So, in less than half a month, my life will change drastically

I've been granted a visa to make a permanent move to another country.
This is the thing I've been dreaming and looking forward to for the last 3 years. Taking into account all the awful events in the Russian economy as a result of the awful politics during the last year, the move looks even more tempting. Moreover, Bulgaria is a much warmer country and there's a lot more sunlight there.
From inventing an idea of the move, to gathering money, then finding a place to live, a way to work from abroad, then gathering and gathering all the documents, and now to finally getting an official permission to make a move... It feels unreal and real in the same time.
It means the following 2 weeks will be very busy for me: putting things into boxes, buying tickets, arranging everything...
As soon as I arrive to the new place, I'll get even more things to do, possible needing months to make a new apartment a good place to live.
I'm excited, I'm feeling as if something that has been only in my mind for years now really is starting to materialize.
One thing in all this is a bit sad for me. For those 3 years that I've been looking forward to the move, I've been enjoying this forum. The forum has become my second home. And now I'm feeling I'm going to miss the forum all you ladies and gentlemen A LOT. No more daily visits, no more your wonderful humour and discussing anything that can be discussed. No more reading other people's playthroughs, no more silly off-topic chattering and sharing insightfuls about the things we all love. No more portraits, music tracks, jeopardy, guessing, twitter deciphering.
To tell the truth, it will feel odd and I'll be missing it greatly. This forum has become a source of my emotions, my knowledge, my pleasure. The Baldur's Gate comminity here is awesome.
I would like to thank everyone for those 3 years. I would especially mention fellow moderators and administrators of the forum. You all eventually have contributed to me as a person, this is for sure.
I believe that as soon as I settle in the new place, I'll be back. Maybe not as active as I've been for the last year or so, but I hope eventually I'll come back in full strength. Just as other people here came back: Quartz, Dee, Shandyr...
There's one thing that I'm certain of. This Baldur's Gate comminity will continue to flourish and will get even better times ahead: the Adventure Y's announcement is not far away, then 1.4 patches for BGEE and BG2EE, then maybe PSTEE or even something bigger.
Are you sure you want to quit? Boo will miss you...
I'll be back, Boo!

It's an interesting thing. There was an article recently about "brain drain" in Russia, i.e. educated people moving out. Apparantly it's over 70 recorded people per day. The number of people who do not report their move is ofc unknown. Do you plan to make it official with Russian authorities?
I do not know if you find Italy a "developed country", but if you are looking for fine food, it is the right place
I guess that your family will move with you as well?
As for the "more developed country", I think it's a bit early to predict.
The main motto behind the move was the fact that the economics and the politics of Russia in the last 5-10 years and as it's certain in the next at least 5 years are not in the state I approve.
It's simply unsafe to stay here for my family in the long run, I think: I don't want my future children to go to these schools and these universities, I don't even want them to play outdoors here because of the level of crimes even in the capital. I can't develop a business project here because of the unbelievable level of corruption and the much-shortened investmensts from the abroad. The level of life has decreased a lot, and with all those sanctions I don't see it improving in the next 3 years if compared to what it was at least a year ago. And the recent reports about the restart of the cold war between Russia and USA, with all those military resources getting a chance to appear in Europe again and Russian politics towards Ukraine, it's becoming increasingly worrying in terms of a war.
I *would* like to be in a safe country, that cares for its people and provide a good future for both adults and children. But I also have to take into consideration the residency rules and the fact it's not that simple to find a way to stay in a country, even if I very much adore it, without using one of the residency programms.
I hope I'll find a way to move to a more developed country, yes, be it Italy (I like cooking and I love Italian food), Spain, Sweden, Canada or any other calm and good place. But it's a question of a distant future.
Right now all my wishes are with Bulgaria. People are very kind there, the weather is good, the sea wind is there, I like the countryside... And thank Gods, they are not fighting with anyone!
Edit: Oh, and as for the "brain drain", I'm not surprised it happens. Low salaries and high prices in the same time are one of additional reasons, as are the things I've mentioned. All the procedures I go through are official, though.
If things go wrong, Bulgaria may not be the best place to be even though that's probably very nice at the moment and more generally a nice destination.
Very fond memories of dining on my few trips to Italy - definitely one of the best places to dine in the world, not because the best restaurants are great, but ALL of the restaurants, no matter the budget, are great! You folks know good food!
