@Silverstar And thank you for that. We all want to know just how annoying Neeber is, even if we don't want to admit it. Still, despite playing the game several times, I only killed Neeber twice. Once with my NE Kensai, and another time with my CN Dragon Disciple (of course, I was playing a from a RP persepctive, so I said Dorn found him extremely annoying and killed him)
Same actually. Though in my case it's sadly the outside knowledge that talking to him all those times will reward me with experience points. And I do love me some experience points. I have charmed him just afterwards though and then had him attack some summoned creatures. Fun times.
I've never killed Neeber. Or Noober, for that matter.
What world we would live in if we could just murder passers-by because they're annoying us.
By the time our character reaches Nashkel/Trademeet, killing people without giving it a second thought is pretty common. Regardless of justification, most people would indeed be burdened by the killings but our protagonist isn't. There's no reason Noober/Neeber is any more deserving of life than the rest of the corpses littering the path.
If this is the end of the line for the patch, then I'm a bit disappointed. Due to the tinkering with font sizes, this version is an aesthetic downgrade to the previous for me.
For people who were very content with the previous font size (including me), no exact similar size option has been maintained. They have to make do with something either a bit bigger or a bit smaller.
The font size that somewhat matches the previous version (3rd from left) is weird. There seem to be annoying size disparities between neighbouring words and numbers. For example: The words Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, etc... look too small next to their accompanying numbers. Previously, they were much closer in size.
The capitalization of the NPC speaker names on dialogue boxes that seem to have necessitated silly paragraph-like gaps on the first two lines is also a blight to my refined aestheticism.
I dare say this kind of font size tinkering is a feature that I would pay money NOT to have it included.
I must agree to this. Fonts are a mess now and the lack of font sizes from 1.2 is a pain for me. The gaps in the dialog window look hideous, but at least they don't appear if I set font size in baldur.ini to 128. But that's just too big.
I'm somewhat confident a mod can be made to restore the original fonts and formatting and/or the developers will continue to work on and refine the new/existing system
Do all of you people who are talking of killing Noober because he is annoying realize that there is a decent reward (in XP) for letting him blather until he just quits? One of the easiest XP awards in the game.

Wow, thanks! The change to 128 made it everything more tolerable overall, but the fact that dialogue text is bigger than NPC names is still bothersome. Oh well...
Neither of those games is also available on a tablet, which is probably a factor here. Personally I have no problem with the text size and from the sounds of things you can manually adjust it (which is probably the best approach given personal preferences, the number of non-english translations there are, and the number of different devices and monitor sizes involved here).
That all depends on the person/screen size. I would call these two links the smallest tolerable size for me. I for one like the new font sizes for BGEE, makes the game much more playable for me.

...and then he never bothers you again.
I usually DON'T kill him. But from a roleplaying perspective, my most recent characters simply would kill him because he's annoying. I myself care about the experience, I KNOW about the experience reward for NOT killing Noober, but I'm ROLEPLAYING my character, and letting Noober live is just not something that my character felt like doing that day.
@Khyron A LG Paladin would never kill Noober/Neeber. Any character of any good alignment won't kill an innocent.
Noober= Annoying, but Innocent.
From a roleplaying perspective, you would have broken your vows as a Paladin
No shit? Really? As I said, i kill'em even if i am playing a LG Pal.. simply to be rid of having a talkscreen pop up in my face again and again
Geez, you didn't need to be rude to me about it. I was just pointing that out, because it's more fun to play the game from the perspective of your character, than from the perspective of yourself.
Guys lets go back on the topic here killing or not killing Noober isn't really the topic as @Adul said just open a new thread for it in the right place. Back to topic that font is maybe isn't the best out there and it maybe need to be replace for a new one but I don't think it that bad.

You're right, I'm sorry. Perhaps I was a little snide in my reply. And I agree, playing from a chars perspective -is- my preferred way. Noober/Neeber is just one of those exceptions. ctrl+y.
But yes, back to topic.
I really do hope we can get an option for "Set fonts to the way they were, before we started messing around with them". It's so far been the best alternative.

Seeing as the patch is "just around the corner" and we're assured everything is rainbows, sparkles and sunshine all the time (I have no idea how you optimists do it) Noober can't be all that detrimental to 1.3's deployment.
I have the theory that the reason we don't get actual options in Options (and there's certainly been enough changes that would warrant a toggle) but rather have each and every change forced upon us is for ease of troubleshooting. If the options are always the same for everyone that makes it a lot easier for the devs to track down bugs and issues which is possibly made a lot harder by the multiple platforms. I hope this isn't the case though and that somewhere down the line we can get a patch that lets us toggle things, or slider things in the case of font size, to our liking.
If the Quick Loot bar is as buggy as what was previously stated, then hopefully there will be an option to toggle it on/off so we can turn it off and avoid it until the bugs related to it are (hopefully) sorted out.
What is the Quick Loot Bar, is it a new feature or is it the Inventory Squares on the ground where you pick up stuff?
Well for BG it's a "new feature" but it's been in BGII since launch. You click a small red gem near the bottom of the screen and a row of squares filled with loot on the ground near your currently selected character appears. Rather than having to go from ground pile to ground pile to inspect each single one you can just quickly loot what interests you. Hence it being called the "Quick Loot Bar" by the community.
So i got bored with waiting for the patches (my personal estimate for the BGIIEE patch release is late 2015) and fired up the old BGTrilogy with mods. Everything was going smooth as fuck until Bassilius, i start the fight with him and he has blade barrier insta cast, kills my main right away for like 40 damage burst. David W bro, when the hell did you give an early vanilla cleric mob a level 6 spell??? So ridiculous Back to square 1 i guess
Edit: Figured out after that u can just outrun him until the spell expires, but still the no reload challenge has to be restarted.
@DJ_Sweatz_2013 The quick loot bar is a good feature really comfy I like it, no more searching in the dark, in one click I can see all the loot laying on the ground and I can choose whatever I want, once they will also fix it bugs it will be prefect

If you don't wanna use it then don't it not like you need to turn it off you just not clicking it, it not a must feature to use.

The font size on this game is perfect.
