I don't doubt it. It also sounds like this isn't the greatest run Indian reservation. More like reprobates trying to run a gambling establishment. Trump's kind of people normally. They must have really pissed him off somehow...

As predictable as the sun rising in the East. Florida takes the cake for stupidity, even with stiff competition:

All Trumps knows on how to do as far as leading is to blame others and build walls.

"Hey Trump, there's a problem! A serious health emergency!"
"Can we build a wall around it?"

Of course he wants to quarantine New York and blame them. That would be just up his alley. "It's not my responsibility, it's New York's fault!"

The worst person possible in charge is in charge. He just wants to take credit for good things and blame others for bad things and he does not want to actually help anyone or do the things expected of his damn job.

I would love to see a venn diagram of all the people who wanted to invade the entire Middle East on September 12, 2001 and the people who are now getting poised to blame New York for the pandemic.

We told you this would happen after Puerto Rico and the California wildfires. It's also, at it's core, what impeachment was about. If you can't "offer" him something in return, he doesn't care:

Meanwhile, Trump wants to put HIS signature on the relief checks. Because it's his money, you know. Not the people who pay taxes. He believes he owns the country. He's believed it from Day One. The biggest grift and con in history. The strategy to absolve himself is clear. Here is why it might not work:

It shouldn’t surprise anyone that swing states will get the most from the federal government. This will be followed by Republican controlled senate seats which are up for re-election this year, followed closely by democratic held seats in contested areas, where they will first blame the democrat for the shortfall for a week or two and then swoop in with the supplies.

Everyone else will get jack, and he’ll pull what he pulled with New York, saying ‘supplies have been delivered, but they are just sitting in storage’ b.s.

The fact that this is where we are at is obscene. Jimmy Carter would have never done this. Ronald Reagan would not have done this. George H.W. Bush would not have done this. Bill Clinton would not have done this. George W. Bush would not have done this. Barack Obama would not have done this.

Everyone has just sort of ACCEPTED the fact that the President is going to allocate resources based on electoral math and personal grievances. It will kill people, and leave front-line hospital workers in a war-zone without armor and ammunition. I'll never accept it as normal. Never.

Reagan and Bush both basically did this with HIV/AIDS. I don't think Clinton or W were much better, for that matter.

And it's because your Governor is a.) a Democrat and b.) a woman. I mean, Trump IS aware at least 40-45% of Michigan voters are conservative and would appreciate hospitals that are sufficiently stocked, right?? But he can't even bring himself to think like that. The only thing going through his head is "that uppity bitch wasn't nice enough to me, let's make sure her state and it's 10 million residents don't get what they need in the biggest crisis since the Great Depression". I mean, is there a point here where people realize "holy shit, he said it wasn't anything to worry about, he said it was under control, yet me and everyone I know has someone close to them either dead or in an ICU, maybe I should rethink this." Eventually, in the next 3 weeks, the reality on the ground, in the bank account, and in the morgue is going to collide with his full-court press PR campaign. 35% of people will eat it up. They're a lost cause. But will ANYONE else??

We're about a week or two away from having to quibble with Republicans over the definition of what exactly counts as a mass grave.

I guess you are not in a swing state after all. Republicans decided they don't need you.

Welcome to the taxation without representation club under the Trump administration.

As JJ alluded to, If you have a Democratic leader in charge, they first need to be thrown under the bus and have the populace turn on them before you’re getting aid.

That would reward this child like behavior. It's not right. We cool with all future Presidents punishing the states that don't vote for them with death? Doesn't seem like a functional plan for the country unless we're cool now with dictatorship.

It doesn't seem like a functional plan unless we've completely lost our minds, which apparently we have. Again, there were canaries in the coalmine with all of this. Puerto Rico being abandoned, his reaction to the wildfires in California, his insistence that he extract something useful to him from Ukraine before they receive the aid money. This is not behavior that suddenly dropped out of the sky. We've had AMPLE warning this is how he would act. We can't sit here and pretend this isn't who he has always been and that we haven't been given sign after sign after sign this is how he would behave in a national crisis. Adam Schiff's closing argument during the impeachment trial can now be seen as prophetic.

Well you have to give him props for coming up with great nicknames, though. Gretchen 'Half'-Whitmer? That ain't going away soon! I wonder if he comes up with them himself? They're so High School I'll bet he does...

Well le'Empereur didn't get his way apparently. Michigan got over 100,000 surgical masks yesterday. The petulant child almost seems like a pouty figurehead these days while the 'real men' are doing their best behind the scenes.

Edit: Don't look behind the curtain people. Oz the Great and Terrible is a sham. The President of the USA is NOT the most powerful person on the planet...

I think it remains ridiculous and I don't think they're that good. High school is pushing it. He's basically on the level of a kid who realizes two words rhyme. Some aren't even on that level. It's 5th grade humor aimed at citizens who likely shouldn't have even passed that particular grade. It's another form of anti-intellectualism. If that sounds harsh, well, we've pretended the uninformed idiocy of some is just as valid as the informed opinion of others for long enough. Now it's getting people killed.

You will also find that his "insults" are picked up by every dipshit on social media and repeated verbatim because they aren't intelligent enough to come up with anything on their own. As someone who has listened to right-wing media for years as a sort of masochistic side-project, I've also learned that people simply repeat what they hear on these shows as their argument, word for word. They are basically parrots who think they've deciphered the Rosetta Stone.

There's no such thing as "facts" or anything lol with him.

Hows it go? He didn't say it. And if he did say it he didn't mean it. And if he did say it and mean it you are misunderstanding him. And if he did say it and mean it and you didn't misunderstand him he didn't really mean it. And if.... etc etc etc

Today his theory de jour is that NY medical workers are either hoarding or selling masks on the black market. Which is batshit insane. People are giving him direct quotes and he is denying he said them. There is nothing to be done here. There is no President. The networks need to stop covering these. They are nothing but a substitute for his rallies.

Agreed, but it looks to me like the adults in the room finally stepped up. If I was a betting man (wait, actually I am!) I'd say the Republican Party threatened him with a REAL impeachment...

Edit: I believe this is what you were referring to.

We went from "it's gonna be 0 cases" to "it'll only be a couple 100,000 dead because of me" awfully fast. Does cognitive dissonance even exist for people who see logic in this shit??
