Hi, same problem here, the save is after talking to saemon at the tavern. im at the docks with the horn, but no saemon is there to meet me, can you plz fix a save for me with him present, at android so i cant get the console up. tankful for all help!

I am stuck having the same problem. I killed that Chermy guy just when I came back from the dungeon (even before I had spoken to Saemon for the first time) and I thought that might have created a problem even before I read this thread.
I am playing the Android version of the game - I have the latest version, as per your screenshot on the first page of this thread.
Please help me out. I need my fix of BG2 tomorrow!
p.s. The save is just after I had obtained the horn ( at that time point, I had killed the pirates in the room, but not any other pirates on the way to the ship)

Ok I don't want to read all these comments, but I'm having the same issue. I reloaded and let seaman leave the tavern before me, but now he is no where to be found. My email is james.giles@live.com I have followed guides and walkthrough to see if I can find him. Please help. Also I lost all my gear on Jaheira when she duled Faldorn. Super frustrating
Can you zip and attach a save please @jgiles38 or if you know how to use the console type C:SetGlobal("HelpGinia","GLOBAL",1)
& Jaheria should have dropped her gear where she was, so somewhere in the druid enclave. Some of it may still be there but other items will likely have disappeared over time. If you attach a save I'll have a look.
You can use an app such as ES File Explorer to navigate to the location. It then has options to zip folders. I can add more detail in a bit if it helps but the file location is;
Android > data > com.beamdog.baldursgateiienhancededition > files > save > (copy the entire 00000nnnnn-savename
Alternately you can grab the files from that location onto a pc either via cable or wireless and zip there.
Hey, I'm having the same issue - the save I'm enclosing is actually just before I speak to Saemon Havarian. However, I've tried leaving before him and after him and also sleeping before or after talking to him, even going back to Spellhold then all the way back to the tavern again before talking to him both before AND after talking to him. The result is still the same - after I get the horn he is never at the docks. I'm playing BG2:EE on Steam on Windows 8. Help, please?
Sounds like whatever compression software you have doesn't handle zip files, while the one I use (7zip) will unpack rar files but I can see no option to create them.
You could try renaming the file from zip to rar (a bit of quick reading suggests that may work), or use another utility instead of the one you are currently using.
So as you can all imagine I have been having the exact same issues as everyone else; multiple saves and attempts at different paths all end up with the non-appearance of Saemon at the docks and endless frustration. And lo and behold I find these forums and a potential workaround with iFunbox (I'm playing on an iPad).
However, my ipad is on iOS8.3 and my first attempt at using iFunbox on an 2009 Macbook Pro said the iFunbox software didn't work with the ipad. So I tried iFunbox on my 2013 Macbook retina and it simply said something along the lines of not being allowed to access the sandbox through apps like iFunbox (subsequent google searches have revealed that the latest iOS blocks a lot of these apps?). So I went back to my 2009 Macbook pro and downloaded an earlier version of iFunbox, I can now double click the BGII:EE icon in the sandbox but nothing happens at all...I'm stumped and at my wits end with this.
So, does anyone have any workarounds or suggestions here? I'm so frustrated at this bug which I never even experienced over 10 years ago when I first played BGII. Any advice/help would be much appreciated.
From what I can see, the EE version and the original had the same bug - beating Saemon out of the inn (or reloading a save before he exited) would prevent him from appearing later.
A fix was made for the EE version, but fell foul of a second original bug - the check for Chremy being dead always runs and prevents any further script activity if he is dead. This wasn't an issue originally because nothing ran after it, but the EE fix now resides there and fails to run as a result.
Net result: Saemon previously had a chance of not appearing at the docks, and still has a chance of not appearing at the docks, but for a different reason.
The options are; - Try iFunbox Classic, that might work. - Go back to an earlier save. Talk to Ginia about Chremy before killing him, or leave Chemy alive. - Use the Spellhold portal and miss out the city of caverns. - Wait for this to be addressed in a BGII:EE patch.

describes where to create the override folder - just unzip the file, put it in the folder, then reload the game.
