"Well Oops, you're going to hate me for this, but I can't let them die."
Neera will try and beat them back with her staff. Do quarterstaves have any sort of range at all? If so she'll stay as far a way as she can and beat them with her staff.
Minsc misses, Neera lashes out wildly but doesn't hit anything, and Jaheira explodes another skeleton while Anomen brings down the last. You come to one conclusion from all this- Swords are not very effective against skeletons. Bashing weapons do far, far better.
You are able to bandage the wounded. Jaheira heals Aerie completely. Alora finds that the scabbard is plate, but the gems within are onyx, and worth 50 gp each.
"Thank you Helm for helping me hit the skellington and also for these gems, which are very shiny," prays Alora earnestly.
"I've decided I'm going to be a paladin from now on," Alora announces to the party before starting to search the room for traps, secret doors and hidden treasure.
OOC: You know, I'd love to see dialogue between Alora and Mazzy. Whenever I stop being lazy and I have time off from college/work I need to work on that BG2 Alora mod. . .
Coming out of her dreamless sleep, Aerie's blinking eyes took in Jaheira first, the scattered bones second, and the crumpled Ajantis beside her last. And she remembered.
"Ajantis!" she exclaimed. "Oh, I'm so sorry! Quickly, I-I'll heal you!!"
She wasn't entirely sure what she was sorry for, but the words felt right. The blue light enveloped her hands again as she reached out to the fallen paladin.
Ajantis gets back 7 hit points. Alora finds a secret door to the north and the furthest east. It's locked, but she's able to open it. Given how beaten up the rest of the party is, she thinks it's probably a good idea to wait until the others are at least healed before she heads in. If there is something scary and deadly to Aloras, halflings or paladin-"scouts", she could probably use some backup to deal with it.
From the void Ajantis sees a blue light beckoning to him, calling him back to the world of the living... Light, sound, pain... all coalesced in a moment as his soul settled once again within its mortal coil.
He blinked away the glare, his blurred vision focusing on the face of an angel. Surely it must be one of Helm's own heralds. "By Helm, such beauty," he managed, although barely above a whisper.
A few moments later, dearly hoping avariel didn't have the hearing of their other elven cousins, the paladin sat up with a groan and surveyed the situation. "Thank you all for saving me. I am most grateful."

"That's okay. No thanks are necessary. It's all in a day's work for us paladins."
"And you," Jaheira rebuked Anomen, "know nothing of the sacrifices that we must make, listening you your blathering and prattle." She did not like Anomen, and detested his bullying ways.
Arkanis agrees unconsciously (literally), since he's knocked out at this point…
Since there is nowhere that is really defensible here from wandering monsters, you can set up by the thrones/chairs at the end of the room, or retreat back to the table/chair room if you want to be safe.
"I think we should stay here while we rest. I'll guard the door in case anything comes."
Alora will spread her iron spikes around the floor of the corridor outside the door in the hope that they will act as improvised caltrops and slow down anything that might wander this way. She will then pile all the skeleton rib cages up in the door so that anything that does come will have to push them aside before it can get into the room.
*Thinks of lifting the dwarf over his shoulder, but he doesnt want to get any of the multicolored spores on his previously shined up armour, so he lets Minsc or Ajantis do it (plus I am at 2 HP, one fumble and you'll be carrying is both)*
This area isn't defensible enough girl, even with your noble attempt to guard the door while the rest of us rest. *checks his wound* We should go back to the room with the tables and chairs or the library and set up a camp there, however someone needs to carry our poor stout friend.
OOC: Will memorize and cast CLW on the party member that needs it the most upon resting. Will pray for Doom if we double rest.
Alora will pick up her iron spikes and follow Anomen down to the room with tables and chairs. Once the party is inside she will spike the door shut if it is possible. If not she will use her iron spikes as caltrops again. Then, fortified by hard candy and the belief that she really is a paladin, she will take first watch.
If Ajantis still has his Lay On Hands ability he'll heal Arkanis (I can't remember if I used it since our last rest), hopefully enough for him to wake up and move about on his own.
Much as she hated to admit it, the want-to-be Paladin had a point. "The other room is more defensible," she agreed, which proved that even a blind ogre could find a gem in a forest, given enough time. "We do not want to be surrounded by enemies, whereby we must defend ourselves."
You spend a quiet time in the room, healing and restoring yourselves. When you are ready to go on, you return to the "throne room". From here, you can go north, west, south or through the secret door Alora found to the north and east.
"Secret door! We have to go through the secret door!" Alora is convinced secret doors mean treasure. And as everyone knows, paladins are all about the treasure.
OOC: I think it's a special divided Charisma score. Some people react to Alora as if she has a Charisma of 25, while others react to her as if she has a Charisma of -321.47, which obviously results in an average score of 10... somehow.
OOC: 10 is considered average. She isn't very persuasive, nor will she be able to give commands in a leadership position without some push back. Attitude and cuteness really have little bearing on a charisma score. Xan will probably be able to convince you that were all doomed more than Alora who thinks life is all sunshine and kitten whiskers (16 to 10).
OOC because Charisma doesn't equal likeability. I've known very likeable people, who are terrible leaders. It's a composite of attractiveness, drive, likeability, leadership...

*ahem*
Right. Not a Necromancer this time around. I'm a Wild Mage.
"That was too scary for my liking!"

"I think we should rest for a little bit. I'm not sure if many of us can continue with our current injuries."
Neera absent-mindlessly pets and strokes Oops's fur in repayment for causing the poor thing to be scared any when Neera tried to melee.

If not, he will help move the fallen hero.

Super cute but not the song of someone you would want to lead you into battle.
