Serves you right for going through things that do not belong to you. I told you, we are here for the pools and that is it.
"For once, be silent, fool!" Jaheira did not care for Anomen when he was, in fact, silent - an emotion that gained hostility as he spoke more and more. As for the bear skin, she would like a reckoning with the culprit, and could only hope that would come soon.
"It might be best to leave the drawer alone, or to drag it open with something other than your hand. The spear you found in the previous room, perhaps?"
OOC: Hmm, a paladin giving advice on thievery. That's some good role playing right there!

Quiet wpman, no one asks for your opinion, so do not give it. I tired of your hostile attitude towards every member of this group.
Remember, you do not have your husband here to protect you and your vile tongue any longer.
Neera walks between the two arguing and says, "Woah, woah! We're all friends here, I think. Let's all just settle down and continue to not kill each other. Alright?"
"Whoever put a trap on an empty drawer must be mean, mean, mean!"
Alora is in a huff. She stomps off to the door to the southeast and doesn't bother to look for traps or listen or anything sensible, she just goes ahead an opens it.
Jaheira essentially ignores Anomen's words, as they came from him. Ajantis was a little more, well, balanced, so she didn't dismiss his thoughts, out of hand. Besides, they had a task to fulfill, so she set her mind to that (for the time being).
Okay, southeast it is! You hear nothing, and enter a room shaped like a 20' by 20' square, with an extra 10' by 10' section to the south and west. It looks to have once been a closet. The far corner has a stack of bolts of cloth atop which is a greenish creature like a cross between a caterpillar and an octopus. The Octopus is the head and the rest is the body.
OOC: @Vallmyr - LadyRhian rolls all the dice. You just need to tell her what action you are taking. So you never know, your Magic Missile may yet hit (or we may still get a cow on our heads).
Ajantis steps forward to put himself between Neera and the creature, careful not to break her line of sight to the beast. He readies himself for battle.
"Helm, give us strength!"
OOC: Neat creature! Wait, that's a carrion crawler isn't it? Dang, why can't paladins be immune to paralyzation?
Aerie took out her sling and filled it with a stone. The creature was long, and as such, it should be easier to hit from a distance without hurting Ajantis or Anomen. She hoped, at least.
Is that how you get it that colour, with that particular spell? I like it to tell you the truth. When we are done with the business here *lunges spear* maybe you can accompany me back to Athkatla and style my sister Moira's hair the same way.
OOC: Having a death wish is a requirement for becoming a paladin. - Here lies Sir Ajantis, a brave warrior taken before his time while bravely battling a... giant pink bug... Stop that. The dead can hear you laughing. -
"Fall, creature," Jaheira cried out, moving in an attempt to flank the beast. "And feed the earth!" It was time for battle, and she liked to think herself more than handy in such a situation. She missed Khalid's sword arm, here, but would have to carry on in his stead.

Regardless, I am sorry for your pain, Alora."

"While the drawer might be empty, we at least discovered the power of teamwork! Anyone? No? Ok."
Alora is in a huff. She stomps off to the door to the southeast and doesn't bother to look for traps or listen or anything sensible, she just goes ahead an opens it.
The paladin follows Alora, prepared for combat if the door reveals any creatures with sharp pointy swords or teeth or both.
Alora runs away.
Neera prepares to cast magic missile on the creature. The spell fizzles and Neera stands there waving her hands erratically. "Come on, not again!"
OOC: I rolled a 04 on my 2d10s.
Oh no. Time to look up the wild surge list >_> Got an 82. Let's see. . . "Random treasure added to inventory of the target."
"Helm, give us strength!"

*Readies spear for attack*
"I mean, at least it's more visible. . . and kind of cute."

Minsc joins battle trying not to stand in the way of archers and spellcaster.
