Yoshimo backs away slowly at first, then faster. "The bin is full of those grub things." He explains. "I suggest we leave them to their rubbish and newly barbecued corpse and resume clearing the ground floor."
Yoshimo puts a hand on each of Mazzy and Minsc's shoulders. "Come," he urges. "There is nothing to be done for the dead man, and with no healing available to us--easily--" he glances at Tamoko, "assaulting a bin full of killer worms would mean death for us all. Though, this puts new light on the sensation of fear left at the door. Perhaps it was a ward, meant to protect anyone who would follow from encountering the grubs."
"You jump to many conclusions baselessly in your hurry to be away from these worms. However I do agree with you in one matter, that we have wasted enough time in this cellar."
Edwin wraps his robes closer around himself and heads up the stairs.
OOC: And nobody wants the armor? If that's the case... Removing the majority of its former occupant from it, Tamoko strips off her studded leather armor (to the great delight of the leering Kivan) and places the platemail on in its place.
@LadyRhian I might be mistaken, but isn't Sune all about outward appearances and lust and all that fun stuff?
*Kivan takes what's left of his wine and bottle, places a rag inside with one end sticking out, and lights the end on fire. He then tosses his molotov cocktail into the trash bin before following his companions. He also likes his spiffy new shield.*
Will wine work for a molotov cocktail?? I thought it had to be pretty potent hard liquor.
Lets just say the wine in that cellar is unusually potent.
But yes, you're correct. Typical wine with 11-14% alcohol will not ignite. Even spirits with 40% will not light, only the vapor will. Rubbing alcohol with 99% will light. I was just taking some rp license with that one.
Yeah, no. Wine has too much water in it to work. You want lantern/lamp oil or the aforementioned hard liquor. White Lightning, if you can get it. And Kivan? The wine bottle in his pack was the only intact bottle left in the cellar. Just sayin'.
Okay, so everybody goes back up into the scullery, then probably back into the kitchen, yes? There's the door leading the way we came and the pretty busted stairs up to the second level. I'd rather fully explore the downstairs before moving up. I'd also prefer to find some stairs less likely to crumble at a touch.
Technically what happens in this video isn't possible either. Jack will not light on fire like that. Only the vapor will ignite, with a barely visible reddish flame. Thomas Jane is soooo awesome btw.
Okay. You have explored pretty much all of the northern part of the lower section of the house. Now, you can choose east or west. Or Go up the stairs in the kitchen.
"You want me to lead? Have you been hit in the head with a rock?" Yoshimo sighs. "If you and your vastly superior intellect would prefer to lead, Thayan, by all means, sally forth."
"Enjoy it all you wish, but make yourself useful in the meanwhile." Yoshimo heads down the eastern hallway, alert for traps, grubs, ghosts, or locked doors.
Actually, the platemail seems to become less constricting by the moment. Is it actually conforming to her? Interesting...
Okay, to the east, there are two doors. One at about 10' from under the staircase, the other about 25' or so from under the staircase. The hallway dead-ends about 7 or 8' further on.
I'll stop at the first door and check it for traps or locks. I'll disarm the former, unlock the latter, and before I open the door, I'll listen to see if I hear anything hostile moving about.
Okay.... You find no traps on the door, and it isn't locked. Nor do you hear anything. When you open the door, you see a bare room that has long been stripped of all furniture. There is a fireplace on the western wall, and the only thing of note is the circle of tiny reddish mushrooms growing out of the wooden floor in a rough semicircle around the open fireplace.

"Very well, you seem to have taken over the leadership of the party for the time being, I look forward to seeing how well you do."

OOC: Sorry I stopped posting, went for dinner and got sidetracked.
