As The party rushes back, Fiora and Ignatius eventually see four ogres burst through the trees in front of her. Swinging their greatclubs wildly, they start charging forward, only to stop in their tracks as a loud, booming roar fills the clearing. From behind the hut, a massive cat with a pair of long, protruding fangs sprints forth to intercept them, followed by a pack of eight gray wolves. They swarm the ogres and tear into them, biting and clawing.
The saber-tooth tiger mauls one of the ogres to death within seconds. The wolves go after two more, leaving one for Butter, the griffon, and the bear. Butter charges forward and bites down on the ogre’s leg hard, causing him to squeal in pain. The griffon also rushes forth and bites into the ogre’s neck, and he falls. The bear charges one of the remaining two ogres and mauls it to death.
The remaining ogre in front takes a swing at a wolf, and swats it away with a bone-cracking thud, as from the woods to the left and right charge eight more ogres. They rush at the animals and attack. Two attack the wolves, and two wolves die. Two attack the tiger, and hit it solidly. Two attack the griffon, and hit it. The last two attack Butter and the bear. Butter leaps away deftly, but the bear gets hit.
The tiger swipes at the one wounded ogre, killing it, then turns around and mauls one of the other two attacking it to death. The five remaining wolves regroup and surround one ogre, wounding him. Butter attacks the ogre attacking him, taking a huge chunk out of the ogre’s leg. The ogre shrieks in pain. The bear turns to attack the ogre that attacked it, and it beats him with its claws, tearing through his flesh with each swing. The griffon also strikes out against the two ogres attacking it, leaving one battered but still standing.
Party goes last on initiative, so I’ll take your actions after the ogres take theirs. I have work, so it’ll be a while.
The remaining ogre attacking the tiger swings at it once more, and hits. The tiger doesn’t seem fazed at all as the club whacks against its hide. The two ogres fighting the wolves raise their clubs and bring them down on two of them. One wolf gets its skull caved in, and another yelps as it takes a hit to its leg.
The ogre that was attacking Butter still can’t get free of the web, while the ogre attacking the bear does pull himself free, and he swings again at the bear, and hits. The bear is looking pretty bad, as it starts breathing deeply.
The two ogres attacking the griffon once again swing. One misjudges his swing, and it goes wide, while the other one hits. The griffon lets out a pained shriek.
That brings us to the party, as they reach the clearing, now a battlefield between ogres and animals, with Ignatius and Fiora somewhere in the middle of it all.
Guston flies up and perched on a branch, then pulls out the rapier and activates it. The rapier suddenly darts downward to strike at an unsuspecting ogre:
Guston: Attack: 7+5=12
Its blade strikes the ogre’s hide armor, but doesn’t penetrate it.
That’s all Guston can do this round, as it takes a standard action to activate the rapier.
Ignatius casts Summon Swarm, and a horde of bats springs into existence and starts biting. The ogres, Butter, the bear, and the griffon are now swarmed with bats.
*Fiora sounds cheerful, but determined. She does her best to coordinate her attacks with the animals*
"Ignatius! Can you keep an eye out for the Hag? I doubt she would let us finish breaking the curse without taking some action herself!"
"Fiora, seeing the poor puppies getting slaughtered, charges forward and attacks the wounded ogre that is harassing them" That is perfectly in character!
Vaga rushes in and unleashes his Flurry of Blows on the nearest ogre, the badly wounded one that Fiora had just attacked:
Vaga: Attack: 15+7=22, 20+7=27
The ogre takes a kidney punch and spits blood, before crumpling to the ground. Kaled casts Magic Missile at one of the other injured ogres. One of the ogres attacking the griffon dies.
The tiger slaps the remaining ogre still attacking it twice with its claws, and the ogre goes down. It then lunges at the remaining ogre attacking the wolves with its fangs bared, but the ogre barely manages to sidestep away from it. The wolves continue the onslaught, but their fangs are largely ineffective against the ogre’s armor. One does manage to bite his leg, which causes him to grunt.
Butter, still being bitten by bats, strikes at his ogre once again, and the creature slumps over in the web that still holds his lifeless corpse. The bear roars defiantly as it too is swarmed by bats. It swats the ogre facing it, who falls to the ground, dead. The griffon also gets bitten by bats, as it attacks the remaining ogre on its end. The ogre ducks under its beak and one of its claws, but a third strike catches him, and he stumbles.
The griffon and the ogre fighting it are now blinded and covered in glittering dust.
The unblinded ogre sees the massive saber-tooth tiger that just tried to eat him, and he swings his club at it in a desperate attempt to fend it off. The wild swing simply falls short of the animal’s chin, not hitting it at all.
The now blinded ogre cries out in surprise as he tries to smack the griffon once again. Through the stinging fangs of bats and now the blindness, he still manages to hit the griffon, who slumps down a bit and seems to be struggling to stand.
Guston, amazed at the quick efficient that the animals took out an army of ogres, realizes he’s basically useless in this situation. He looks around for the hag if he can spot her.
Vaga attacks the nearest ogre with a stunning fist attack. Determined now that he has momentum. He has learned much since that first fight they had as a team, back where he coulnd't even have hit a barn door. A stunned, paralyzed, webbed and feeble-minded barn door. And look at him now! His Order's masters would have been proud of him! .. hadn't they cast him out shamefully after his.. breakdown.
I have no idea who is nearest though, it's hard to follow. Was afk most of yesterday and this morning, what a feast to come back to this massive battle! But what bummer I almost missed it!
Damnit @nimran, you're the KING of DM's! Love your work!
Through the haze and chaos of the battle, Guston notices a trail of slight imprints shaped like feet leading from the forest to the circle. They stop just short of the stones, but are getting closer.
Vaga’s fist cracks hard against the desperate ogre’s skull, and the ogre groans as his vision starts spinning. Fiora sees an opportunity and springs forward to attack:
14+9=23
And her blade sinks into his chest. The ogre coughs up a lot of blood, and is bleeding profusely, but still standing.
Gotta say, its an interesting mental workout coming up with consistently diffrerent ways to say, "Fiora attacks". This a pretty dangerous, so if I'm absent, Fiora will immediately detect evil to search for potentially invisible Hags.

I'd fireball but I would probably set the forest afire...

I do hate violence... I just wish I had memorised something a bit more... A bit more... Acid arrow...

I wonder what that other wand does? But we cannot identify it till the battle is over.
