Malchior, Neutral Good Human Mage(2)/Fighter. Pseudodragon Familiar, Two-Handed Sword, Full Plate Armor. And lots of hidden Wands as well as the occational Scroll or two.
I'm just starting a new BG run and I didn't care much for the Imoen portrait I used last time (something I had made that wasn't very good), so I made a new one and thought of sharing it here. I'm not skilled at making the photographs look good and enven less to paint them over to look like the game's portraits, but hopefully someone will like it (if anyone wants to improve on it, feel free). The Black Isle logo part was a pain to make, but in the end I was really happy with it.
EDIT:
Updated version. Changed the background and modified the armor.
@bob_veng Very nice! You could also try to unsharpen the lower half of the portrait quite drastically - that way it will go better with the now much softer face and hair. If you look at the original BG2 portraits, you'll see that the sharpness is actually quite off. I systematically add "unsharp" to my finals to make them blend in better.
yeah, i think this is better
I can't paint at all, but have changed Imoen into a skald and felt she wasn't there yet without a visual change, so using that as a basis came up with something which kind of looks okay once shrunk down where you can't see the details... https://imgur.com/a/7IDPd7O
hey guys can anyone "baldurize" Senait Gidey? ill be you best buddy haha
I'm not too good at this but I decided to give it a try, since no one else did. I hope you like them.
EDIT:
I added more contrast to the face in both portraits, so it looked a little bit more like part of the art (still not quite there, but I hope it looks better.) I also flipped the armor horizontally on the second portrait, so it matches better with the face's light source. Here's the edited images:
Glad to see Neera getting deserved love. I probably won't use it, but if someone would like to make a new portrait, in line with BG2 *and* close to her original, this looks like a great place to start:
All you need is paint her pink and stretch her eyes a bit

The artist's account has this in her Rules of Art Usage:
3 You may not alter, edit or copy my works ( cropping or down-sizing my works for avatars is fine )
So, it would be better to ask her for permission before modifying her art. I agree, however, that it would make a great Neera portrait.
If you know what Dungeon Meshi is, you might be interested to know that the author actually did all the NPC portraits for BGEE and BG2EE. Probably a commission.

I wanted to give her a longer and unkempt hairstyle but I cannot do hair at all.
Thanks @Raduziel! I'm currently rockin' BG1 as a Mage(2)/Fighter(7). Rolled an amazing 95! :-D

All: just a reminder to properly credit an artist and ask them for permission before distributing/editing their art.

Baldurs Gate Gnome bard and ferret by NicoleCadet
Just stumbled across this nice looking gnome lady. Apparently a commission for a NPC mod.
Anyone know which one?
It seems it's a new NPC that's currently in the work!

Too human looking for my personal taste, but nevertheless still a nice work.
