Other than the obvious (Character stats), the save game stores every area you've been to, and also the overall world map, and a bunch of variables tracking your progress.

As a rough estimate, if you play SCS and then uninstall it, the main noticeable effect is that enemy creatures in areas you have already been to will misbehave (mostly by just standing around stupidly).

I want to report a bug (BG1EE): mages fire mmm at you even when you are under sanctuary spell. Plus one question: why component that makes mmm +2 weapon is skipped for BG1EE ??

I hadn't visited any areas with SCS, only Candlekeep. So hopefully no further confusion :)

Thanks for the reply.

Basically nothing in BG1 is sensitive to how magical a magic weapon is, so it's superfluous.

I managed to get past the first error, but now I get another error:

I should note that I haven't tried installing SCS version 26 on BG1:EE, but am trying to install it on BG2:EE.

You're using an outdated version of WEIDU (v 231).

If that's the one that shipped with OSX-SCS, I've shipped the wrong one - apologies.

@DavidW
Ok but what about sanctuary spell issue? is it intended? plus minor question: does that mean that your mod changes only empowerment of mmm to +2 and THAC0 stays at +5 in BG2?
• DavidWDavidW Member Posts: 823
No and yes.

Additionally, the game saves every creature that existed in the areas when you visited them and all the stores you've been to (including bags, cases, etc. that you have possessed).

I was using SCS v24 on BGEE 1.1, if I update to patch 1.2 and also SCS v27, and loaded my saved game, will it be broken at all?
• DavidWDavidW Member Posts: 823
Probably.

The component "Grant large, (...) creatures protection from Web and Entangle" fails on a creature file from the Amber mod I attached.

Error message :

Damn you DavidW you forced me to reinstall the game, reinstall all the mods I want and start all over!

But seriously thank you for the great mod. (even though I did all that just to add it in xD)

@DavidW: I know of only one WeiDU version for Mac, provided here: http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/comment/272623/#Comment_272623 .
As far as I know, no WeiDU came with SCS for Mac...

Great! Everything works now!

OK, so for all of you Mac users who wish to install SCS v 27, this is how it should be (with many thanks going to @DavidW and @Wisp):
1) Get the latest Mac WeiDU version here.

Put a copy of WeiDU in the Resources folder of your BG2:EE install (right or ctrl-click BaldursGateIIEnhancedEdition.app —> ‘show package contents’ —> folder ‘Contents’ —> folder ‘Resources’)

2) Get SCS v27 for Mac here.

3) Download Easy Mod Installer for Mac here.

Put this also in your ‘Resources’ folder.

4) Open Terminal (command+spacebar: Terminal) and type (and hit enter afterwards):
cd ‘/Applications/Baldur'\''s Gate II - Enhanced Edition/Game Data/00782/BaldursGateIIEnhancedEdition.app/Contents/Resources/‘
Now, type:
chmod +x ./setup-stratagems
5) Open Easy Mod Installer for Mac and select the preferred language and subsequently ‘Stratagems’ (keep Terminal open!).

6) Just follow the instructions in Terminal!

7) Everything should work just fine!
Okey I am seem to have stumbled across a bug or rather a crash that SCS is the culprint of. What happens is when I go into the High Hall of the Radiant Heart and I go to see Prelate Wessalan he always begins to cast Summon Deva ontop of my party and everytime he finishes the casting my game crashes.

Well okey not everytime I have interuppted him a few times by talking to him and one time after talking to him he started casting again and instantly finished the summon deva spell which worked fine but then he started casting it again and when the second one was spawning the game crashed but I could also see that he after having finished the second Summon Deva spell he started casting a third summon deva spell on my party.

I have the improved cleric AI installed but not sure if this is what is making the prelate casting summon deva so diligently on my party.

How bizarre! Clean install other than SCS?

No I actually have a few mods installed now I will list them in order of install. But I cant see any other mods affect the Prelate in anyways maybe I am wrong. Since SCS is the one who gives the Deva spell and I have'nt found in any of the other read me's that they affect the AI in anyways atleast I did'nt choose anything like that.

Tales of the Deep Gardens
Dungeon Crawl
Assassinations
Back to Brynnlaw
The Sellswords
CoM Encounters
Weimer's Item Upgrade
Banter Packs
IEP Extended Banters
Unfinished Business
Dungeon-be-Gone
Wheels of Prophecy
Gibberlings Three Anniversary Mod
BG2 Tweak Pack
Sword Coast Stratagems

I'll see if I can reproduce it on an SCS-only install. (You're using BG2EE?)

Yes I am using BG2EE I reinstalled the game and all the mods in the order again incase something was corrupted and with a new character going there from the start it all happend again.

Edit: Okey I have now done some research I uninstalled the mod and then installed everything again but this time did not include the High-Level Abilities for spellcasters install but installed everything else. Still same effect Prelate summons deva and game crashes, I uninstalled again this time included everything except for the previous one and this time did'nt include Smarter Priests aswell same thing again he summons deva and my game crashes. On my latest attempt I installed everything but nothing from the AI enhancements at all since even installing the first one seemed to still make him use summon deva on my party. Should'nt this ability be removed if uninstalled or on a clean reinstall of everything not be included at all?

I'll give a clean install with only SCS installed as well to see if it makes a difference.

Okey so I cleaned out the whole folder and reinstalled the game from scratch I did'nt install any mods except for SCS and again everytime I go to the Prelate he starts casting summon deva and this crashes the game.

Since he keeps casting summon deva even when I have'nt installed the part which grants the spells but by just installing the AI improvements is it implemented with this or does the mod install information somewhere else then my game installation folder?

No, it's probably coming out of the smarter general AI (he's a high level paladin, that's one of his HLAs). I'll have a look when I get a chance.

Didn't know Paladins ever get summoning deva as HLA.
Last time i checked the manual, they only seem to get warrior HLA. Didn't see any change about this in SCS too, and really this shouldn't be the case imho.
But maybe Wessallan is a priest rather than a paladin ?

They do (though I don't think it's documented in the vanilla BG2 manual, at least). Vanilla feature, nothing to do with SCS.

@tobajas: okay, I can reproduce and understand this.

As a quick hotfix, delete the files prelate.cre and hprelate.cre from your override folder. I'll upload something more systematic when I have a chance.

Don't know if it has been flagged already but I still get the D'Arnise hold bug on v25 (outside trying to open the gate CTD) Can get you the crash message if you need it when I have a chance.

Few very minor issues I've spotted just in case you are interested, presumably with calls for help. One that has been around a while is Ilyich. Upon entering the library in the starting dungeon, once the duergar group engage you Ilyich and a couple of his group come round (he usually hails from the corridor connecting the library to his usual room. He then runs back to his main room and does a bit of back and forthing while you fight. The mage and one of the crossbow users don't follow the rest and stay in their original room. That's happened for me v21 24 and 25 now.

Finally, in the sewers, if you engage a kobold in the centre the rest will also engage, but the Rakshasa doesn't move. Can only confirm v25
