Did they change whether certain spells are reported in the in-game dialogue window in BGII:EE? I'm fairly sure that in the vanilla version of the game, the usage of Stoneskin by enemy mages was reported here. However, in BGII:EE I've come across a few instances already early-game where they are clearly using the spell but it is not being reported.
Hello, i've just finished BG1 and i've a question about the second one... when i launch it, it gives me 2 choices (well 3 but i'm ignoring the black pits for now), what is the difference between chosing Shadows of Amn or Throne of Bhaal?

Shadows of Amn is the one you want to continue the adventure in order. Throne of Bhaal comes last.
I have another question, i just started dual classing my swashbuckler (lvl11) into fighter (lvl 8 for now). I've been looking but haven't found an answer so i'm suposing what i'm going to ask is impossible but... Is it it possible at one moment to stop leveling up the fighter side and going back to thief xp?
Ah that sucks... But i'm guessing dual classing later in the game is kind of pointless in the end since you probably wouldn't be able to really get to use it? Edit : No not really, whats annoys me is i did that just before well you know, so i'm stuck with that other idiot for now!
That's why it's highly recommended not to dualclass if you're not 100% familiar with the game.
If you've started dual classing your swashbuckler (lvl11) into fighter (lvl 8 for now) you have no choice but to continue levelling up your fighter till he reaches the 12th level.
For those who are not relatively close with BG, it's much easier and safer to use multiclass characters than dual-classed ones. Fighter/Thief multiclass is a very tough guy, hard to beat and one of the best combinations in the game.
If I dual-class from Level 3 Fighter to Mage. What actually happens when that Mage hits Level 4?? For example, will I be able to use bows, etc. Will I be able to wear armor except when casting?? What about THACO progression, saves, HP leveling bonuses [18Con]??
<>[~Mostly I am interested in getting some early HP for a less squishy Mage and also general knowledge of the game. TY]

Yes you will be able to wear armor except if you want to cast. Yes you will be able to use bows, etc. Your Thac0 progression will follow the mage table, but you will benefit from your fighter levels in regards to it (so it'll be 18 without any other bonuses). Likewise in terms of saving throws you'll get whatever is better (fighter level 3 saving throws vs your mages at level 4 or whatever). You'll get a warrior con bonus for your health for levels 1-3 but after that it would be a max of just +2/level.
I'm doing Neera's mini quest at the hidden refuge. It's time to collect cats in the wild forest for Barad Ding. I've located lots of cats, but every time I "feed" them, something goes wrong. I get the message in the dialogue box that says "The party has gained an item" but the cat is still walking around on the map. When I check my inventory, there is no cat in my inventory. I can't collect the fur balls. Any help?
But if there is a chance that they will leave it doesn't suppose to be like "I found one cat but it not going to my bag pack" one should see the cat in the inventory if he doesn't it is a bug, when you are going and looking for another cat and the ones in your bag leave that ok (well not exactly ok but that the randomly leaving thingy).
How is the shadowdancer? Seems fun with the "hide in plain sight" but I kind of like traps... Also are they worthless late game? So many enemies immune to backstab.

So, the idea of opening this thread has turned to be brilliant.
Edit: You can go back to a save, where you didn't start dualclass, but most likely you seeks not this solution.

Yes

Yes

You get the fighter progression for the fighter levels, but not for mage levels.
Any help?
Personally I find that quest to be tedious. I normally just console them in
C:CreateCreature("ohncat")
*not sure what the actual chance is. I made up 5%.
