1. Matron Mother Ardulace wants the blood of another race--beholder, kuo-toa, or mind flayer--but she won't accept non-noble blood. Phaere's attempt to satisfy the request with a beholder instead of an Elder Orb, for instance, fails.
2. Ardulace wears the Gorgon Plate, which has a -1 base AC and an additional -6 AC vs. slashing. That's tied with the Drow Adamantine Full Plate +5 in terms of AC vs. slashing, but the Gorgon Plate won't vanish upon leaving the Underdark. Only the Big Metal Unit can achieve lower AC vs. slashing than the Gorgon Plate under normal circumstances, but that doesn't hold for certain character builds, since damage type-specific AC modifiers can bypass the cap, and the BMU only has a -3 modifier vs. slashing instead of -6. Thus, the Gorgon Plate is the best form of armor against slashing weapons.
3. The first door she opens is a portal to summon the Lesser Demon Lord. The second is the exit from Ust Natha, which opens when she dies. The third is the Underdark exit, which opens upon completing the Ust Natha questline.
4. If you speak to her with the noble blood already in your inventory, she will be surprised, saying that she rigged her magic to detect the blood, but did not think to sense it on you.
5. She shares the title "mother" with lots of creatures in Faerun, but she's cruelest to a fellow mother, Adalon, in that she steals Adalons eggs and intends to sacrifice them.
6. Her underling Phaere betrays her, but you can betray Phaere, and you can also betray Ardulace's enemy, Adalon.
1. I have a long face, but it gets even longer.
2. Your silver won't hurt me, though it may have hurt some of my kin.
3. I get mad when you're rude, but it's impossible to be polite to me.
1. His portrait has a pretty long face, and in dragon form, he has an even longer snout.
2. The Silver Sword's vorpal strike can't kill Abazigal due to ToB changes, even though it could affect dragons in Shadows of Amn.
3. He gets mad when you insult him at the end of your dialog with him, but there are no dialog options where you can avoid insulting him.
4. Abazigal is the fourth major boss in Throne of Bhaal. First, you fight Illasera, then Gromnir, then Yaga-Shura, then Abazigal.
5. Alternatively, you can fight Sendai first and then Abazigal, in which case Abazigal would be the 5th major boss of ToB.
Abazigal is indeed the 3rd or 4th member of the Five depending on the order, but he's the 4th or 5th major boss because Gromnir is a major boss if not a member of the Five.
@semiticgod
Calling Illasera a boss is an insult to bosses everywhere but I suppose by that logic you are right. I'm sorry if it seemed I was being rude.
1. He attacks you on the pretence of justice, when he is merely following blind accusations.
2. All his soldiers (and himself) are equipped with some really valuable gear (all the archers have Composite longbows +3!)
3. He shares the name Tombelthen with the ranger from the ranger stronghold quest who hid his mithral.
I had a bit of a falling out with my old friends - one of them really wants to kill me.
Still, I've been making lots of new friends.
I'm not picky; they don't have to be willing, or alive.

4. I'm number 4.
5. Actually, I might be number 5.
I mean you could be right I guess we'll have to wait for @semiticgod and his verdict.
However I must point out that in this particular case Balthazar is number 5 and Abazigal could be number 3 or 4
Abazigal does have a very long face :---)
But I'm not sure.

You won't fine me during the day.
I'm lucky, and that's the way it's gonna stay.
I don't get what everybody wants from that nice red wizard of Thay.
Okay, here we go:
I was out in the woods picking fruit
When a gibberling followed my route
But then Bunky's dad
Hit him so bad
He went flying arse over snoot
It certainly is. Your turn.
2. I must have a rather high budget
3. I am kin with one who hides his treasure
Jamis Tombelthen.
