Guston hears but hardly feels bone crunching as he slams into the wall, his mace flying wide, and he blacks out for a moment. When he comes to, the gargoyle is bearing down on him, its breath in his face and he nearly faints again.
But something primal within him screams out for life and, as the gargoyle attacks, he finds himself, animalistically, searching for a weapon.
His hands grasp on the holy water and the small, high quality knife he had purchased for Vaga a few days ago. With a snarl, he throws himself at the gargoyle like an animal, stabbing repeatedly into the creature like the desperate criminal he is, heedless of anything around him.
Vaga runs up after Guston and also engages the Gargoyle Nate in melee and attacks with a flurry of blows. He would like to follow the gnome, but when he have to decide, he always prioritize Friends, Mission, Himself, in that order.
“I... WILL... HAVE... MY... CURE!” screams/growls Guston in an uncharacteristically harsh voice as he stabs the injured creature. No one knows, including himself, if he’s talking about the ring or not.
Seeing that the others have engaged the gargoyle, and that the gnome is pinned down after being bitten on his neck with no one being near him, Ignatius casts Burning Hands on the gnome instead of the gargoyle. He will not let the culprit escape!
Guston looks up as the gargoyle brings his attention to the gnome. “No!” screams Guston as the @Anduin is engulfed in flames.
He throws himself at the gnome, unsure what he’s trying to accomplish, but just mad with panic, fear, guilt, desperation, and confusion. He doesn’t know whether he’s trying to grab the ring, fight the gnome, or escape this frightening place.
Ignatius has to stop himself once again from casting the spell, as he sees Guston leap towards the gnome. Instead, he chooses to Levitate away from the gargoyle's reach, and follow the gnome. When he is in range, he shall use his Psychic Blade.

Dang it! I was hoping to get wreathed in flames this time! Lol
*Anduin health drops below 75% sequencer activated*
*Anduin aflame rises and screams hysterically trying to hug Guston*
I came in peace! I have not harmed any of you apart from to appease the gods! Guston! You are a bearer Guston! You have worn an item cast down from the gods themselves! Listen Guston! I have- Nooo! Wait!
The gargoyle smiles (well, smiles more) and turns its attention to the party. With a shrug, it says “Better luck next time, fools,” and produces another glowing stone, then gets sucked into the stone and disappears again. The stone falls to the floor, inert.

As soon as they are gone, Erica nearly falls to the floor, but she catches herself. She then walks into the room.
Upon looking around, the party finds that this room is a treasure vault, filled with sacks of gold and gems, as well as several interesting-looking items. Erica walks over to a large tapestry in the back of the room that seems to have something written on it. Erica starts reading it silently, her brow furrowed.
"It seems that our mission is not entirely successful this time." Kaled looks around, but tries not to trigger anything harmful. He also asks Erica: "What it writes?"
Well, let’s at least have a roll for it. Vaga: Attack: 2+2=4 Nope, he missed.
I was ninjad/jumpaposted! Things happens so fast I have to try and remember to refresh the thread from after I start to write a post but before I click "post"! Thanks for the rolls tho it seems my misfortune continues, hehe..
Reacting too slow, Vaga hits nothing but thin air and is but an inch from falling on the ground
(just 1 over crit fail!)
Vaga then begins to look around the premises, he haven't really taken the time to do that since they came due to the battle.
“No!” cries Guston again as the gnome disappears, grasping at thin air with one hand and clawing at his face with the other. Boils pop and ooze and cover his hands with grossness.
Trying to calm himself, he stands up, shaking with tension. A few deep breaths later and he looks around at the treasure, feeling empty.
Wearily, he crosses the floor to speak with Erica. “Before you touch anything, let me inspect it for traps...”
Kaled: Spot check: 16-1=15 Vaga: Spot check: 13+3=16 Ignatius: Spot check: 16+4=20 Guston: Spot check: 17+2=19 (yeah, NOW you get good rolls)
There are no traps in this room. However, there are: An unidentified long sword with a black blade An unidentified suit of gold plate mail armor An unidentified pair of boots An unidentified pair of gloves An unidentified helmet 2 unidentified daggers An unidentified shortbow A scroll of Arcane Lock A scroll of Mirror Image A scroll of Invisibility A scroll of Knock A scroll of Summon Monster 1 A scroll of Ventriloquism And 700 gp
Guston informs everyone else that there are no traps.
“I suppose this treasure is all ours now,” says Guston, his eyes lighting up slightly at the thought of all this treasure, though his eyes still have that haunted look.

Kaled watches helpless as the others do all the fighting. He would clench his teeth, if he could, but he can't do even so minor movement.

Ignatius throws a stone, which bounces off the gargoyle’s stone form harmlessly. The gargoyle keeps its attention on Guston as Fiora charges in.
The gargoyle ducks under her blade, giving Guston an opportunity to stand and attack with his dagger.
The gargoyle, surprised by his sudden ferocity, barely manages to deflect the attack as Vaga leaps into action.
And the gargoyle hears him coming and knocks his fists aside with its tail.
Ignatius casts Burning Hands.
Anduin takes the full blast of fire.
Erica stops coughing and hears Vaga’s instructions. With a quick casting of Remove Paralysis, Kaled is now free.
And the force of its spear-tipped tail knocks Ignatius to the ground.
Edit: While he rushes for the attack he yells a quick "thanks" to Erica.
The gargoyle jumps back from Kaled’s sword and growls. “Get out!” it yells to Anduin.
