But if they introduce dragonborn without any repercussions and they're treated just like a travelling human, I'll be extremely disappointed.
The 5th Edition player's handbook has sidebars for all races, explaining how they are viewed by members of other races. So, that tends to address this point. Here's the one for Dragonborn:
So, in FR, the long and short of it is, it's entirely within the realm of possibility that a dragonborn or a tiefling may end up with a mob armed with torches and pitchforks trying to lynch them. As a tiefling (never played as a Dragonborn), I always played PnP such that either I was a member of a faction that was well-known/respected (such as the Lords' Alliance) OR hid my face when I had any "alien-like" features. Once had a DM who basically told us that the Dragonborn had to wait outside town while the rest of us purchased supplies, or we'd all have to suffer the consequences. Point is, acting like the uncommon races don't evoke reactions from others is a bit silly, honestly.
As long as nobody wishes to include cyborgs and laser weapons in a D&D game, I'm ok with it... mainly in Faerun that is know to have hundred of active portals to other places in the multiverse...
@ThacoBell Sooo... ents? Treants? Dryads? Probably some others?
Why not a sentient entagle spell?
Racial enemy: Japanese school girls.
Evil aligned characters are Always triumphant in hentai ovas for some reasons.
Not enough friendship to defeat them seems to be the likeliest reason. If there's one thing that anime has taught me, it's that friendship is the ultimate power.

Since when is MLP considered animu?
Since when is MLP the only cheesy anime that emphasizes friendship being "the ultimate power"?

I totally wasn't waiting for someone to say 'myconoids' just so that I could say this or anything >.>

CyborgsClockborgsAnd I'm pretty sure that magic missiles would count as lasers anyway.
