Geeze, now I'm getting embarrassed over the number of turns I'm getting. It's fun, though.
1. We met early in your journey, before the first drop of orc blood stained your hands. Well, probably. 2. I spoke to you of what was once the future, but which now is many years past. 3. I have a real eye for fashion, if I do say so myself.
@meagloth . Funny, I had thought the same thing! But I don't get all of 1 and 2 if that is the answer.
Well, I guess he could be nice, but we'll just assume he's cruel to family. He put his trust in thieves, and you have the option to turn away from the canon party. It was just a guess really.
1. Mae'Var's coldbloodedness is made explicit in his first dialog, when he reveals that the person he's torturing is his cousin, whom he caught stealing from guild coffers.
2. Embarl was not a traitor, but Mae'Var turned against him because Embarl overheard sensitive information. Charname is the real traitor, but Mae'Var trusts him or her to take out Embarl.
3. Mae'Var was reaching out to the Night Knives in an attempt to kill his rival, Renal Bloodscalp. Likewise, Renal Bloodscalp uses Charname to assassinate Mae'var.
Yeah, it was a struggle to work it out but as soon as I thought of Mae'Var I knew the clues all fit.
Ok, possibly an easy one.
1) I am a force for good though I have little strength 2) You will find me in the deepest and darkest places 3) Help me and you save yourself; but I will grace you with rewards

Nothing more fashionable than a hat.
2. Lawfully I am right
3. Chaotically I am wrong
Ding. Next round.
2. I turn against those loyal to me, and place my trust in traitors.
3. By proxy, I kill my foe. By proxy, my foe kills me.
Phaere Despana.
Come to think of it, this character kind of exemplifies Shadows of Amn.

Amaunator is correct . The third clue was a direct reference to what he gives you, the shield Saving Grace.
