Internet Explorer was fine back in the 90's, until I found websites that could use Active X to install viruses, spyware, malware, all of the bad things on to our computer the instant the website loaded (Crippling the computer performance at the same time making it practically a paper weight while bad things happen to the O/S and software installed on it).
That was when I discovered Firefox, tested it out on the problematic websites and learned that Firefox is a crap ton better than Internet Explorer (The websites couldn't do drive-by attacks when visited with Firefox). So we've been using Firefox for over 15~ years now. The other good thing about Firefox is Add-Ons! Though in the last 6 years Firefox has been somewhat aggressively killing off its UI customizability
