with the image below, a pendant or a clasp on a cloak, for example.
I tried tackling this one, but unlike most of my other portraits, Artemius_I wanted it in the Baldur's Gate II style. Though I prefer the darker tones of the first game, it actually is fun to try something different every once in a while.
Edit: You can follow his progress on the mod here.
Hello Isandir! I just wanted to stop by and tell you that I am a HUGE fan of your work. You are very talented! I look forward to seeing more portraits from you!
Toward the end of the old portrait thread, I had posted a NPC that was being developed by Eric P. at Spellhold Studios. I finally got around to finishing the drow version of the portrait for the Ust Natha section. I also created separate versions that are used depending on the in-game date; he wanted a version specific to the seasons, as the character changes her cloak for each. They don't quite match up to either the BG1 or BG2 portraits, as he wanted it to be accurate to FR lore.
This is obviously one of the more unusual requests I've received! Here is the original (representing spring) that I had already posted, followed by each of the others (summer/fall/winter/drow).
@Isandir So far, Gleya's portrait is, in my opinion, your best work. Keep it up, you're gorgeous! *still dreaming of Xan's portrait in this same style... oh well*

Don't worry: I'll get there eventually...
In the meantime, however, I saw a picture of model that just felt right for another major character, so I put this together tonight. There are still some minor tweaks I need to make, but otherwise here is my (nearly) final take on Imoen:
@Isandir that picture is very lovely but sorry I think it too old for Imoen as I see Imoen she looks younger and smiling like the happy person she is.
This is one of the cases in which I knew it wouldn't mesh with everyone's view of the character, so I simply went with my own concept. I aimed for a more neutral expression with a slight smile, as I tend to think of her as having a darker side just like the PC. In respect to age, however, Imoen is roughly 20 at the time of the game, so the model fits relatively well.
On another note, I've received a lot of requests to bundle all of my portraits together on my site in order to allow an easy download, but I simply never got around to it. @swit has kindly offered to solve that problem by creating a mod that automatically adds them to the game. (I'll likely be driving him crazy, however, as I keep going back to tweak portraits!) I'll post the most recent revisions here, starting with the DSotSC NPCs. In most cases the changes are minor--primarily color, shading and blending--but it just bothers me if I leave "mistakes" in them...
Top to bottom, L to R: Bardo, Bub, Conchobhair, Cu'Choinneach, Ferthgil, Jenna, Jet'laya, Keiria, Morik, Skeezer, Thorfinn
Some of you may have noticed I also left out the tweaked versions of Vihane and Juoda, two of the characters that were going to be added to the new release of DSotSC. Unfortunately, with the delays and the hard work the team has put into just updating the old content, I don't know if they'll make it into the final version.
I would still like them to eventually be released as NPCs, and their quests were intended to tie into several loose ends in the vanilla game. Just to gauge whether it's realistic, would anyone be interested in collaborating on a large-scale mod that involves multiple NPCs, the addition of new weapons and spells, and several new quest lines? I've obviously got the portraits side handled, as well as some basic coding and most of the writing for dialogue and descriptions.
If you think you may be interested (and particularly if you can code), I can provide a more fleshed-out concept via PM.

I don't mind the smile it just that when I think of Imoen I think of her spirit of the eternal child, true in BG2 she is going though a hard time, but with all what she past she still have the joy of life and I can't see it in your profile of her, and btw it still seem a bit older then 20 to me. Don't get me wrong All in all it a good profile and I like you work.

If our plates weren’t so full at the moment with figuring out our own first mod, we would like to help. Perhaps sometime in the future we might have the opportunity to work with you.
I discovered a bug with an old portrait in the Unfinished Business mod with the Minsc and Boo quest. The portrait with Minsc without Boo would need an update to fit BG2:EE sizes.

I don't know if this helps but this makes for a great Minsc with out boo of course.
It is Ray Stephenson by eskarne I believe on deviantart.com. I got this from LadyRhian's too many pic's thread here. Make sure you contact the original artist.

Great job! - though I think it would be even more ideal for Safana (and any seductive swashbuckler in general).
@Sed: I threw this together this morning and didn't spend a great deal of time on it, but I assume since it's at a smaller size, it won't make a huge difference. I've attached the medium and small sizes, so they can simply be added right into the mod.
@kaguana: No worries. As I said, I was going more with my own vision of her. In respect to the age, I think it's just individual perception, as the base I used was a photo of professional model Richelle Oslinker, who is 21 years old.

That great that you go with your own vision that what artiest do I still think that something in that pictur make her look older then 20.
I've recently updated Finch to work with BG:EE. One of the current issues is that the original mod only had portraits sized for Tutu. I've used a Lanczos filter to resize the images, and you can find both the original and the resized images attached below (I've included also the large portrait in the bgee subfolder, but it is not really required).
However, I'm not an expert on image manipulation, so I wonder if it is possible to improve in any way the portraits for BG:EE (in particular the current medium portrait looks a bit blurry in BG:EE).

Unfortunately, there's no way to add detail back into an image once it has been saved at a low resolution except by hand. Using filters smooths out larger versions, but only by sampling and blending color from the base image.
I've never used Finch, so I'm unfamiliar with her physical characteristics, but if you're able to find the original photo model or select a new one that appropriately represents her, I could always try making a new portrait.
@Astafas, is your wife as sassy as she looks in that photo? Because dang. That's no TN character, that's a CN one for sure. =p Great job, btw. Probably my favourite one you've done. Is the fur armor from Skyrim? It looks familiar.
@Elandir, she certainly can be. :-D Yeah, the fur is from Skyrim. I'm not that good in PS, so I prefer using already finished armors if possible (adjusting them when needed).
@meagloth, it sure is. :-) The photo was taken solely for the purpose of baldurizing, so no effort was made in regard to background and clothing, as can be seen. :-D
After some tweaking (for example, downscaling means the portrait will look much more detailed again, for which reason more "oil paint" and "find edges" are necessary, at least with my techniques), this is how it blends in.
I think the biggest thing that causes them to not fit in as well as possible is the skin tone. Both your portrait and your wife's are much paler than all of these characters. It makes some sense that someone with bright red hair would lack some of the melanin, (heck, I share her pain) but they'd have gained some level of tan-ness from being outside all the time. (and she is a druid) As for your portrait, I suppose there's no telling what the skin tone of a part demon character would look like, so that's more reasonable.
Not a complaint, just an idea for how you could improve.
You're totally right. I find the skin tones in the BG 2 portraits to be really strange, and difficult to get right. But I'm working on it! :-) (and with the red hair, we decided to go for a very pale skin anyway).

Thanks, but in this case it needs to be the official picture, just without Boo
