@Dee Cool! Is everything in it now, even the quick loot-stuff etc.? If that's the case, I might as well begin. Nothing new will (most likely) be added, right?

Correct, what you'll see in this beta is what the patch will be, assuming there are no problems in our rigorous testing. I'm doing a normal run right now with no cheats with an emphasis on completing side quests, and I've just completed the Nashkel mines with no issues. Rasaad helped me defeat Nimbul when I returned to Nashkel, and I thanked him for his help before sending him on his way (my party was already full).
So far so good. We're eager to hear what people have to say.

Is there some kind of option to enable patching for the beta on the client? I don't have the quick loot bar.
OMG! OMG!! OMG!!! PST:EE and IWD:EE are coming for christmas! I love you so, mum and dad Beamdog!
I actually read back 3 pages to try and find where you got that from, then read the quote and.... dude... your insane blind optimism hurt me... deeply.
@elminster Sign out and sign into the client again, it should prompt you that there's an update. The loot bar showed up in a save game for me, no need to start new.
@laptopman666 Good, I don't want to get in trouble for telling the truth because you don't believe me. Anyhow, so does anybody think that they've added any other fixes to the patch? Or just the one's Dee talked about on Page One.

ah i see we are acting maturely, good job you sure showed me!
@Dee Tried the beta, and I'm still noticing a few problems. As I've mentioned in a post I've made a couple of months ago, the lowest and second-to-lowest settings on the font size slider seem to make no difference in the font size of texts displayed above characters when holding TAB. Basically, both options result in the smallest font size for those texts (and some other texts as well).
The other problem (or problems, rather) is that the quick loot feature still has the same issues it has been suffering from since the release of BG2:EE. First, items picked up with it don't stack in the inventory. Second, items picked up via quick loot and other items of the same item type picked up via conventional means do not stack inside containers. E.g. pick up a potion of healing via quick loot > put it into your potion bag > pick up another potion of healing from a container > put it in the potion bag > notice that the potions didn't stack together in the potion bag.
And of course, there is the quick loot multiplayer duplication bug where if a client picks up an item via quick loot the ground stack will not update at the host (and possibly at the other clients) so accidental duplication is guaranteed to happen unless the clients all agree not to use quick loot at all. I haven't tested if this bug is present in the current beta, but since the other bugs related to quick loot are not yet fixed, I'm assuming this isn't either.

how long does it usually take for a patch to get pushed out to the Steam version?
Don't take my word for it, but I'm pretty sure the patch is Beamdog Exclusive Also, it hasn't even come out for Beamdog yet, so don't expect to see for Steam anytime soon. Once the patch is out, a board called "THE PATCH IS LIVE" will be released, like last time.

In the past it's taken up to two weeks, but that won't be the case this time. The patch will be released on Steam at more or less the same time it's released on Beamdog and Google Play.
No it's not out yet. If it was they would release a board named THE PATCH IS LIVE! and it would say so on the top of the forums page. So no patch yet, have patience, don't you want a GOOD patch, and not an INCOMPLETE patch?
