A North Texas woman, Rosa Ortega, was sentenced to 8 years in prison for illegally voting.
The woman is a green card holder who almost certainly will be deported after her prison sentence. She has four kids, US citizens, aged between 13 and 16.
She could not find a permanent resident option on election forms so Ms. Ortega, who has a sixth grade education, checked the box that said citizen because she was a citizen of Mexico.
Others people who have voted like this have received probation. It is assumed that the AG of Texas, Ken Paxton, wanted to make an example of her to feed the false Republican narrative of rampant voter fraud. Ms. Ortega voted for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and had registered as a Republican.
This is an INSANE sentence for this kind of crime, and mirrors the 5 year sentence that an African-American woman got for voting while on probation mistakenly. It's beyond draconian. Frankly, I don't care that she is a Republican, it's ridiculous to think this would be more than a fine and 3 months MAX for a first time offense. 8 years?? That is 10% of an average person's life. But it is worth noting that nearly every case of actual fradulent votes being cast I've heard about since 2016 have been Trump supporters who stated their reasons for doing so were to cancel out the votes of the "illegals" they were told were voting.
Yes the punishment does not fit the crime. Rosa, by all evidence, didn't purposefully commit "voter fraud". There was no intent to do anything other that what 50% of the population is usually not bothered to do: vote.
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/22/1814619/-Greenberg-Trump-is-Beginning-to-Lose-His-Grip?detail=emaildkre Working people are not fools, and Mr. Trump promised them a Republican president who would never cut Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid; who would repeal Obamacare but provide “insurance for everybody”; who would get rid of bad trade deals and “drain the swamp,” as he never tired of saying. Instead, had Mr. Trump’s effort to replace Obamacare passed, it would have imposed vast cuts in retirement programs and driven up health insurance costs. His tax reforms were heavily weighted to large corporations and the top 1 percent. So it is no surprise that more than half of white working class men now believe that Mr. Trump is “self-dealing” and corrupt. Only half? I would think it should be more than that!
Trump reckoned that the U.S. was paying top military leaders millions per year

Kelly has told others about watching television with Trump and asking the president how much the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff earns. Trump guessed $5 million, according to people who were told the story by Kelly, startling the chief of staff. Kelly responded that he made less than $200,000. The president suggested he get a large raise and noted the number of stars on his uniform. Man, Trump really is a dimwit.

Former DHS Official Confirms on 60 Minutes that Admin Had No Plan to Reunite Families.

President Donald Trump’s White House wasn’t interested in tracking the families they separated, according to one former Homeland Security staffer. During an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Scott Shuchart explained that not only was Homeland Security never consulted about Trump’s new Executive Order that separated families at the border when they sought asylum. If you’re going to separate families in the pursuit of an immigration policy, it was irresponsible to push that on top of a system that wasn’t prepared on the backend to allow the families to be reconciled later,” Shuchart told Scott Pelley. Shuchart is no longer at DHS but he said it wasn’t like his expertise was of concern anyway. “If they had come to you, what would your office have said?” Pelley wondered. “We would’ve had advice on the way that needed to be done, on the recordkeeping that needed to be done. And our advice on that wasn’t sought out. And when we tried to provide it, it was ignored,” Shuchart explained.”

Little Free Library dedicated to Michelle Obama vandalized with Trump's name
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/25/1815108/-Little-Free-Library-dedicated-to-Michelle-Obama-vandalized-with-Trump-s-name?detail=emaildkre A Little Free Library in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., has been vandalized with Trump’s name. For those who aren’t familiar with them, Little Free Libraries are exactly as they sound. Small “libraries” (usually a box with a door) are put up in communities; there community members can leave a book or take a book. They rely on the honor system. They’re a great way to get to know your neighbors and give back to your (super) local community. Of course, you can also give and take from ones you happen to pass by while going through a neighborhood that isn’t your own. Literacy and community are the point. So just why is this one being vandalized, over and over again? The Little Free Library in question went up just after Trump’s inauguration, in early 2017. A plaque on the front of it reads: “In Honor of Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama. Lawyer, writer, and First Lady of the United States.” Now, as reported by the Washington Post, someone crossed out Obama’s name and wrote Trump’s name in black marker instead. This isn’t the first time the little library has been damaged. Shortly after Maureen Dolan-Galaviz, who originally put up the library outside of her home, erected it, someone wrote “eyesore” on it. Then someone broke the window. Then someone took the plaque. A neighbor replaced the plaque with a portrait of Obama, and before long, that too was taken. It says something about the people who would do something like this, don't you think.
Mnuchin is in the hot seat now. Is it Trump’s tax returns?
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/24/1814905/-Mnuchin-is-in-the-hot-seat-now-Is-it-Trump-s-tax-returns?detail=emaildkre Yesterday Peter Nicholas, Nick Timiraos and Bob Davis reported in the Wall Street Journal that President Trump has been telling insiders of his disappointment in Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, blaming him for the stock market’s recent decline and for rising interest rates. Although Trump later called the WSJ article “FAKE NEWS”, there’s likely fire underneath all that smoke. Trump might replace Mnuchin with an even Trumpier toady for a reason he might not divulge, even to insiders: his tax returns. Next year, incoming House Ways and Means Committee chair Richard Neal (D-MA) will likely ask the IRS for a copy of the Trump family’s tax returns as part of the committee’s investigation into their dubious financial dealings. Congress has the right to do this under Section 6103 of the tax code, passed after the Teapot Dome scandal of the 1920s when the Coolidge administration initially refused to give copies of relevant tax returns to Congressional investigators.

Outgoing GOP congresswoman Mia Love slams Trump in her concession speech

It was not really about asking him to do more, was it? Or was it something else? Well Mr. President, we'll have to chat about that. "However, this gave me a clear vision of his world as it is. No real relationships, just convenient transactions. That is an insufficient way to implement sincere service and policy. "This election experience and these comments shine a spotlight on the problems Washington politicians have with minorities and black Americans — it's transactional, it's not personal. “You see, we feel like politicians claim they know what's best for us from a safe distance, yet they're never willing to take us home. Because Republicans never take minority communities into their home and citizens into their homes and into their hearts, they stay with Democrats and bureaucrats in Washington because they do take them home — or at least make them feel like they have a home."

Judge Napolitano: Manafort's plea deal is literally "pardon proof"
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/27/1815613/-Judge-Napolitano-Manafort-s-plea-deal-is-literally-pardon-proof?detail=emaildkre Remember all the fears that Trump could simply pardon Paul Manafort for any federal crimes? Well, rest easy. In what appears to be a stroke of legal genius, Robert Mueller apparently structured the plea deal in a way to take that prospect into account. According to Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano, any attempt to pardon Manafort would not only be political suicide, but would be a waste of effort legally. Ed Krassenstein mentioned this on Twitter, and I thought it was snark. "BOOM! Judge Napolitano reports that in Paul Manafort's guilty plea, Robert Mueller also required Manafort to plead guilty to uncharged state crimes in New Jersey, Virginia and California to "make it pardon proof". Robert Mueller is a genius, and Manafort appears to be screwed!"

She has always been tactical, looking for the best ways to get Democrats elected. And if people had to refuse to support her? She didn’t care. Those new Democrats were then supposed to show up in the House, and then not vote for Pelosi. And no one would care because they’d vote “present” instead. Some of the most endangered might vote for some random other person (it happens every cycle), but again, no one would give a shit. It’d be all theater. But then the #FiveWhiteGuys led by Reps. Tim Ryan and Seth Moulton decided to make a big freakin’ show of their Pelosi opposition. And suddenly, battle lines have been drawn. People are paying attention to who votes for what. And now, a bunch of Red-state Democrats who would’ve gotten their free pass “no” vote for Pelosi are in the spotlight, with media conducting public whip counts. With prominent rebels now defecting, now’s the time for the #FiveWhiteGuys to hang things up. Let whoever needs to quietly vote “present” vote present, let Pelosi engineer a few “no” votes to protect vulnerable members, and stop turning this into a litmus test intra-party battle in the wake of historic victories.

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/5/3/1761752/-The-justice-system-is-failing-transgender-women?detail=emailLL Federal law requires that prisons assess gender identification for the purpose of housing on a case-by-case basis. Lindsay Saunders-Vélez, 20, came out as transgender at age 4; she was formally diagnosed in 2016 and has been undergoing hormone therapy since 2017. Yet she was incarcerated in a Colorado men’s prison last year after violating a plea deal. There, she was misgendered by staff and harassed, threatened, and assaulted by other prisoners. Last July, Saunders-Vélez sued the state’s corrections agency alleging that the prison system discriminates against and endangers transgender inmates. She went to court again in April after the prison moved to send her to an even more dangerous subsection as punishment. She sought protection, but the judge refused to ensure her safety. Last month, her lawyers requested a judge not send Saunders-Velez to her jail’s “punishment pod” for a disciplinary infraction, saying she could end up with inmates who had tormented her. The judge said the attorneys failed to prove an imminent risk, and rejected their request . In the “punishment pod,” Saunders-Vélez was viciously raped—the second time she’d been sexually assaulted in Colorado’s prison system.
Democrats create five House committees to destroy Betsy DeVos
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/24/1815002/-Five-House-Committees-set-to-go-after-Trump-appointee-Betsy-DeVos?detail=emaildkre Soon after his questionable election in 2016, Donald Trump began putting together his list of cabinet members whose combined net worth was approximately $14 billion (you know, appointees to whom the average American could relate). Betsy DeVos was one of those new cabinet members. Like Trump, she did her best to dismantle every positive achievement President Obama implemented that was beneficial to the people. DeVos then added her own policies that were proven to have a negative impact on the people. After Democrats won majority in the House of Representatives in November’s midterm elections, and after painfully watching DeVos unravel the nation’s education policies that were already working, a good number of Democrats have now opted to go after DeVos by creating five House committees led by five powerhouse Democratic congressional members to investigate her. She can expect the worst after Democrats are sworn in this January. As many as five Democratic-led House committees next year could take on DeVos over a range of issues such as her rollback of regulations aimed at predatory for-profit colleges, the stalled processing of student loan forgiveness and a rewrite of campus sexual assault policies. “Betsy DeVos has brought a special mix of incompetence and malevolence to Washington — and that’s rocket fuel for every committee in a new Congress that will finally provide oversight,” said Seth Frotman, who resigned as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s top student loan official earlier in protest of Trump administration policies likely to be examined by Democrats.
Milwaukee said officers justified in shooting of unarmed black man, new video destroys that story
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/27/1815543/-Milwaukee-officials-covered-up-shooting-of-unarmed-black-man-but-new-video-destroys-that-story?detail=emaildkre What the video shows is a freaking-out Officer Stahl, gun trained on Smith, yelling and cursing at Smith, screaming at him to “put your hands in the air!” Smith can be seen with his hands stretched out, fingers spread—nothing in them. At all. He is also standing a good 8-10 feet away from the nearest air-conditioning vent. Smith then begins to lie down face-first on the floor, so very clearly in submission, when shots from both officers ring out. His cellphone can be seen falling out of his pocket as he drops to the floor. He grabs at his groin—he was shot in that area, a bullet lodged in his pelvic region—and the cops continue to scream at him. He alternates between covering his head with his hands, having already been grazed by one of the bullets, and covering his groin, where he has clearly been shot. While this happens, Stahl can be loudly heard screaming, “Do not fucking move! Do not fucking move!” Smith reaches for his groin again. Stahl repeats, “Don’t move! Do not fucking move! Stay down!” At this point, Officer Finkley comes into frame while trying to handcuff Smith. Stahl yells, “I got him! I got him!” At this point, Smith begins wailing, “Help me! Help me! Why y’all shoot me? Why y’all shoot me?” Oh well, those cops might kiss their careers goodbye. On a good day. When the stars align. When the Moon is in the 7th House...
Stacey Abrams Files Federal Lawsuit Detailing GA's Extensive Voter Suppression, by Steven Rosenfeld
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/27/1815651/-Stacey-Abrams-Files-Federal-Lawsuit-Detailing-GA-s-Extensive-Voter-Suppression-by-Steven-Rosenfeld?detail=emaildkre The federal lawsuit filed by thwarted Georgia Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams and a coalition of mostly female domestic workers on Tuesday portrays Georgia’s 2018 election as a veritable horror show of intentionally anti-democratic and often racist voter suppression tactics—possibly unmatched since Ohio’s 2004 presidential election. At every stage of the voter registration, ballot distribution, ballot validation and vote-counting process, a system of rules and state laws overseen by the governor-elect, Republican Brian Kemp—the top state election official until his resignation after Election Day—and State Election Board failed to help every eligible voter participate and cast a ballot that would be counted, the 65-page complaint filed in U.S. District Court enumerated in great detail. “Without the right to vote, all other democratic rights are illusory,” the complaint begins. “In the 2018 General Election, Georgia’s election officials broke that compact. The Secretary of State and State Election Board grossly mismanaged the election that deprived Georgia citizens, and particularly citizens of color, of their fundamental right to vote. This complaint describes the serious and unconstitutional flaws in Georgia’s elections process—flaws that exist today.”
Death of American on remote Indian island is an indictment of fundie "bubble boy" mentality
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/22/1814707/-Death-of-American-on-remote-Indian-island-is-an-indictment-of-fundie-bubble-boy-mentality?detail=emaildkre Chau knew that he was taking a big risk. He’d made no fewer than two previous attempts to visit the island, and bribed seven fishermen to take him there; those fishermen have been arrested. Indeed, he started his trips under cover of darkness to evade Indian Navy patrols. But had he done any kind of research, he would have known why this was a bad idea. So how did this happen? But then I saw that Chau graduated from Oral Roberts University, the hyperfundie school in Tulsa founded by the infamous televangelist Oral Roberts. The great majority of that school’s students grew up in a bubble of Christian schools or Christianist-oriented homeschool curricula, filtered Internet service, and the likes of “The 700 Club” and Christian radio stations as news sources. Is it possible that Chau didn't know to find out why the Sentinelese didn't want to be contacted by anyone, let alone Christian missionaries? His diaries, provided by his family to The Washington Post, certainly suggest this. In one entry, he wondered, “Lord, is this island Satan’s last stronghold where none have heard or even had the chance to hear your name?” In other words, someone fixated on getting more notches in his Bible, and everything else be hanged. I encountered this mentality at Carolina when I got pulled into a hypercharismatic campus ministry that believed while the person wants to hear about Jesus, their spirit has been so screwed around with by the devil that they don’t want to listen. When all is said and done, whoever helped Chau get to India should share responsibility for his death. But to my mind, his death should also be an indictment of the fundie mentality. Keeping kids away from the outside world doesn’t just leave them unprepared for the real world. It could potentially kill them. Earlier in the comments, I took note of Survival International blasting the Indian government for lifting one of the restrictions on visiting North Sentinel Island. To be clear, I think Chau bears the bulk of the responsibility. Does anyone seriously believe that nobody in India told him why the island was off limits? That removed any defensible reason for him to be there. While I think the Indian government should have patrolled more, the near-certainty that Chau kept trying to go despite being told why it was a bad idea puts the bulk of the blame on him.
In a blockbuster interview, key Mueller witness and Roger Stone associate Jerome Corsi admits to MSNBC’s Ari Melber that he lied to Congress, that he tried to get stolen Clinton emails back to the Trump campaign in 2016, that he “absolutely” intended to help the Trump campaign by doing so, that he told Roger Stone about John Podesta’s emails and that his lawyers are still communicating with Trump’s legal team “as if” there is a joint legal defense. Ari Melber also presses Corsi on being a leader of the “birther movement” which Ari describes as a “total and complete lie” and asks him whether he is auditioning for a Trump pardon by bringing the subject of pardons up during the interview.
Corsi isn't just the second-biggest pusher of the birther nonsense (next to Trump). He did the same thing to John Kerry in 2004 by engineering lies about his war record. Anyone who thinks the Republican Party wasn't "Trumpian" before would be WELL advised to go watch some clips of the 2004 RNC, where the entire convention hall were wearing Purple Heart band-aids on their face straight-up MOCKING Kerry's war record. They've been trafficking in this kind of flat-out slander for years.
Furthermore, both Stone and Corsi were pushing the HEAVILY circulated story that Hillary and the DNC had Seth Rich murdered. FOX pushed it for weeks. It is still taken as gospel on right-wing Youtube. They KNEW the Russian hackers stole the emails, yet concocted a murder fantasy instead to deflect from it. In addition, Julian Assange, who knew better than anyone this Seth Rich bullshit was a lie, said NOTHING.
Seth Rich's parents begged and pleaded for those spreading lies and conspiracies about their son's death to stop. Eventually, they had no choice but to sue FOX News. But every batshit, fever swamp theory that ends up on FOX or Trump's twitter feed emanates from people like Corsi and Stone. I hope they both rot in jail and Assange is stuck hiding like a coward in the Ecuadorian embassy for the rest of his life.:

Now Michael Cohen is pleading guilty to lying to Congress about the Russia probe. At what point does anyone with any sense at all start wondering just why in the hell EVERYONE around the President is lying about everything all the time when asked questions by investigators. And they are all pleading guilty to it. His lawyer, his National Security Adviser, his former Campaign and Deputy Campaign Managers, and soon Corsi and Stone as well. Are we supposed to believe they are deliberately misleading investigators for shits and giggles?? This isn't smoke, this is a raging house fire. Everyone in his inner circle is copping pleas or getting indicted/convicted.
The focus of the plea?? Apparently Cohen was lying about the Trump Tower Moscow deal. Trump has already submitted some of his answers to Mueller. Now Cohen and other evidence they have will likely directly contradict what Trump said if it was one of the answers he provided.
Trump's joint defense plans where the lawyers for Trump, Corsi, Stone, Manafort and others all get together to keep their story straight sure sounds like a freaking criminal conspiracy as well, doesn't it. According to Rudy Guilliani there's 30 co-defendants that have this agreement.
Not to mention Trump continuously dangling pardons and tweeting about how he's dreaming about heroes in the Russia probe who obstruct or hinder Mueller (hint hint Whitaker right).
There's zero chance Trump isn't guilty. The question is will he evade justice again as he has so many times in his criminal past???
Surprised Trump cancelled the meeting with Russia. Something tells me Bolton had a heavy hand in that decision. It is also the right one.
With both Russian actions, and the Saudi murder cover up over shadowing the procedures, one has to wonder if Trump is going to play it low key. It’s not his style, but I can’t think of anything drastic he can do there that will cause a bigger ruckus than that is already happening.
The only thing I think I can see him doing is tearing up the USMCA agreement to spite GM closing factories and pushing for higher tariffs on Mexican made cars. He may do it, even though it is his only real win to date, because a) Congress may scuttle they deal b) Canada or Mexico might be leary of signing it with the amended changes and Trump will do A “You don’t break up with me, I break up with you” spat. It is still a highly unlikely scenerio.
He could also impose more tariffs on China if he doesn’t get his photo op sign-a-deal-which-isn’t-really-a-deal, but at this point, that’s expected. US is not going to win in that fight.
Surprised Trump cancelled the meeting with Russia. Something tells me Bolton had a heavy hand in that decision. It is also the right one.
The tweet was definitely written by a staffer.
"Based on the fact that the ships and sailors have not been returned to Ukraine from Russia, I have decided it would be best for all parties concerned to cancel my previously scheduled meeting in Argentina with President Vladimir Putin,"
That's not a Trump tweet.
Also, less than an hour before, Trump told reporters that the G20 conference "a good time to have the meeting [with Putin]." Obviously, his staffers had other ideas.
Probably because the entire basis of their 2+ year defense in the Russia investigation is falling apart by the hour. The Cohen filing clearly indicates Trump was directing Cohen to talk to Moscow about Trump Tower during the campaign, and indicates Don Jr. lied to Congress about Cohen reporting back to the family. Trump continues to talk about everyone caught lying for him as if he's a goddamn mob boss. Which he basically is.

Mr. Trump’s Unsafe Neighborhood: 33 Ways Trump’s Cruel Policies Are Bad for America’s Kids

They are emblematic of an administration whose antipathy to all children is apparent on virtually every issue, and especially so for low-income kids and children of color. *Faked concern about school shootings: Trump did nothing after 17 high school students were gunned down in Parkland, Fla. Instead of action that would actually make schools safer, Trump proposed to arm teachers, and his administration set up a sham commission to study school safety issues that intentionally chose to ignore the role of guns in school violence. While Trump briefly endorsed some gun-control measures and observed accurately that that the gun lobby has “great power over” Republicans, the Trump administration has avoided the gun control issue, save for a promised ban on ultra-dangerous “bump stocks” which allow semi-automatic weapons to fire more quickly. *Tried to throw out a climate-change lawsuit filed by children: A group of young people between 10 and 25 sued the federal government in 2015 for failing to stop climate change, arguing that they have the right to live in a safe climate. The Trump administration tried to get the U.S. Supreme Court to stop the case before the scheduled trial date, complaining about the cost of the litigation, but the court allowed the case to proceed.

Iam in shock that anyone could want to do this to another person.

David Valadao in California’s 21st Congressional District after the final ballots out of Fresno and Kings Counties took his lead from 436 votes on Monday evening to 529 votes now. Valadao, who held a lead until Monday, has yet to concede, but his prospects are looking incredibly grim. As we wrote on Monday, the Republican was hoping that the remaining ballots out of conservative Kings County would lift him back into the lead. That already looked unlikely to happen, but his math got even worse when the final Kings County ballots were counted on Wednesday, and Cox ended up netting 70 votes from the pile.

If he had anything worthwhile I think he would have leaked it or released it already. As if he could have restrained himself for all this time, come on this guy is Mr. No Impulse Control, Mr. Attack Everything.
So this is a big nothing burger distraction. More lies lies lies.
James Comey is fighting his House subpoena for a closed door interview on Russia matters. He said he's willing to have a public interview but not a closed door thing where after it's over Republicans will selectively leak distortions and out of context lies and partisan spin.
There's a couple of things that cone to mind about this.
First of all, he's absolutely right about House Republicans bad intentions and their plans to distort his testimony.
Second of all, I thought Republicans in the House finished their investigation into Russia months ago after not following literally 80% of the leads. They said nothing happened no collusion, no obstruction of justice. As there have been continuous developments we know this is a goddamned lie but why change their tune? Hmm?
Third of all, it will be interesting to see if he can get away with refusing the subpoena since once House Democrats take over they will be subpoenaing the crap out of all the criminals in Trumpland. And presumably a few of them will try to fight the subpoena thinking Bart Kavanaugh, I like beer, will have their back
I wonder if he will protest if he was asked to testify in or after January.
Comey wouldn't be protesting now except that they want it to be hidden. Republicans want hidden private testimony.
Comey says he has no problem with PUBLIC testimony.
If after Jan, Dems want private testimony he might object there too. Even then Republicans would leak and lie.
There's been so much crap with Trump but earlier when the House was doing investigations there were lies told about closed door testimony and the dossier that when the truth came out it revealed the Republican talking points for the lies and distortions they were.
I think I'm thinking about the Nunes memo but Fusion GPS also had problems with closed door testimony. With the Nunes memo Republicans were lying about it but when the transcript was declassified it showed House Republicans to be liars who were misconstruing the facts to fit their preferred narrative.
Canada, the US and Mexico sign USMCA at the G20 and also sanction Saudi Arabia:
On Thursday morning, in Buenos Aires, Freeland announced that Canada would use its Magnitsky law — named in honour of Sergei Magnitsky, an accountant who died while in Russian custody after investigating corruption — to impose sanctions on 17 individuals tied to the murder, joining France and the U.S. The law allows Canada to target the property of foreign officials “who have committed gross violations of internationally recognized human rights.” https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/canada-sanctions-saudi-officials-over-murder-of-journalist-what-to-watch-as-g20-summit-gets-underway

Greenberg: Trump is Beginning to Lose His Grip
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/22/1814619/-Greenberg-Trump-is-Beginning-to-Lose-His-Grip?detail=emaildkreWorking people are not fools, and Mr.

Little Free Library dedicated to Michelle Obama vandalized with Trump's name
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/25/1815108/-Little-Free-Library-dedicated-to-Michelle-Obama-vandalized-with-Trump-s-name?detail=emaildkreA Little Free Library in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, D.C., has been vandalized with Trump’s name.
Lawyer, writer, and First Lady of the United States.”
Now, as reported by the Washington Post, someone crossed out Obama’s name and wrote Trump’s name in black marker instead.
Is it Trump’s tax returns?
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/24/1814905/-Mnuchin-is-in-the-hot-seat-now-Is-it-Trump-s-tax-returns?detail=emaildkreYesterday Peter Nicholas, Nick Timiraos and Bob Davis reported in the Wall Street Journal that President Trump has been telling insiders of his disappointment in Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, blaming him for the stock market’s recent decline and for rising interest rates.

The justice system is failing transgender women
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/5/3/1761752/-The-justice-system-is-failing-transgender-women?detail=emailLLFederal law requires that prisons assess gender identification for the purpose of housing on a case-by-case basis.
Democrats create five House committees to destroy Betsy DeVos
https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2018/11/24/1815002/-Five-House-Committees-set-to-go-after-Trump-appointee-Betsy-DeVos?detail=emaildkreSoon after his questionable election in 2016, Donald Trump began putting together his list of cabinet members whose combined net worth was approximately $14 billion (you know, appointees to whom the average American could relate).

Do not fucking move!”
Smith reaches for his groin again. Why y’all shoot me?”
Oh well, those cops might kiss their careers goodbye. On a good day. When the stars align. When the Moon is in the 7th House...
Stacey Abrams Files Federal Lawsuit Detailing GA's Extensive Voter Suppression, by Steven Rosenfeld

In one entry, he wondered, “Lord, is this island Satan’s last stronghold where none have heard or even had the chance to hear your name?”
In other words, someone fixated on getting more notches in his Bible, and everything else be hanged.

Interestingly, the evil socialists in Norway, Finland, Sweden and Denmark rank higher than Canada (8th) and the US (17th). But somehow our system doesn't work.
The focus of the plea?? Apparently Cohen was lying about the Trump Tower Moscow deal. Trump has already submitted some of his answers to Mueller. Now Cohen and other evidence they have will likely directly contradict what Trump said if it was one of the answers he provided.

Goldstein claims that Whitaker was illegally installed as the temporary successor of former attorney general Jeff Sessions, and that Rosenstein is the legal and constitutional successor to Sessions. The motion argues that as the Senate-confirmed Deputy Attorney General, Rosenstein automatically succeeded to the role of Acting Attorney General under 28 USC § 508(a) and the Appointments Clause in Article II of the Constitution.
The motion calls for the court to resolve this dispute immediately. The Attorney General has a number of responsibilities, including appointing immigration judges, determining whether to enforce federal statutes and overseeing the investigation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller.”

As if he could have restrained himself for all this time, come on this guy is Mr. No Impulse Control, Mr. Attack Everything.
So this is a big nothing burger distraction. More lies lies lies.
And presumably a few of them will try to fight the subpoena thinking Bart Kavanaugh, I like beer, will have their back
Comey says he has no problem with PUBLIC testimony.
I think we are seeing the endgame now.
