And a large portion of my childhood is dead with him. But enough of that sad subject, we should try to talk about Baldur's Gate stuff.
The passing of Robin Williams is profoundly sad, but at the risk of sounding insensitive, can we split that into another thread? This one is long and convoluted enough as it is. *ducks*
Another day another bug find. I have done a search (not many portrait menu issues) and this issue appears not to have been logged before. When the text size is placed at maximum, it somehow effects the pictures.
No issue at second from largest size.
Now I have put the slider to maximum. Note the pop up.
Although no real issues re-sizing, but then the DONE button would not highlight leaving me screwed and stuck with the normal piccies. (As all the other custom photos were also now mysteriously too large...)
@Anduin That one does look pretty serious, although there's an obvious work-around since it only occurs at the highest font size. It's going in the tracker now.
Couldn't you just hit Back, change the font size then start the process again? So you can effectively work around it! It isn't a show stopping bug and it isn't a frequent annoyance during gameplay so I don't expect it to delay v1.3.

Honestly, I am not interested in 1.3 changes but I just want to play with localized language. (iPad 1.2 not contain Japanese.) Even if language pack is $100 addin, I will purchase to it. (It's cheap than Android tablet I don't need.)
The fight music keep playing when I kill the hobgoblins in the FAI same bug as before all tho it not happen all the time. I reload the save few times it only happen once so far for me.
I loaded a saved game and I just noted that the fonts in the RECORD SCREEN (in the right window) are much bigger than the other fonts.
They are bigger of the other fonts in 1.2 too, but now, the difference in size between in dialogue window font and this font is now enormous (It's not so in 1.2)
When selling gems of which I process multiple examples, in the Nashkel store I am only given a price for the entire lot of the same type gem.
I cannot bring up the interface to select a smaller number to sell.
It seems that there are either several selected stores where this bug occurs, for all commodities the player is attempting to sell, or the problem occurs intermittently.
I have now seen it occur for items other than gems, and I have seen it when attempting to sell at Feldepost's and at the FAI, as well as at Nashkel.
To recap, when attempting to sell items, only the combined sale value of all items of like type is displayed on the character half of the transaction screen, and only the option to sell ALL items of like type is given, with no ability to bring up the interface to specify a smaller number that the character is willing to sell.
It CAN be worked around, by giving part of the total group of like items to another character before talking to the shopkeeper, but it is awkward.
There does not seem to be a problem getting the enumeration interface up when BUYING multiple items of like type in these shops.
the problem with new fonts feature is that now there is no good option for 1600x900 resolution on 15'' monitor - either the font is too damn small and the next step is far too large. The step between and prettiest fonts are available in 1.2 BG2:EE version tough, so it's probably easily fixable via font swapping. Not a big deal if this is the case. Release the kraken

Stop being so pessimistic about when the patch is coming out. Seriously, all this pessimism is starting to get really annoying.
If this is the end of the line for the patch, then I'm a bit disappointed. Due to the tinkering with font sizes, this version is an aesthetic downgrade to the previous for me.
For people who were very content with the previous font size (including me), no exact similar size option has been maintained. They have to make do with something either a bit bigger or a bit smaller.
The font size that somewhat matches the previous version (3rd from left) is weird. There seem to be annoying size disparities between neighbouring words and numbers. For example: The words Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, etc... look too small next to their accompanying numbers. Previously, they were much closer in size.
The capitalization of the NPC speaker names on dialogue boxes that seem to have necessitated silly paragraph-like gaps on the first two lines is also a blight to my refined aestheticism.
I dare say this kind of font size tinkering is a feature that I would pay money NOT to have it included.
I'm just pissed and almost want a refund but I love this game to much, I bought the game due to the new features such as crossplatform.... And the lie detector test said..... That was a lie. I'm just saying, you've really put a dent in our faith and really just get angry every time you speak dee and Liam.
Stop being so pessimistic about when the patch is coming out. Seriously, all this pessimism is starting to get really annoying.

It is NOT a road to nowhere. It takes time to fix problems, and with an engine like this sometimes when you fix a problem, it causes other problems and you need to fix them. I'm not a genius or anything when it comes to coding, but I'm pretty sure you people don't understand that these things take time, and more time then you may release. Nonetheless, it has been stated numerous times this month that the patch is almost finished, and they doing the last rounds of testing for it.
Sure, Naive Optimism is annoying, but border-line rude skepticism is MORE annoying.
@shawne, I'm going to ask you to stop belittling people who are optimistic about our progress, and stop antagonizing the developers for taking their time to make sure the patch is done right. By all means, start a thread in General Discussions and rant there all you like, but if all you're going to do here is be rude to the people that are trying to help, then that is unhelpful to anyone.
