Hi, I've just finished playing through IWD EE after playing through the Pillars of Eternity games and looking to delve into the Baldurs Gate games and this genre as a whole.
Hello, I recently played through BGEE/TotSC/SoD, BG2EE/ToB and today I finished IWDEE + Heart of Winter / Tales of the Luremaster. Since I enjoyed the ride so much, I picked up IWD2 on GOG and would gladly help as a playtester.
Scaling the UI is out of my area of expertise. It would be best to ask @Bubb about it. They were the one who implemented the ability the change the game's resolution on startup.
Hi!!!
I follow this project since day 1 xD
Im really happy you are doing this for the comunity, and i really apreciate it!
I want to know if there is a posible release date, just that.
Tnks a lot for everything
Thank you so much for letting us use the IWD2 NPC mod with IWD2EE. I know the game is designed to create your own party, but the con to it is that there is not much story that goes on with the NPCs like in the Baldur's and Planescape series. IWD NPCs made the game so much better with their backstory and close-knit friendship with the created main character. The best one is the character Nella being an apprentice of the archdruid Arundel, which obviously drives her motives after (no spoilers) events. Korin being a former mage trying to find his way, and the number 2 Holvir the paladin are good ones for romance. For the record I always play a woman main character, a might and guiled corsair; it makes the genders even plus makes for a great story of the paladin Holvir sacrificing his leadership spot for her. Teri and Severn made great comical relief as a backrow romance even as the events that happen test their spirits, but in the end, the love and friendship and togetherness of the whole party wins out.
Now the IWD2 NPC story isn't as spectacular as the first one, but Sir Nord makes for a great protagonist, a reluctant paladin with a little bit of an attitude problem, but accepts the responsibility of his part in saving the Ten Towns with his half-orc barbarian sidekick tank Hildury. Valeero is great as an offensive minded cleric, Prachi is a great monk (WARNING: DO NOT AGREE WITH THE DUERGERS TO ATTACK THE MONESTARY MONKS OR DRAW WEAPONS WITH THEM, OTHERWISE, SHE LEAVES YOU FOREVER!!!) Nikosh is the obvious rogue with the potential for an extra mage that uses scrolls, and the awesome aasimar sorcerer Jaemal fills the party. Pretty much every side quest is fulfilled with this group. Also Prachi and Nikosh have true neutral alignment that can fend off blasphemy.
Well, that's pretty much a flyby of the IWD2 NPC mod. Just adds some manner of story to the game, more interesting. Thanks for fixing it.

Been a huge lover of Bioware CRPGs since BG1 and would love to play IWD2 in EE. If there´s still place for me, I'd love to give it a test.

Great, thanks.
This is the error I talked about.
This is now fixed. I just released the newest update.
It works, thank you! Another question, is it possible to scale UI for big resolutions, the UI looks small for eg 1080p: https://www.mediafire.com/view/lg85mvcjvdtmr3x/n-iwd000-1080.jpg/file

Thank you. I don't think the author of IWD2 NPC will ever do another update, hasn't for years. Might as well take the reigns.
