I couldn't help myself. Really, I couldn't.
The bus rental is to be driven off a cliff.
I will let you determine if this is sarcastic or not.
I actually proposed we have a countdown to the countdown. The proposal was not well-received.
The announcement event and the trailer release can (and sensibly should) coincide, and that's pretty much bound to be what this new countdown is about.
Actual game release will be later, probably some while later, after @TrentOster has built up some marketing momentum for it. It's a good bet that game release remains scheduled for this year, but probably late this year ... with a first public showing in July, final delivery will probably be targetted at the Christmas market, perhaps an end-November release.
It is...
The Final Coundoooooown
doo too too dooo
doo tootootoo tooo
I don't think Beamdog like final completion dates...
...
Or maybe they are facing their deepest fears and entering a nightmare of pressure against time.
...
Or they finished it January. And just finishing off the route the party bus is going to take.
Love the speculation here though
If we just take a closer look at that blured out logo in the center by tilding our heads and squint the eyes really hard, we can easily determine for what this countdown is all about.
Conclusion: it's an Folk Metal open air festival~
... which is being held at DRAGONSPEAR CASTLE!
In HTML, an "alt" atribute specifies an alternate text for an image.
So, the countdown is 100% for the Adventure Y.
As for the trailer/announcement VS the game countdown, I think that because we were told there're trailers for the game, we should see one of them here. The game should get advertised, talked about, become popular etc, etc. Nearly all the gaming magazines and sites should start write about it. And only after that there should go an actual game release.
Moreover, Beamdog has a tradition of releasing games in September - October - November, so I guess this tradition will continue.
P.S. the code of the page also shows
< !-- Preorder -->
< !-- /Preorder -->
So, this basically implies a pre-order for the Adventure Y is going to be revealed.
