OOC I've finished up to Dead Beat, so seven of the books. I have all of them, just haven't finished reading. I have a lot of books I still have to read, as in other series of books, so I've kind of split them up.
OOC: Actually, the Sidhe are like the "elves/fairies/Drow" from the irish/celtic mythology, they are not the Leprachum, they are like demons or IDK what. I've been traveling so I couldn't be here, but it seems like not too much happened.
OOC Well I'm sure Jim Butcher didn't come up with the idea of the Sidhe himself, so it doesn't surprise me that it comes from some other mythology. Most of the things in his books are adapted from other folklore or mythology.
Minsc comes out of his funk and runs into the totally blackened room. However, in the darkness, he trips on the edge of the desk and falls onto the top of the desk. The thing strikes again, silencing Alora's cries forever. (Sorry, Alora has died.)
"Alora... Alora? Alora!!" Minsc's yells can be heard throught the neighboring halls and rooms. His eyes roll back into his skull. A moment later his muscles begin to bulge and ripple. The rage fully engulfs him and he begins to stalk through the darkness looking to avenge Alora. OOC I donno how 2e works. Can I use any skills to help find attackers in the dark?
Minsc feels the thing sic into him. Its claws sink deep into his back, over his kidneys. He can feel the blood running down his back as he takes a combined 22 points of damage. In return, he flails around with his axe, and feels it strike something, but he can't tell how well he hit it, as he is completely blind.
OOC Would his true sight work? Actually of the 3 characters who have made their fear save (Xan, Keldorn, Minsc), only Minsc has posted, the other two are AWOL.
EDIT Sorry Xan is around, but Keldorn seems out.
Xan is Fighting_Ferret Minsc is Fenris308 Keldorn is @Battlehamster
OOC OK nobody else go in. Is the light from the room we're in not visible to Minsc through the doorway? So this is magical darkness? The creature absorbs light? That makes no sense, unless we're fighting a black hole. On the other hand if the creature enters our room will it go dark here and the other room light up?
Well Minsc should flee towards the people shouting 'Over here' (or breathlessly chanting ohgodohgodohgod), but his rage will probably prevent any common sense actions? You could probably roll the next couple of rounds, until Minsc's rage expires, or the creature leaves the room, because Xan is probably smarter than to go in, and Keldorn is AWOL.
Who was our other thief? If your fear wears off, perhaps set a trap?
Minsc strikes out again, hitting into the darkness, and then gets clawed back for 16. Minsc makes another hit, and you hear a deep growl, and the thing strikes Minsc back for 13 points. Minsc is now near death (4 hit points).

If Jaheira has regained her courage, then she will make her stand at the entrence of the room, trying to give the spellcasters some time.
Good luck everyone. I hope you guys make it through.

Oh Baervan I could use some help right now ... to make this stupid save ... and a scroll of remove fear would help too.
OOC But the gods help those who help themselves, and I think Keldorn could help by casting dispel magic on the group?
