Yep - I used to look forward to the Twitch streams and news in these forums but not so much now.
Axis & Allies - only on PC
Move towards some new original product in the future ...
Consoles - which I never play on .....
I understand the drive and benefits from Axis and Allies and Console items but it seems they were also hiring quite a bit ... Is there no meat (significant new product) coming for party based RPG - (and from my perspective) especially on mobile?
Since Axis and Allies is online, they were hiring people to handle that capacity of the game (networking).
Don’t get me wrong, I am intrigued for A&A. I’ve been on a digital board game kick for awhile and want to see what Beamdog brings to the table (ha cliched pun!).
But I always figured this game was just a stop gap between crpg titles. When they even say we have nothing planned next, you have to be a little concerned.
I wasn't expecting anything specific, so Axis and Allies is no disappointment to me. I do prefer fantasy games, though, so maybe if somebody created a mod that let me play as a mage in Axis and Allies...
I've a LOT of fun with digital board games. If the only thing holding you back on giving it a chance, is that its a board game, don't let that stop you.
I'd love if Beamdog did the original Fallout. Fallout 2 at least has the unofficial patch, but the original only has fixit which is... well, rather variable.
You know what board game would translate well into a computer game? Tabletop Dungeons and Dragons! It's a good thing we already have an engine capable of easily creating entire games from scratch, right Beamdog?

From the latest Beamblog, it seems like Beamdog doesn't even know what their next release is going to be.
I am bummed.

If this is a way for them to diversify more and attract broader crowds, all the better for beamdog.
