    @grom56 You are correct, sir. v78.8186 is the current Retail branch, while the current Development branch is v78.8187. You can find the release notes on NWN:EE's webpage on Steam. Thank you for reading, and happy gaming to all.

    I had that on a GBA about 15 years ago. It was...weird. 3rd person isometric, not 1st. Clunky as hell, but actually not that bad a game once you got into it. Definitely one for the specialists though.

    @Prince_Raymond , thank you for your reply. I don't miss around with steam, so no luck on any update notes for me. Oh well.... If there's one thing I really dislike about Beamdog, is that all the good stuff seems to only be for steam users. It's the main reason I've not gotten any other of the games I was interested in.

    It's just that the patch release notes are published on the Steam page. However, they are always linked in the thread on this forum - https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/69316/introducing-the-nwn-ee-development-branch#latest

    The development build, however, is available both in the Beamdog Client and Steam.

    @JuliusBorisov , thank you. So I understand you, that yellow "Update" box in my client is still the dev patch, and the retail update is still to come. My hope is that there will be a notice posted when the retail is ready as I've gotten used to seeing that yellow box and just walking by.

    I think a lot of the reason Steam feels like it gets more attention is that Steam is already built around providing online services for games. Their customers expect bells and whistles. Whereas the cost to add bells and whistles to the Steam client would be wasted on customers who don't want something like Steam since they are the ones using it.

    I don't think it'd hurt to add some basic features to have it integrate forum news more though. That audience would probably appreciate links to the blogs and discussions. Otherwise you have situations like this where people wonder what is going on.

    I never beat the original but I did complete the GBA version. It felt like a proper Gold Box game, which is different from the original. You're limited to the base four classes of Fighter-Thief-Cleric-Wizard, and the rule set is 3.0 up through level 7. (And while Sleep is still the God Spell at low level, it's not party friendly)

    I actually just posted a bug for iOS om redmine the other day (https://forums.beamdog.com/discussion/comment/1053635/#Comment_1053635). It was an oversight om my part, and an unfortunate delay yet again for us all - sorry guys.

    My impression is that BD is adamant on erradicating all bugs and therefor still at work. The updates are going to come when the bugs are done with. Its going to be worth the wait if you ask me

    I can't speak to your impression, but the last I heard the 2.6 patch was on hold for unknown (and apparently undisclosable) reasons.

    As for my impression, I haven't seen Beamdog interact with my bug report tickets on Redmine for quite a while now. They've always been very slow with game updates and public ticket QA, but as of now both areas seem to have screeched to a halt. Whatever the reason, we can only speculate as they haven't exactly been forthcoming about what's going on with the IE games or what sort of future development we can expect post-2.6 (if any).

    @Adul Its not unknown, Beamdog has already stated that 2.6 has been delayed so that it can be released at the same time as the new portrait/voice pack. Technically, I think its the pack that is delayed, with the 2.6 simply bundled with it.

    @ThacoBell Are you sure that's a statement they've made and not just speculation on the part of the community? Maybe I missed the statement you're referring to, but this is the last thing I've heard from Beamdog on the reason(s) for the delay:
    What's holding the 2.6 patch - some things just cannot be explained at the moment. We're sorry. While we're doing our best at being honest with the community, it's not always possible to communicate certain things.

    It was stated in one of the last few livestream roundups. So unless that has changed, I've been going with that.

    @Adul Yeah, its always been hard to tell what is going on at Beamdog. We get little scraps of info at a time, and sometimes we get stuff that seems conflicting. Personally, I think they have come through more times than they have failed, but having to just wait with no concrete info is stressful.

    I have a feeling we seen the end of days for the IE games guys, sadly, I think Beamdog is moving on to big and brighter things at least they think they are, but who knows; all we can do is sit back and watch and read. :neutral:

    Well, they did say 2.6 wouldn't be the last patch. Granted, plans can change but until they explicitly contradict their previous statement, not all hope is lost.

    I would imagine that the 2.6 patch would eventually come out as it's tied to a DLC that they probably still want to sell. (Unless it becomes tied up in some sort of development hell forever, which isn't unheard of in this industry.) As for what happens after that is anyone's guess, though as I expressed previously I tend to have a similarly pessimistic feeling about it, just based on how little has been going on with the IE games recently.

    Though there's another factor that might be relevant, and that's the console ports, which currently seem to be sucking up at least some of Beamdog's IE development effort. There's perhaps some hope that after the console ports are released, the franchises would receive a boost in interest that could lead to further dev support trickling down to the non-console versions. But not necessarily, as the console ports could also just turn out so different that any updates wouldn't be worth it to Beamdog to port back to PC.

    I guess time will tell.

    I have a laundry list of Redmine links saved down about bugs I’d like to see fixed before I embark a play through (and a couple features.)

    The Enhanced Editions do have a number of very good fixes—some of which vanilla can never have as they require source code access—but they still need some maintenance.

    @Raduziel Actually now that you mention it I do have an issue with the games running using my laptops NVIDIA graphics card. The game just stutters and doesn't run correctly so I stand corrected there as I completely forgot about that. I fixed the issue by switching the games to run via my laptops built in Intel HD Graphics Chipset and they all run fine when set to use that. Other than that I haven't encountered anything else you mentioned lol What's the plot hole if you don't mind me asking? I haven't played siege of dragonspear for a while so I cant really remember.
