The opening post on this thread is very out of date; don't take it as the present state of IWD2EE. The most recent update was only a couple of weeks ago. We are almost done with the NPC dialogue at this point. The main things we still need to do before IWD2EE is released are:
1. Give portraits to the NPCs
2. Write biographies for the NPCs
3. Give soundsets to the NPCs
4. Enhance the rest of the GUI
I think people are getting impatient. All these "I want to be a beta tester, here is my github link" are so many disguised means to try to have IWD2EE before the time.
note : not me, i'm not fan of IWD2EE, it's not a rpg, it's a hack'n'slash.

It is an extensive mod, not a commercial release. Plenty of mods never get officially released or even noticed. If you feel such entitlement, then you have plenty of commercial rpgs to buy. This mentality is typically first to whine when something doesn't work right on a "release" and that leaves you with the choices of self-modding or abandoning. Which is exactly where this mod sits now.
I extensively play-tested this EE version a while back and completely enjoyed the play and was happy to aid the process while enjoying the play-through. Some issues were disruptive but I suspect many or most of those are addressed.
If a "I want to be a beta tester" goes through and simply reports overall impressions...that is a beta test. It is even better if they are able to identify and report some issues that need fixing.

Did you consider using neural networks for portraits and soundsets?

I'd say it's not a hack and slash but a dungeon crawler
If any dev is reading this and still gives out betas, this is my github: https://github.com/Rafeil/turkish-delight or just message me and I'll get you whatever info you need.
I'm very interested in playing and giving feedback/bug reports! Thank you for working on this!
Hi! Been following this project for a while, very keen on joining the beta if possible! Regards from the icebound lands of Scandinavia. Here is my github: https://github.com/xvartframtid
Good evening! This looks absolutely incredible. I've been peeking at it for a while. I would love to be apart of the Beta testing if your still in need of playtesters. My qualifications are as follows:
-Fan of the infinity engine since BG1
-IWD2 is my favorite Infinity engine game. Still remember blathering about how excited I was for this game in the car until my dad yelled at me to shut up.
Regardless am so excited to see the finished product! Good luck.
Hi!
I have one question about debug mode , will this enhanced version use the same way and the same codes in the console? Sometimes i like to simulate a "roll" like in bg games and i would like to "fix" some parameters for my characters...
Thank you, i really appreciate you work

All the console commands that were available in the original IWD2 should work in IWD2EE.
