I just picked the first named npc I've come across in my current playthrough :
1. I'm a good man though I run a place where you should look for your purse
2. The place I run is named after a temptress with Idiopathic craniofacial erythema
3. "It don't matter if we're friends or not. I treat everyone the same."
Well done... Bork it is. I guess it was too easy ^^
1 => the guy is chaotic good but tell you about the danger of staying in the inn
2 => temptress = mermaid, Idiopathic craniofacial erythema = "medical condition characterised by severe, uncontrollable, and frequently unprovoked, facial blushing."
3 => the line he tells when you charm him
I'm a chaotic good elvish cleric
And I lurk around in a wood.
But if your reputation suggests you have merit
You'll find I'm much more chaotic than good.
I once wasn't evil, but now I am.
(Asking for the assassination of an evil person is... morally grey, right?)
You never know my true name, but I know yours (or what it isn't, anyways)
Most of the hints fit for Phaere pretty well, though perhaps not quite the last one, as we do know her actual name. And she only figures out you're not Veldrin at the very end, she doesn't actually learn your real name if I recall correctly.
@semiticgod has it!
1) The Aboleth somehow was True Neutral in the originals; in the EEs, he is (probably rightfully) Evil.
2) He asks you to bring you Qilue's brain which... y'know... kills her. I'm not actually sure Qilue is evil, though.
3) He's a mind-reader that threatens to expose your true identity, so probably knows your true name. We only know him as the Aboleth, the name of his species.
1. I am not evil. Even the purest of your companions can tell.
2. If you're lucky, you will never see me.
3. I will outlive the gods themselves.
It has to be Cernd.
1. Cernd is not at all evil.
2. Two is true, because who really wants to interact/engage or even associate with Cernd? We would all be lucky to never see him.
3. This is true to an extent, because at the time Cernd had outlived both Bane and Bhaal (the gods).
I agree but maybe he doesn’t flag as such ingame. 1 may be met if he doesn’t trigger as evil by a paladin detect evil. Every other clue seems to apply to him, he has two faces but tells the truth if I recall, you don’t have to see him, he may outlive the gods and from memory his presence brushes against you when you reach his prison
1. Demogorgon is in fact Chaotic Evil. However, if you have certain party members in your group, such as Keldorn, they will actually say that they can feel the presence and they sense that it is not evil! Apparently Demogorgon is sufficiently powerful and alien that even a paladin's innate ability to detect evil can't understand Demogorgon's true nature.
2. You don't actually see Demogorgon unless you fight it, which is the harder and less rewarding way to end the questline. Until then, it's invisible.
3. Demogorgon is an immortal demon prince, and unlike the gods, s/he doesn't require faith to survive.
4. The in-game dialog with Demogorgon mentions a "phantasmal hand" brushing against you and then retreating, the impression of Demogorgon reaching out to you telepathically.
5. Demogorgon has two heads (two-faced) but s/he is the only one telling you the truth.
1. I’ll couple up eventually but it’s unlikely to be for life
2. I like the outdoors but am no tree hugger
3. I pack a sting from afar (in theory)
4. Keep me from the stony wench and purple head
5. Once we’ve saved the day, like that, I’m gone
Comments
(You respond 5 times to him, before he may fist fight you ( like in Fight Club)
Edit : ha and there is a line about the calling of the realm !
Ok five is the chapter when you meet. Part of him could be played by Norton. And they go wherever you will go.

It certainly is. You're up.

4. I brush against you so gently.
Is "lightning strike" a character?
That one doesn't brush so gently, though...
It has to be Cernd.

3. This is true to an extent, because at the time Cernd had outlived both Bane and Bhaal (the gods).
Cernd can both brush and be gentle.
5. I am two-faced, but I never lie to you.
