    Xan will cast Flame Arrow.

When Khalid recovers his courage he'll say the activation word of his sword... the light from the flames should help...

Xan- no target. And the flames do *not* help, either. (Magical Darkness trumps this all, yo!)

Alora begins trying to get to her feet, or at least to rise, when another attack slams into her back again, this time for 18 damage. Inside her head, she hears dark laughter. "Despair, mortal." The voice is pitiless, passionless- and makes her want to wet herself again- but there is nothing left in her bladder. In her mind, this is the deepest of the nine hells- Alone, in the dark, in pain and unable to move. She can feel her life's blood draining out of her back, running down her sides in rivulets that are already turning cold. (down to 8 hit points)

Quayle runs aimlessly in fear saying ohgodohgodohgodohgod ...

But in a quiet corner of his head he thinks that there are no other doors in that room, Alora's toast, someone close the damn door and let's get out of here.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Alora shouts to the others. "Where's the door. I can't find the door. Make a noise so I'll know which way to go."

She will then try to follow the noise of her comrades and hope that the luck provided by her Luckstone and Luckblade help her find her way out.

Imoen will make noise, but without moving from where she is standing, to be precise, she will clap her hands. (pretty dangerous if you ask me, shadows lurking around and she is clapping :P).
  • The_Potty_1The_Potty_1 Member Posts: 436
As far as I remember Imoen is already running in circles making panicked whimpering noises. Surely these are not hard to follow?
  • CrevsDaakCrevsDaak Member Posts: 7,155
Imoen stopped to run after the effect of fear finished. Now she is clapping without walking.

Alora has got a really bad feeling about this.

Sometimes it's a hard world for small things ...

OOC: If only someone had an ability that would help see things as they truly are... oh wait someone does have that ability...

Keldorn! Come and save me! I'm dying!

Minsc rushes towards the sound of Alora's pleading. Axe in one hand he is careful to avoid triping in the darkness but he will attempt to scoop her up in one arm and return blows with anything that attacks as he backs towards safety.

Minsc is fully aware of Keldorn's, somewhat stained, reputation of heroics......

OOC : Ohh and I hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy the time of work everyone! Tell your dad we wish him the best Lady Rhain. And thank you for countless hours of enjoyment.

@Fenris308 Thank you! I shall! But I fear I might have to go back into the hospital- another toenail came off and I wrapped a bandage around my toe. When I went to change the bandage, a huge hunk of skin came off with it. No, I am NOT HAPPY about all this. :P

And the holiday descends… the characters find themselves at a huge feast, and a tree with presents underneath it in the corner. Presiding over the table is the Queen of the Faeries, dressed in a gorgeous blue silk dress with purple accents and embroidered with sparkling snowflakes. A delicate platinum crown, also decorated with jeweled snowflakes, lies on her hair the color of Russian Sable, and silvery-blue wings adorn her back. Five men share the head of the table, clad in red, pale blue and white, blue and green, sable and brown, and black and yellow. "Please," she invites in a kindly voice. "join me for a celebratory meal."

The table is set with sparkling crystal and snow-white linen, and huge platters of food and decanters of drink adorn the snowy white cloth, which is decorated with holly and snowflake motifs. The smell of the delicious foods drift to you, and you can see tinier fairies zipping around the embroidered tapestries that cover the walls. A feeling of ease and happiness overcomes you, as if you are held in a loving embrace.

occ Jaheira sneak up from behind and stabs the queen in the back. "That should yield a decent amount of XP." She then takes the crown and puts it on her own head. She does feel a bit guilty about ruining that nice dress though and makes a mental note to choke the next one instead.

    Clap if you believe.

I see this was a mistake. Very well. And that's that the dream ends for everyone.
  • lockmundlockmund Member Posts: 354
Nah, don't let my sense of humor spoil it for the rest. The five men tie Jaheira up and shove her into a closet. Then they use the raise dead scroll on the queen. ;)

Alora is more than willing to take part in a celebratory meal (even of the dream variety). She will of course eat as much as she can since she is a well-brought up young halfling and believes it is rude to leave anything on your plate if someone makes you dinner. She will, however, leave room for cake. Just in case there is any ...

Kivan will take the opportunity to hit on the faerie queen.
  • The_Potty_1The_Potty_1 Member Posts: 436
    The cake is a lie!

Quayle will stand next to the drinks wagon and get pleasantly legless.
  • LadyRhianLadyRhian Member Posts: 14,694
Gee, I'm sorry, but for some reason I no longer feel like continuing that.
  • Permidion_StarkPermidion_Stark Member Posts: 4,861
Oh well, it was a nice dream while is lasted.

Merry Christmas everyone. Wishing you health and happiness in the forthcoming year.

Quayle glares at the closet containing Jaheira and decides to dual class to thief, so he can show her how real backstabs are done.

OOC: I've been reading the Harry Dresden books, and in them the faerie are called the Sidhe. There's the Faerie Queen of Summer and the Faerie Queen of Winter. The Sidhe never gives anything away for nothing. They always have to bargain, that is their way. The Winter Queen is evil, so their bargains can't be trusted. But even the good Summer Queen has to bargain, so I think the feast would have had a price on it anyway. There is no free lunch, as they say.
  • mlnevesemlnevese Member, Moderator Posts: 10,214
OOC Actually the Winter Queen will always be true to her side of the bargain, not necessarily the way you think it'll happen though...
  • Awong124Awong124 Member Posts: 2,642
OOC Exactly, so you can't really trust the bargain because there will probably be some sort of loophole in the wording or something. Although Mab is supposedly quite hot...
