    I haven't even visited RPGCodex or GoG. I just kind of assumed people there would already be automatically furious, even though the game isn't out for download as of yet.

    @JuliusBorisov I do not necessarily agree with you. Sometimes, it's better to avoid these type of conflict altogether. For example, I will not spend time on Christian Creationnist forums to try to convince them that evolution is an efficient theory to explain life. Sometimes, it's better to accept that antagonistic views won't be reconciled.

    Where I'm totally with you though, is that we actually should take the high road and avoid these unconstructive conflicts. There's nothing to be gained by piling up on RPG Codex. And, for what it's worth, not every comments here were negative; some were saying that they would buy the game. We should avoid easy generalization.

    So, what I'm saying is that, while I don't agree with their position, I won't go to RPG codex to post my discontent. However, if such a thread appear on this forum, I will not fuel the fire by being outright antagonistic.

    True. I don't want to encourage a bunch of people to hate on RPGCodex or GoG. I just wanted to make a playful joke.

    A lot of RPGCodex / GoG players could be very productive members of our community. They probably want to make modules and play them too just like all of us.

    I don't think we should insult them but maybe listen to their feedback. Everyone wants a good product at the end of the day.

    TBH, the business over PST:EE was mostly started by a crazed Polish guy who bizarrely claimed that Beamdog "failed to properly credit Black Isle". He then raged over several networks, including Beamdog's Youtube channel, Rock Paper Shotgun, Steam forums, GOG, RPG Codex etc. He created GOG list and Steam group called "Beamdog are scumbags of the industry", was warned for making several transphobic comments on the Steam forums, and even the folks at RPG Codex asked him to calm down.

    RpgCodex / GOG isn't a "Hivemind". There are good apples and bad apples.
    Don't paint an entire community with a single brush.

    That will just breed resentment. Remove the outliers and welcome people who come in good faith and wanna make something awesome.

    NWN is only as strong as it's community. IMO.

    I have the impression that this meme will be used over and over as Beamdog announces what will not be implemented in NWN:EE.
