The first post of this topic has been updated with some new mods! Some where in the world its the 15th of November. So if you wish to play your game with mods we have a couple that are ready for BG2EE. Drizzt & Friends Rework TeamBG's BG2:EE Armor Pack TeamBG's BG2:EE Weapon Pack
I posted this early because I won't be home from work until later tonight, which would be the 15th here in the States.
Encounters mod is good to go. http://www.baldursgatemods.com/forums/index.php?board=22.0 This mod adds in new encounters, a quest and makes some fights harder like the druid encounter at the grove and Shagbag. There are new stores with new items as well.
Drizzt and Friends Tweak The original designers cheated Drizzt's stats and his friends as well like they did in Baldur's Gate. This tweak brings their stats back to their legit AD&D stats and removes some of their creature only items, which was overkill. I also renamed their personal items so that pesky Malchor Harpell won't stop by and take them from you. New updates for BG2EE. Alora NPC mod now works for the game. Everyone's favorite thief from Baldur's Gate makes her appearance known in Amn. Show her some love and get her today. http://www.baldursgatemods.com/forums/index.php?board=13.0 Vampire Tales is the next mod converted to BG2EE. This mod has a joinable NPC name Miriam who is a vampire thief. Her transformation into a vampire has made her insane. Her dialogs with you and fellow NPCs reflect this. If you know anything about the World of Darkness game setting, think Malkavian. She is a "real" vampire who is on par with the vampires in BG2. Go get her today and let the spiral into madness begin. http://www.baldursgatemods.com/forums/index.php?board=92.0
I just wanted to say, even though I'm personally not a fan of Saerileth, I do appreciate your efforts to update existing mods to be compatible with BG2:EE.
Modding updates from my end will be very slow. This week my main computer died on me, motherboard gave up the ghost. Seeing that this was 5+ year old technology, I had to rebuild a new computer. I am slowly getting things up and running on my new system. recovering files from my old hard drive will be slow going.
CoM_Solaufein don't feel discouraged, I'm sure there are many players waiting for the new Undying (just not all of them would like to share it publicly). Personally I'm more interested in new DSotSC, but you're awfully quiet about it as of late.
Did you abandon the project, or maybe it lays dormant for now, or maybe your are just about to finish it and plan to surprise us all?
But getting back to the Undying. New version (BG2EE compatible) may be the good reason for me to try it out eventually. I will plan to install SCS for the first time (lol) and naybe Undying add additional hardcore feelings to the game. I'm tempted to show myself how miserable BG player I am, but the Tactics mod seems a little to hardcore for me for example. How could you describe Undying's level of difficulty. Above SCS's? Below SCS's? Between SCS and Tactics? Above Tactics? I want a challenge, but I don't want banging on the wall indefinitely.
DS? Yeah, DS. On hold for the time. I don't even have that mod's new files on my computer, I have to get them off my old hard drive. Same goes with the newer files for Dark Horizons.
The current version of TU isn't hard or tactical. Its a quest mod with joinable NPCs. Version 3 on the other hand will be a quest mod that has some hard quests with new joinable NPCs. Encounter X and Encounter Y (My code names for these quests, I don't want to reveal their true quest names until the mod is released.) will not be for the faint of heart. As you can see by my screenshot of Encounter Y: http://www.baldursgatemods.com/forums/index.php?topic=5555.msg68712#msg68712 It was an average party but I didn't use my thief in a tactical sense like I should have. Search for traps, search ahead for enemies, etc.
The Undying will not be overkill like Dark Horizons. I don't have overkill items in game or impossible enemies to fight without resorting to "cheese" as people put it. On some of these quests, you will have to think tactically at the end game.
Its moving slower than what I want it, but that's how it is. I am putting the new files to the mod's installer so I don't have to redo the text. If I was to dump the new files, from my BG2 game, into my BG2EE game, I would get gibberish text. This is time consuming but in the end it'll save me time because I won't have to code these new files into the installer at a later time when the mod is done.
I am debating on when Encounter Y should take place. Should it be in the SoA part of the game or ToB? Because I am thinking about your character's level. I can't give away what my end bosses are. Lets just say they would be the equivalent of fighting two demi-liches and their undead henchmen.
On a personal level I don't like ToB and usually don't do much with it in regards to mods.

No TeamBG.org though. I am in the process of revamping that site.

Now for mod number 4.
Tsujatha Melalor Romance http://www.baldursgatemods.com/forums/index.php?board=17.0 is now BG2EE friendly.
I'll have to pick him up for sure =p
Thx for the updated mods @CoM_Solaufein this is greatly appreciated
Trying to keep track of everything between moving these files from BG2 to BG2EE is more time consuming than I originally thought.

This encounter was not done at the time back in 2013. I am now putting the finishing touches with the end bosses confrontation, then I'll be able to test it as a complete encounter and not piecemeal.
