Collective nouns for D&D creatures?

A flock sheep, a litter of puppies, a herd of cows, a murder of crows, a parliament of owls, a school of fish.

But what should the collective nouns be for kobolds, xvarts, neo-otyughs, liches, halflings, demi-liches and the like?

A gaggle of goblins? A congregation of conjurers?

probably for the humanoid types like goblins and kobolds the same as the one used for humans, if there is not a better and more specific word in the FR lore.
as not native english speaker, i learned the little i know mostly traveling, i am not the best one to have an informed opinion, i am only guessing.

Those collective nouns are used for animals.

It's tough to justify calling kobolds, xvarts, liches, etc. animals.

Totally on board with a half of halflings, though.

I like all of your suggestions but for some reason a cup of spiders really appeals to me.

How about a mess of orcs?

Some 3.5E monster stat descriptions included words for groups of the monster. I don't have the regular 3.5E Monster Manual on hand at this second, but here are some of the collective nouns for epic monsters in the Epic Level Handbook:

"A command line of 2-5 anaxims and 5-12 iron golems"
"A hell brigade of 1 infernal and 1d4 balors"
    "A company of behemoth gorillas"
    "A cluster of devastation scorpions"
    "A nest of ha-nagas"
    "A polyp of mu spores"
"A troupe of 1 brain collector and 2d4 illithids"
    "An infestation of thorciasids"
    "A madness of uvuudaums"

There's a spider lady in Undertale named Muffet who sells pastries and cider, but when you can't afford it, she attacks you for being stingy. One of the flavor texts during the fight is Muffet pouring you a cup of spiders.

Muffet is popular among fans because of the sexy. There's a lot of fanart and stuff of Muffet.

    Oh please no.

@semiticgod To be fair, a very...visible chunk of the fandom seems to think EVERY character in sexy.

How about a gattai of pantaloons? The Big Metal Unit mecha ought to qualify as a D&D creature... right? RIGHT!?!

A lounge of liches (I imagine them hanging out on tombstone sofas, complaining about the hardship of undeath)

The periodic table of elementals deserves a prize.

Edit: I had to google "rule34" . And it made me want to hide under the desk, especially in combination with ettercaps.
