I've never played Ghouls and Ghosts, but I have beaten the areas in I Wanna Be The Guy where that music plays.
Dying over and over in those areas did not make me hate the theme; it actually made me really like it. The music goes along so well with the level, especially with that nasty narrow corridor of spikes, where the spikes tend to go up and down in sync with the music.
A boss I remember very well, because he had two skeleton guards with a ridiculous amount of health that took ages to kill. And everytime he knocked you down he used one of the three magics available in the game against you.
The sequel which I never played, has much better music overall though.
Sonic Mania (various spoilers as to returning zones and throwback bosses)

I like that Sonic 1 and 2 didn't originally have remixes for various acts, so Mania did some good remixes for them. (although act 1 themes are pretty much just updated more than remixed) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jHYfUHNKomg
These zones and songs in general make me just think of Final Dreadnought from Freedom Planet. Honestly, those 4 stages make up probably my favorite platforming game finale. Give FD 2 and 4 another listen and you will probably get the same vibes.
Final boss certainly has some intimidation factor in there. Wasn't actually very difficult, though. Just have to play a bit safe. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v8mGwpwd1cI
(Probably the cringiest Sonic lyrics since Sonic Heroes or Reach for the Stars, but I don't exactly hate it. That is like the nature of Sonic vocals. But there are some, such as Endless Possibilties, that I legitimately love.)
Bonus: hyper potions songs from the trailers and videos.
I actually enjoy this game better than I remember, especially since I never finished it back in the day, nor have I looked at the Divinity franchise in recent times. But the atmosphere is beautiful IMO..
I have played this game (well, a 1/3rd of it) and I get this track stuck in my head on a weekly basis. Besides that, it absolutely adds to the atmosphere of a village and world in the thrall of this religious fanaticism based on recent events. Inquisitor has horrible combat, questionable gameplay choices, but an absolutely stellar atmosphere and story.
Playing IWD HoF with two high level bards in the party. Their combined music makes the party invulnerable to normal weapons, empowers their hits and regenerates their health rapidly.

Never played FFV and I suspect I wouldn't even like it nowadays, but this theme is badass^^

They've always shared an arabic sound, but with Mania, Oil Ocean sounds closer to Shantae music than ever.

Starting at 54 seconds in this one, you have the Sonic Forces main theme.

This tune does the same IRL.
