OOC: Welcome back. Things have been hectic at work recently. Though I guess my spell failed with a wolf gnawing at my side? I had said I wanted to try to cast Flaming Blade to scare off the wolf.
Cernd mutters softly, and proceeds to try to cut at the wolf who has decided that he was going to be it's next prey.
@Evinfuilt I'm no saint. I get plenty angry at him when he leaves me with YET ANOTHER MESS I have to clean up... Which seems to be several times a day these days, but I try not to take it out on him... It's not like he can always control it. I just wish he'd stay in bed at night, as losing sleep every time I hear him get up or he wakes me up to help him with his diaper is killing me. I get even more snappish and short tempered when I am short of sleep, and that seems damn near constant these days.
Aerie is out of magic missles, so she'll cast Chromatic Orb at her wolf.
OOC: Welcome back, LadyRhian. Hope you're feeling much better.
Skie hates sharing, but she will reluctantly lend her wand of magic missiles with 98 charges to Aerie for the remainder of this battle. But Aerie better give it right back afterward, or Skie will start pouting.
It's okay. I have a wand of paralyze and other single target attack spells I can use, but I appreciate the offer. Chromatic Orb will do up to (I think) 14 points of damage and has a chance to paralyze the wolf.
OOC: welcome back, omnipresent authority figure. And seriously, as evinfuilt said, sincere well done to you on your dedication to work, family and us! i know that looking after an ailing family member is never pleasant and very often highly frustrating, but from the sounds of it you're doing a far better job than i did with my father, you have my admiration, but just remember you need looking after as well!
IC: ouch! "fountain of blood" was NOT my desired spell!
*relieved as the wolf finally lets go in its death throes, seeing the blood pumping from her vein in her arm. Swapping her hammer for the staff of curing, she will try to get to Valygar to heal him with a charge from it. Seeing everyone else is not too badly hurt yet, if she is still hasted and gets more than one action, she will also use it on herself to try and stop the bloodflow before she gets back into the battle with her hammer.
@bbear You *can*, however, use an item *then* cast a spell. You have already lost initiative. so it's not likely to matter much. But if you *had* won, the item use would come *after* your opponents had gone.
DM sez: Sad thing is... this is just a random encounter, guys. Are you scared yet? Given how these wolves are (ahem) tearing you up...
Keldorn takes another five from a wolf ripping at his hand. Skie is body-slammed by a wolf for 7, but somehow manages to stay in her saddle. Cernd takes another 5. Valygar takes another 7. While poor Ajantis gets his face bitten for 10.
Keldorn lets out a gutteral sound of triumph and he finally takes down a wolf. Skie, her teeth still rattling from the impact, is forced to drop her bow and draw her flame sword, losing a round. Cernd whiffs. Ajantis staggers around, his sight obscured from the wolf's jaws clamped on his head. His sword swings wildly and hits nothing. Kivan hits one of Cernd's attacking wolves, but only does minor damage. Edwin magic missiles Aerie's Wolf, which finally dies. Alora slings stones, nearly hitting Valygar, but nothing else. Valygar hits one wolf with his katana. Minimal damage results. Aerie chromatic orbs a wolf and hits for 2 damage and it saves. Mr Stampy turns and savages the wolf, hitting with all three attacks and taking it down, turning it into a wet, red-soaked carpet. Irina tries to hit the wolf hanging from Ajantis's face, but is forced to duck his wild swinging and misses. Branwen casts Cure Light Wounds on herself, getting back 5 and slowing the flood of blood to a mere trickle. She taps Valygar with her staff and he regains 12.
NO Ajantis, that is not what I mean by using your head in battle. *aims for the wolf attacking Ajantis, there is no fear in my eyes. if I accidentally decapitate Ajantis, so be it.* Torm will guide my blade, justice be done.
If there's nothing threatening to chew on her right this second, Aerie acid arrows the wolf attached to Ajantis's face. If there is something nearby that things a formerly winged elf looks munchable, she'll acid arrow that one instead.
I'm glad this is a random encounter, I'm not wasting of my special abilities. Such as uhm, or uhm.. Oh dear FSM! I'm sure I'll get to use dispel magic eventually. Or maybe some Vampire will try and hide, then I can use my even greater powers of "oh no you didn't!"

So Keldorn has been touched by his noodly appendage? Keldorn is a Paladin of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, the greatest deity in all the realms.

Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, how does the figurine work? Is it summonable once per day type thing?

Keldorn will continue attacking his current wolf target (and is very disappointed in his ability to barely do anything so far.)
IC: Edwin will continue using magic missle against the wolves

OCC: I believe you cant use more than one item/spell in a round.

Party finally wins initiative next round. Yay!
Actions?
(How many are left?)
Cernd mutters something about a cornered animal, and strikes out with the scimitar, again.
