How can someone with such high Wisdom be so deluded?
Vaga is wise with all things external, but his wisdom and perception however, haven't reached internally. He wasn't meant to be this way in the beginning, if any of you recall he was rather sage-like early on, but during the interactions with Anduin and the others, it was just to funny to not let him move towards this more.. complex personality. One-dimensional personalities are boring!
Do we really need crystal from the city? I'm confused.. I've re-read @Nimran's text on the last page, what Octavius said, and we only need Ixion's (potential) knowledge to manipulate gems made of pure magic, not a gem from the old ruined city.. or have I misunderstood the quest?
Sometimes I read this thread with a few days in between and I forget what we are doing, sorry about that.
Yes... It has been a busy week. I believe Ixion to have left his city a long time ago... Possibly as a baby. Even possibly as a baby born to parents or a single mother/father/worker caste carrying an egg that had escaped the fall of their people only to find themselves unable to rebuild even a rudimentary nest. It is even possible that the eggs were all destroyed but Ixion get spared because he hatched and looked cute? (If I was an Orc I'd eat the eggs, but stop at eating babies... Actually as a human... I'd eat the eggs, but stop at eating a baby.... As I'm a gnome this is merely conjecture because we'd just eat turnips).
So... What I'm saying is... I doubt Ixion knows how to make the crystal we need, plus he is definitely warrior material, so double doubtful. Although... Maybe ask?
Everything’s fine. It’s just a busy couple of weeks. My house is getting a new floor, so EVERYTHING had to be packed up and put away. I’ve also been asked to DM a campaign for a local group, so I’ve been doing prep work for that.
*Fiora is not about to try and win the lottery twice and hastily strides into the room*
"Think about it Ixion, you would be a HERO. Saving not only one community, but two. 'Ixion, soul saver' 'Ixion, friend of kings'. Reputation comes with perks."
“Better to be Ixion the paid,” says Ixion. “I told you before, I’m not a charity worker.”
“Would the king not reward you when he is free?” Keeley asks. “If gold is what you seek, I’m certain he wouldn’t mind giving you some.”
Ixion ponders, and then nods. “Very well. I’ll just have to get it from him, then. I’ll guide you to the ruins, but know that there are dangerous creatures now lurking within those shattered remains. Take care not to die, for I won’t be dragging your carcasses back with me when the job is done.” He then heads outside.
And so the party sets off after collecting Ignatius, towards the ruins of the crystal city. As the first day of travel draws to a close, Ixion holds up his hand to stop the party. “We’re under attack!” he shouts suddenly. “Spread out!” As he speaks these words, the party notices two large figures charging at them from over the horizon. They look like bulls, but their skin is strangely stonelike in appearance. They are rushing at full speed towards the party.
*Fiora hands her broom to Femduim* "Get to safety!"
*She holds her sword in front of her, pointing her blade ahead. She concentrates to make it flare to life, shooting blinding light directly at the charging creatures*
Boy I hope this makes them turn and not trample me.
*Fiora books it, running and diving perpendicular to the creatures' approach. She did NOT go to the Prometheus school of running away from things, after all.*
When the bulls come closer, Vaga will try to identify the monster type with a perception check.
Vaga, now hasted, runs away from the closest bull and ends his second round with an attack, keeping his distance and trying to lure one of the bulls away from the others in his group (drawing aggro).
Nimran: this action can be executed whenever it's Vaga's next round. I'll remain passive until I see you post the perception/attack rolls. I guess the bulls have more movement and Anduin an action before Vaga get's to move again.
Edit.. hmm is perception or Lore used for identifying creatures? I'll let my comment stand above, but if it's Lore and not Perception, I'll go ahead and roll anyways even though my Lore sucks.

"Excuse me"
As real life pounces on leisure,
And patiently we must bear,
Until we are relieved from pressure."
"You wanna have a try at this?" He turns to Nanna and asks in a hushed voice.

Ixion is so here due to my beauty... and butter...
Vaga also shouts to his friends "Beware their vapor attacks, if these are Gorgons they can petrify us!"

If any bull comes close to Vaga, he will use his ring of jumping to dodge and jump as far away as possible from the bulls to avoid melee.
Vaga’s shuriken hits the leftmost creature right in the eye, eliciting a snort.

I always find grease makes things faster...
*Nanna casts grease just ahead of the charging stonebulls.*
I hope they miss Fiora.
...
I hope I miss Fiora!
Spell combo: GREASE FIRE!!
"Things that are oily, volatile, and greasy,
Setting them on fire is so very easy!"
"Aaaah, I'm still down here!!!"
...
Setting them on fire kinda makes you a jerk.
*Nanna leans over her broom and shouts down to Fiora.*
Let me know if you want me to cast ice-storm on you!
