Sarevok thinking, also to be found in many real companies:
The Iron Throne had to spend 20,000 gold pieces to insert assassins in Candlekeep. That doesn't leave much budget for being choosy *who* to send there...

Yeah, Carbos & Shank were probably nephews of some leader in the Iron Throne. Nepotism usually doesn't work, but hey, it's cheap!
The comic is funny, but I kind of disagree with the point of it. It seems to me that successful no-reloaders have figured out how to avoid being dependent on any dice roll for their survival. Alesia_BH once told me she considered it a personal failure if any of her characters *ever* needed to make a saving throw at any point.
@BelgarathMTH: Yup. It's entirely possible to carve a perfectly risk-free path through the Baldur's Gate saga and guarantee a successful no-reload run with any character besides a Wizard Slayer. It's just that that path is very, very narrow, and sometimes the fate of a run does depend on a single dice roll, if only due to human error. Few runs are executed flawlessly.
thats friggin' nuts, i didnt know kelemvor existed until NWN 2 SoZ, i've been playing that game for almost 20 years and still learning new things, damn

yeah the whole myrukal thing happens during the time of troubles. so he is around during 2nd ed. he just does not make an appearance in the games until motb.
I don't think the modern world would accept a movie that says unironically that war turns brats into real men, corporal punishment Is good, only soldiers should vote and nuclear weapons aren't bad.
For the record i love power armor but i can't stomach Heinlein's worldview.

Then I wouldn't hire you to make the movie. That's my main problem with the film. The creators clearly loathe the source material. That and they left out the power armor. It looked to me like they wanted to make a movie about space nazis, then shoehorned in some Heinlein references.

The entire book is a critic to this worldview. Showing what happens when it's taken to an extreme with the military inventing new wars to justify their existence .. That's the reason for the commercials, etc

These are screen edits, right? Or humorous mods of some kind perchance?
I feel the same way about the Starship Troopers movies.
I've got you covered, fam.

1) There are no Baldur's Gate Books concerning the Bhaalspawn
2) Starship Troopers is an amazing book. Someone should make a movie using this story. Maybe even two to tell the whole story.

It doesn't praise this worldview at all.
