Could be any of them, unless you're a kitted cleric. I think if we're talking about this from a role-play point of view, you'd be a lorekeeper of Oghma, since his temple is the only one in Candlekeep. As for paladins? I dunno. Oghma doesn't have a knightly order, so you could choose most any deity. And for Blackguards, I'm sure there are plenty of evil deities/demons you could say you're aligned with. You could even choose to not be allied with any of them, and simply say that your powers are derived from your heritage.
Almost any deity except for Cyric could be the object of worship for the Bhaalspawn, and people have come up with reasons to play a Cyric worshipping characters as well. Lathander, Helm, and Talos are good bets, obviously, as is Oghma and the other deities of Knowledge.
I've got another question to ask, from a roleplay perspective.
If I'm a cleric, which deity would be helping me, even if I'm a bhaalspawn? I would like to know which deity would be likely to help me, especially if I'm Evil.
Same thing for the paladin. If I'm a paladin, which god would be helping me? And what if I'm a blackguard?
I don't think it's explicitly stated that the guards of Candlekeep follow Helm, but the guards of Candlekeep are called "Watchers" and Helm is also known as "The Watcher". So, it's not a terrible leap to say that the Watchers of Candlekeep are followers of Helm. It also fits their sworn duty as guardians. So, perhaps CHARNAME became a priest or paladin of Helm while training with the Watchers.
This could be really good for an Inquisitor - Helm as "He of the Unsleeping Eyes" fits with the Inquistor's True Sight power.
What happens if you gain a stat increase that causes it to surpass 25? For instance, say I grab a tome of CON, but my con is already 25 base. (We'll assume I've import spammed my way to a 25) I know there won't be any greater bonuses, but will it register as 26? Will the game crash? Will nothing happen at all?
I'm just curious since I've import spammed a character to 25 in multiple stats, and am wondering what would happen when I gain an increase via quests in BG2.
The question is, if you have 25 in a stat, and gain temporary bonus (from an item, spell, potion..., when the numbers writed with red color), will remain the bonus after a stat decreasing? For example you have 25 int, and drink intelligence raising potion, then you lose intelligence from illithids. I tried this some years before, but now i don't remember for the results.
Stats exceeding a value of 25 will still be counted correctly by the game internally. So if you're quaffing enough Potions of Genius to have 30 INT, you'll still have 25 INT after a single mind flayer attack.
Firetooth is usable by thieves, yes? I think it is, but I want to make sure. Thieves don't have many good options when it comes to magical crossbows. (why my half-orc bounty hunter with 19 STR can't wield a heavy crossbow is beyond me...)

Yes its a light crossbow so its usable by thieves.

The same reason a wizard can only use a small sword if it's called a big dagger.
Is there a way to upload more than one picture at a time?
Just select another file to attach to the post.
say time I tried it on my Mac I could only select one photo at a time. It was incredibly frustrating. I don't expect a at for iPad, which I usually use, though.
Kinda spamming the thread, but what's up with the spear impaired +3(or 4? I think 3) it's supposed to do 1d6+13 damage, but on the inventory screen it shows 8-13damage.
So I tried looking at the damage rolls to see if this was just a visual bug, and I don't think I ever rolled more than 10 on anything excluding crits. But I did seem to roll for damage twice, *almost* all the time. Like this: What's that about? And sometimes the double roll adds up to more than 23, (I think I got a 26... I dunno. Maybe it was a crit) which I think should be max. (I have a strength spell active, so a regular spear says 5-10, and then 10+13= 23.
The second damage amount is the 10 extra damage the impaler does.
Ok, I figured it would be something like that. Why is it like that though? Other magic weapons just add it to the one roll. And why are the first three points applied to the roll, and then another 10 to get to 13?

Its just how the damage is organized on the weapon. The +10 is considered to be separate damage from the main damage.

As @elminster already pointed out, the 10 extra damage of the spear is done by an item effect (and thus not included in the calculation), which leaves 1d6+3 for the base damage of the spear. When adding bonuses for strength (around 18/01-50 judging by your current weight limit -> +3 dmg), weapon style (+1 dmg) and possible item effects (can't see anything on your character), then 8-13 dmg. look plausible.
Indeed I remember reading the gods do not have the stats of mortals (being gods, derp), but you can look up the stats they had before ascending or the stats of their avatars.

But it doesn't mention his class. But then you get http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godsbane
And I'm sure it's not to hard to find what class he was.
