"Hmm...An odd note just fell out of one of the books I found in the library. It's mostly illegible but I can make out two of the words: 'beyond skeletons'. A warning of more horrors that we must face?"
"Ha! Illegible, Boo. It means that Evil is afoot. Beware, Evil. I am armored and packing a rodent!" That was, until the inevitable battle cry, the only warning that would be given. After that, boot and sword would be swift in the coming.
@LadyRhian OMG. I'm like 'how does that picture make you not British?'. You were answering lots of things, one after another, and outran my addled brain. I need bigger coffee. Right, Boo?
It's okay. All right, so down through the gap and back up the stairs to the eastern side of the house... There are three doors on this side of the house. The hallway runs about 35' and the doors are at about 8', 18' and 28', each on the southern side. Kivan says he sees a trail on the floor leading to... the middle room.
"These footprints are soiled with steenking evil! Cover your nose, Boo, and leave no crevasse untouched!" This solid guidance would save them from whatever lay behind the doors. Until it became time for no more words. At that time, there would be swords and heroes and hamsters.
Tamoko whips Boo's backside, sending the poor hamster scurrying for cover within Minsc's armour. "Whoops, was that Boo? I swear I mistook it for a rat."
Alora is here (a little drunk and sleepy she has been drinking wine and it is way past her bed time). Is anyone else here or is she all alone in the scary house?
OOC: time for todays unexciting adventure of Eldoth, who I obviously hold in such low distain.
Ack... *cough cough wheeze*
*swims ashore, in a now ruined velvet suit, with no weapons, no lute... just a few common gems sewn on the suit and a handful of coins*
Where am I... A light, I see a light. Land, finally, land. I will live. Never again will I seduce three women at a time, not even the captains protection was enough when the first one woke. I don't see how she figured out how I was using her, or how she convinced the other wretches.
*Pulls himself onto land and walks into an Inn*
OOC: Never found out of Saltmarsh was inland or coastal, if it's inland, when Eldoth recovers he'll journey by carriage, otherwise he will sell all he has and stay in the Inn, paying his way with only song, till everyone gets tired and sends him off to die at the Manor. Sorry for the writing fail, doing tell instead of show. I just felt like abusing him in public. He really comes off to me as a failed wannabe casanova, and his disdain of women would make it even worse (always underestimating their intelligence.)
Minsc squared up to the door, took his sword in both hands and gave a sharp kick. This would catch the evil completely by surprise, since they couldn't know about the party with the door closed, thereby giving the advantage to the hero. As the door swung open, he cried, "Make way, evil!"
He isn't finding much to interest him here. Most of the people are interested in fish, fishing, and selling their fish. Unless he was another fisherman, or totally obsessed with fish, he isn't finding much to interest him.
Well, now, take down your fishin' pole and meet me at the fishin' hole. We may not get a bite all day, but don't you rush away. What a great place to rest your bones and mighty fine for skippin' stones. You'll feel fresh as a lemonade, a-settin' in the shade. Whether it's hot, whether it's cool, oh what a spot for whistlin' like a fool.
I just wanted to pop in to say that this thread and its predecessor remind me, each time I notice another 400 messages, just how awesome you people are.

Edwin heads to the gap.
And I'm not British. I just love that saying. Here's a picture of me: http://ladyrhianwriter.deviantart.com/gallery/28775366#/d39yuaf

OOC: Yes, you all know this song.
