Armed peasantry looking for source of suspicious noise walking past invisible people = possible accident... Even a stabbing or broken neck falling down stairs. As the unofficial good guy made out to be the bad guy... I DEMAND SOME KIND OF ROLL!!!
Yup, that’s a roll. Guston: Dexterity check: 1+3=4 (LMAO!)
So Guston walks down the hallway, expecting Fiora and the others to already be downstairs, when he suddenly bumps into something hard at the bottom of the stairs. Having been focusing on the noise, Fiora, Vaga, and Ignatius do not see him coming, and they are all suddenly pushed forward by an oblivious Guston. Classic comedy ensues, as the four adventurers fall forward loudly to the floor.

This ain't fair... You shouldn't alter the past just on the words of a gnome mummy! This should be corrected.
@nimran Maybe I totally misunderstood, but regarding the boots I was thinking about the potential barter that "Kaled" proposed, the boots and some gold for the sash, and that it was never concluded that we did that switch since Erica had left the building by the time I logged on and wrote. I never understood that the boots was for the bracers from Roan, rather I thought the bracers was some kind of quest reward. But I prolly misunderstood it completely. I will edit the above post and remove the boots! Loincloth and bracers is good enough for da dwarfie! Sorry for the confusion.
Edit: Ok now that I re-read that portion of the story @nimran, it's very obvious Roan traded Vaga the bracers for the boots! That's what happens when I browse to quickly on the phone.
Vaga feels something mushy and soft hit him in the back, like if a squishy child fell into him. Vaga falls forward into one of the others and they in turn fall into eachother. He has just enough time as he falls to realize it's Guston who has smashed into him. Vaga looses the balance completely and tumbles.
But at least now we don't sustain the same degree of injury that we would have, had we fallen all the way down the stairs! Anyways, thanks for fixing the description! A for justice!
And what's more, we are stillinvisible...
Ignatius gets up, obviously annoyed at having the plan being stalled by his fellow comrade. Whoever or whatever was there must have been already alerted by this loud noise. Nevertheless, he is still invisible, and that is definitely an advantage. Ignatius casts Levitation (Innate), and hovers towards the ceiling, away from the meddlesome interference of anyone, and moves towards the kitchen alone, aided by his natural darkvision, to find out the cause of the disturbance, and eliminate it, if necessary.
Since Levitation is a non-hostile spell, I trust that it should not break the Invisibility.
Strangely enough, there is nothing to see. The kitchen is as neat and tidy as it has always been without a halfling causing trouble. The cabinets are closed, and the dishes and silverware seem undisturbed. Everything is as it should be.
Vaga gets up from the entangled limbs of them all, scoffs a little at Guston's acrobatic attack on them that ruined their stealthy approach and then tries to listen intensely ahead.
"Fi, what was it you heard? All I hear is a little girl laughing and it sounds as if it comes from outside the inn. Surely a little girl is no danger to us.. a little girl laughin. In the midst of the night.. outside?" As he tells the others of what he heard he also at the same time start to realize the weird in it, that a girly voice is out there in the middle of the night. "That is a bit strange", he thinks to himself.
I guess Ignatius is too far to hear, but I believe Fi and Guston will hear Vaga. Kaled is still in his bed, right?
"let's check a bit more here in the inn, but if we don't see anything I think we should go outside and check it out. I got a feeling something... something is amiss."
”Fi, go get your gear. I will keep an eye out in the meantime. As you say, we should get prepped. Wake up Kaled while you go. He seems to be asleep still.” Vaga continues to peer out while saying this.
“Now, where did the little spider boy go?” Vaga thinks of Ignatius who seem to be very comfortable hanging upside down from ceilings.
*Fiora, having been watching the front, sees the door opem*
"Guston, Vaga, Ignatius! We have visitors, watch the front and beware of invisible attackers! I'm going to wake Kaled!"
*Fiora rushes to the her room to put on her armor and bracers and then goes to wake Kaled. In her excitement, she momentarily forgets how strong she now is and tries to slap Kaled awake.*
Comments
"In the darkness of the midnight,
Hidden from everybody's sight,
Something stirs beneath the flight
Of the stairs; and what be that might?
A thorough search is needed now
To find what has entered and how.
And before it can render harm,
It's arsenal we must disarm."
" 'Tis best to have our presence unknown,
And lightly let us make our way down."
And if some people get hurt or die...
Good.
*Fiora sneaks towards a window, to try and see the source of the laughter*
Fiora sees nothing but a heavy fog that completely obscures her vision.
"I got an eerie feeling."
*Fiora turns to the rest of the group*
"Who all left some of their gear in their room? I think we should be ready for anything tonight."
“Now, where did the little spider boy go?” Vaga thinks of Ignatius who seem to be very comfortable hanging upside down from ceilings.
Guston just bumped into an invisible force and now the very air is alive with the sounds of his friends plus the spooky laugh of a young girl!!!
…
If I was Guston I would be browning my clerics tunic as we speak!
…
I demand another roll! A wisdom check maybe?... Intelligence?
