The chuckling swells to fill the room like a wall of sound. Darkness swamps the party, and red eyes peer out of the darkness. "I worried about warriors sent to kill me, but you are merely thieves, stealing monies that are not yours!"
*After several attempts to eat the copper piece, Boo realizes it is not a piece of cheese. Boo discards the copper piece and picks up an adjacent gold piece and attempts to nibble on it. He is clearly oblivious to the situation at hand.*
OOC- Sorry for lack of posts. I have been out with bronchitis which then turned into pneumonia.
Minsc readies his weapon and gives it a few practice swings. "What villiany is this? Show yourself coward! Or is the Minsc and Boo duo to much for you to handle?"
*Boo realizes that all of the chips on the floor are not actually food, and gives up attempting to eat anymore of them after the last painful bite. After hearing Minsc's battle-cries, Boo returns to his place on the hulking warrior's shoulders.*
A black wind rushes through you, and you feel tired and slightly ill. Your vision blurs, and you blink to clear it. When you can see clearly again, Strahd stands before you, wielding a magical-looking sword and looking angry. He wins initiative, and crooks a finger. Five more sets of red eyes blink out of the darkness, and then he strikes out with his blade, striking Sarevok a mighty blow that makes even that stalwart cry out in pain. (16 damage). Blood sprays out of Sarevok's wound, splattering over you and Strahd's blade.
"Don't be a pansy Sarevok, it's just a flesh wound. Just shake it off. Use your Bhaal powers or something. This might be a good time to turn into the Slayer."
Skie will hang back and try to shoot arrows at Strahd's face.
ooc- Who has the holy symbol we found? Now may be a good time to use it 8)
Minsc calls out to the clerics "Use your holy words and pray to the gods! Meanwhile I shall pray to my muscles!" Minsc lets out a beserker's roar and as he charges in at the mass of reds eyes.
OOC - Boo has many special hiding spots. I've I were to tell you EXACTLY where they were, they wouldn't be special hiding places anymore, let alone hiding places.
Quick and dirty post for where I have been: Last Thursday, the Police broke into my house while I wasn't home to take my Dad (he's gotten much too bad physically for me to take care of). They broke in through the broken window, which was blocked with a piece of cardboard, then left the window open (and the kitchen a mess) when they left. So, my cat ran out through the window, and I have been searching for her ever since. Animal Control only found her Tuesday Night, and I picked her up yesterday, then had to work all afternoon and night. I'll post when I get home today.
Oh, also, when it rained here, the roof leaked and dripped on my keyboard, which shorted out, and I needed to get a new one. So there's that, too. It wasn't a complete short out, only several keys (numbers and the comma key), and if I still used it, the keyboard would enter commands and keep fast-forwarding through stuff. I am on track to get both things fixed by next week (leaky roof and window, so...)
Ajantis steps forward to strike Strahd... and misses. Mazzy hits Strahd, but Skie's arrows miss. Minsc whiffs badly. "No effect? I need a bigger sword!" he mutters. Imoen fires off an arrow and misses. Sarevok strikes out, and also misses. Aerie begins casting a spell. Edwin, eyeing the red eyes with apprehension, casts a Magic Missile spell, hitting Strahd for 5 total. Then, the Wraiths attack. One of them hits Aerie, spoiling her spell. She loses a level in Mage and 6 hit points, plus 5 from the unearthly cold radiated by the Wraith. The cold seems to go directly into her bones, leaving her shaking and shivering. A second hits Minsc for a total of 16 and a drained level. (Minsc is now level 4.) A third hits Lyrrick for 10 and a drained level. A fourth hits Mazzy, who feels the surety of her God's support draining out of her. 17 points damage and a drained level. The last Wraith also goes for Aerie, dealing 13 points of damage and another drained level, this time, a cleric level.

Strahd strikes down Sarevok, leaving him a withered husk before your eyes. A Wraith hits Lyrrick again for 12 and a drained level. A second turns on Skie for 7 and a drained level. A third hits Ajantis for 17 and a drained level. The fourth physically assaults Imoen, hitting with a 20 for 25 points of damage and 2 drained levels. And another adds to the pain, hitting Imoen again for 13 and another drained level.
