Hey all,

I'm just curious as to the age of the forum members. What I really wonder is what references to older movie, novel, TV, radio, or media references in general will go over the head of current members. Rounding to the nearest 5 years will be sufficient to slake my curiosity

I'll tell you that I was born in 1967 to kick things off...

    Media references are tricky
The Darryl. Darryl, Larry reference never meant anything to me and it's most likely not a question of age but that this was nothing that made it to swedish TV or so.
Same way, most of the adult rating stuff and US hypocrisy held so high on this forum are meaningless to a lot of people from other parts of the world.

As a wise bard once said "I'm old enough to know better, but I'm still too young to care."

Here's a poll from it, it's just a little outdated.

    28. Though I will get a lot of references from the previous generation and I consume almost nothing pop culture that is current.

This one could determine an age range for Americans, since the show was never in syndication.

I used to watch WKRP all the time.

Unfortunately, music rights complicate showing it literally ever again.

@CamDawg Hey now, I was eight when that movie first hit theaters >.>
    I didn't know better.

However, I already knew back then that Darth Maul was the coolest thing ever.

I can't understand anyone hating on The Phantom Menace when Attack of the Clones is clearly the worst Star Wars movie of all (and I'm counting the disney movies).

We should have a SW thread.

Attack of the Clones is bad, yes, but Phantom Menace is boring.
Sometimes a bad movie is better than a boring one.
