Again? When is it going to be enough? Are we ever going to see something different from you, except EEs for everything? >.>

I guess until there's more of us hoping for them to keep doing EEs as opposed to people fed up with them, they'd be smart to continue :)

And considering there's only IWD2 left, it would make sense to do it (if they can find the source).

This comes from someone ardently hoping for a new D&D 5E game, but still: I'd pre-order IW2EE in a heartbeat.
Well i'm not one to tell others what they should and should not like.

I wouldn't be interested in another potential IE game however, nor i would be interested in backing it.

At this point, my "concern" lies more on whether they are actually intending to make a completely new, non IE game about D&D or similar.

I was thinking something like Strahd's possession.

Or they could just get us an actual 5th Edition game already...

I still, think Marble Madness: Enhanced Edition for tablets would sell like hot cakes. Then again, app stores don't sell hot cakes, so what do I know?

I'm quite sure there's an App for that...

Yeah, but ACTUAL hotcakes. Ever pour maple syrup on an iPhone? No, of course, not, that would be ridiculous.

    And it void the warranty.

Who needs warranties when everyone jail-breaks their phone anyway?!

No. No thanks. I want an actual new game, using 5th Edition rules.

NWN doesn't need an EE, especially since it still has active persistent worlds.

    From Twitter:

So far we have made no progress finding the source code for Icewind Dale II. Archives have been searched, with no success.

    IWD2:EE seems unlikely :/

Let us hope they will keep searching until they find it.
It is the beginning of a very nice quest :)

Why not? Trent said "Trent: I've always said I'm not done with Neverwinter Nights and the multiplayer space. At the moment we don't have anything to talk about, but I'm keeping my eyes open for opportunities."

Maybe the next game will be about the quest to locate IWDII source code :)

It is at the bottom of Werdna's prison, sealed inside by Tarjan the Mad God, and guarded by a Grue.
Good thing I've been holding onto my old Blade Cusinart' for just such a mission!

    Thoughts...

Could be an SoD style extension to BGII.

    NeverwintEEs

    BG3EEEs

    ...

The secrecy this time around is absolute.

    ...

    I secretly want NeverwintEEs

I think it's safe to assume right now that there'll be no IWDII EE.

Morale of the story: Let every employee backup everything at least thrice and let them store those copies at home. Also, keep the original data in a bank's save for at least 50 years. Seriously!

Damn it... guess reverse engineering the source code ain't gonna work either. Might as well recreate the whole Icewind Dale 2 game from scratch within the Unity engine. Less problems that way.

That's exactly why many companies rely on cloud storage of their data... even if the company is physically destroyed the data will be stored in so many places that it'll be safe... unless everyone who knows the passwords die suddenly or if they stop paying the cloud services.
