Just killed a Dragon/wyvern/drake thing that dropped 6 titanite chucks, 3 twinkling titanite and 3 titanite scales. So many mats XD
Now I just wish I could find titanite slabs, only got one so far and that was from a NPC quest. I mean really all weapons need them and you can't farm them wtf???
@SmilingSword Yeah, so far I have 4 slabs and have used none. I have multiple weapons at +9 or +4 trying to find my favourites. You don't need a maximum upgraded weapon to be competitive so stick to one less while you decide.
I'm simultaneously extremely happy that you can get infinite chunks, twinklings and scales and extremely annoyed that there is a limited amount of slabs. I'll have to put my slabs in my lockbox along with every potion from every videogame ever marked "just in case"
@FinneousPJ well i had to use one on my flame, cause pyro. I have my black knight sword and my Dancer swords at +4.
I can't decide if the Dancer swords are the best thing in the world or utter trash. The moveset is sound, with a lot of combo potential but the dmg is split 3 ways, which means 3 different dmg reductions take place. Also none of the scaling goes above D, they are really pretty though.
Leveling my Murakumo at the moment, thinking of sticking in a chaos gem, I'm pretty sure the scaling at +10 will CCBB or if i'm unlucky DDBB.
The torso can grant a damage boost i think, and the the head used to allow you to breathe fire. The twinkling ones look like they offer special attacks.
Hollowing to 99 was rumored to make your dropped souls unretrievable, but that turned out to be a myth. It IS the only way to get the third ending, though it also requires plenty more. The NPC quests in this game are great, but they are even more obtuse than previous, and you can mess them up simply by performing normal actions. I actually recommend a guide for them in some cases. Anyway, Hollowing has no active gameplay affects, though curing it get more expensive the higher you level.
kinda wish that joining one covenant didn't block me from 5-6 trophies...
I assume you are talking about Rosaria's Fingers. It's more frustrating because you aren't even allowed to pick up the "key" for it like you are with the other covenants. I can understand it locking you out if you actually decide to represent the Covenant in-game, but there is no indication from the previous ones you pick up that it will penalize you if you just take the token.
Orestein cosplay is real but for some reason I don't understand, I'm not loving the armour. It hasn't changed but it just doesn't look as good as I remember it.

isnt switching the covenant pretty trivial in DS3? Just requip the covenant item for what you were doing.
Joining Rosaria's Fingers causes at least one NPC to turn on you and disappear. And even accepting the covenant item will cause this. Though looking into it I don't see the 5 or 6 trophies, though maybe one or two....
Also, I'm tempted to start a petition to have the pontiff and the last boss change places... poor guy.
The thing about the Pontiff and Aldrich (and maybe High Lord Wolnir, though less is known about him) is that he might be the first truly BAD guys with totally nefarious motives that has ever been a boss in these games. Smough I suppose, but he's an executioner. You can't blame demons for being demons, and everyone else has a fairly solid reason for doing what they did and fighting you. I suppose we have to include Nashandra as well.
I think the last boss is cool and very suited to being... the last boss. Do you imply he's too easy? Were you solo?
Yeah, he's thematically cool, and it's neat that he's an amalgam of fighting styles of different lords.
The problem is that he behaves like a super powered invader.
That means that the player has already had lots of training on recognizing his windups and dodging his attacks, because they're not unique. Some of them have unique consequences (his juggling attack is neat), but none of them are dangerous. His magic stage is especially punishable as his accuracy is low, his windup is blatant and dodging is the same as any magic user.
I was going to bring in Yuria, just to be thematic about it, but decided to take him solo at least on the first playthrough. I was expecting him to kill me at least a couple times, but it only took one attempt.
I think the main idea of the final boss is that it represents both the Chosen Undead character from the first game (for you personally) and, on a larger level, ALL the Chosen Undead who have ever played these games. The move sets are Strength, Dex, Sorcery, Miracles, and Pyromancy, basically all the main things players spec into when they play. And when that fails them, they turn to the last resort, the last stand and remnant of the first Lord Gywn, buried deep in the Soul of Cinder beneath the countless others who have come after him.
Where does everyone think the DLCs are going?? I feel like one almost HAS to deal with the Serpents and Londor, a land ruled by hollows that we hear about a ton but do not see. As for the other (I'm assuming two), I really have no idea.

When i activate them I turn into a weird looking skinny dragon dude but I can't where armour and looking at the stats they don't offer any protection.
It was a pretty long quest to get them, why do they seem so worthless?

And is it a massacre for you or the enemies??
@jjstraka34 I would guess it's a massacre for @SethDavis' enemies.

As for DLC I think From has been quite creative in the past. I really can't guess.
