@Shandyr One forum administrator is enough and @Dee was not the only one. There is no technical need about @JuliusBorisov becoming an administrator, even if the administrators can chose to replace Dee with some other else and chose him.
And yes @Dee is "only" a member now, free to come here if he want and when he want, free to speak without weighting each world as he now represents only himself and not the board or company positions.
@Dee bless you be on your new way, for each closed door there is a new one that open, so I wish you will find the right door for you that will make you happy, satisfaction and fulfillment in your new adventuring road.
@JuliusBorisov Congrats on your promotion but then I don't see you bluish ????
Thank you, everyone, for your kind words. It's wonderful to feel supported.
I can't speak to why other people have left Beamdog, or what it means for Beamdog's future. On a personal level it's not my place to put words to their departures, other than to say that it was sad to see them go, and now it's sad for me to leave as well.
I plan on continuing to lurk the forums, but my activity will be less significant than it's been. Life goes on, as they say.
For the moment at least, Julius is just taking over the management of the community and advising the moderating team where needed. I can't comment on whether or not he'll get the fancy spinning wheels or the blue trim, but I had been grooming him to take over much of that responsibility for a while anyway.
As for the UI discussion threads--keep talking ideas and drawing up designs! I don't know that the Beamdog team is ready to look at them yet, but when they get to that point it will be immensely valuable to have those threads to turn to as research. That was always the goal for those discussions; I see no reason for that to change.
And if you're impatient to see those ideas implemented, go ahead and try to make it happen as a mod! The absolute best way to see if something works is to test it out in-game, and the UI.menu features make that much easier than it ever was before. The more you can make your idea tangible and interactive, the more likely it will be taken into account.
Well this is saddening. Goodbye @Dee ! Thank you for all the help with my 5e homebrew stuff and I hope that your life takes you on the most whimsical of adventures!
You know what the depressing thing about life is? People come and go in our lives whether we want it to happen or not. I've been through it many times. Goodbye, @Dee ! Though I hardly knew you, I wish you luck on whatever adventures find you!
The reasons why you all left may be unrelated to another but still it's unsettling for me and makes me sad.
Is it time to ask "Who's next?"
I will miss Dee.
And it seems I missed some news. Amber and Andrew left Beamdog? I haven't been very active with BG and it's forum lately, but I can't see any post about it in the News section either. What happened?
I haven't been around much because of a move and a new job, so I missed this happening.
Dee, this is the only online community that I have ever cared to participate in. It's truly special, and you deserve an enormous amount of credit for facilitating that. Your balance of kindness, conviction, thoughtfulness, and humor is an inspiration to me, both here and in everyday life. Thanks for everything.
I didn't have a chance to say my piece having recently moved and switched jobs during all of this (and I am currently on the clock as we speak, so I cannot be incredibly detailed in my post), but alas...
It's been great, @Dee, really, you've gone well above and beyond what I believe to be the requirements of the post you held here during my time as a member of the forum. I enjoyed the many helpful posts you've contributed and your dedication to the cause and always found you to be a great person to communicate with.
You will be missed. As @joluv had said, I too spend little time integrating myself into various communities online but your presence made it incredibly easy to integrate myself into this one.
I wish you nothing but the best in your future pursuits and hope to see you lurking around for some time, despite this change. Take care, friend.
same here – lots of other things to do than playing the EEs or visiting the forums ...
But can only fully agree to what Varwulf said above – Dee made this forum a nice and interesting place, and i think he did a great job to the community as to beamdog alike.
I think the contribution of Dee has been enough to grant a stickie for this thread. Also, not all forumites are here every day, so people continue to find this news even now (check the lordkim's post from yesterday).
And BTW, there is a stickied thread younger than this one, the thread about the Road to 2.0 rewards.

Would a mod by Dee be semi-official unofficially?
Love you Dee! In my rulebook you get a +1 to reputation every time you post.

As for Andrew, we have his tweet and a post in Don't ask me thread about life afterwards.
much love. stay metal.
...he looks real blue! (ba-da-bump)
Thanks for your generous responses to my posts. And for being the staff member most willing to interact with fans.
I wish you great success in your writing career. Salut.
Best of luck with the future and lets look forward to when Dee visits these forums again!
We'll remember to ''be excellent to each other."
