Thank You. Thats quite overwhelming but i will try to follow that list.
Does install order matter?
Yeah, what Lava said. You can easily limit this installation. As I mentioned, there probably too many of kit mods installed, but I wanted to have choice. Just think about a character you want to play and install only a kit mod that contains a kit you may want to use.
If you want to play arcane spellcaster, you may want to check Tome and Blood
If you want to play divine spellcaster, you can choose between Faiths & Powers and Deities of Faerun
If you want to play rogue and melee character, you may want to check Might & Guile and Bardic Wonders (for bards specifically)
If you want some upgrades to original kits, you may want to try The Artisan's Kitpack
Just stick to kit mods you will really use.
For Tweaks, you may want to check a specific mod Readme. Tweak mods tend to be very well documented.
For the first gameplay try to stay out from a drastic gameplay changes mods, those are usually for more experience players or for those that played those games so many times, they want to try something different.
All quests, then, both item packs (FindIt and ForgeIt), you may also add a mod called "Weasels!", but there was a small bug in one of the items, I think... but nothing big.
As for the tweaks and kits - it's mostly what Cahir said
A pity you do not want NPCs as they introduce lots of new things, but I get it, the idea was to offer people reason to play the game more than once, so...
Cannot recommend the npcs enough - they transform the game for the better and there are now such a range of possibilities that there are party members for all tastes.
My favourites are Ina, Kahiri, Urchin, Dusky and Minerva. They add much needed depth to the game and have interesting features. The evil NPCs look fun but not how I roll.
Haven't yet tried L'Anna, Orra or Hommet. Hoping to roll with them when Aion has had a chance to finish his new characters.
Potentially you could have a hybrid approach eg half the party rolled by you and half npcs or just add some to see how it changes the game. You can get Orra, Minerva, Dusky, Kahiri and Urchin very early on to get a feel for them.
@Wened I can confirm that all Lava's NPCs, as well as those from @AionZ work together perfectly. With an additional Crossmod Banter Pack, they can also banter each other. In fact, installing also Kulyok's IWD NPC Pack you have basically enough NPCs to assemble 3 completely different parties.
Currently my party consists with:
Caliban: human electric dragon disciple (a dragon disciple variant from Tome and Blood mod).
Dandjelion: halfling blackguard (revised blackguard variant from The Artisan's Kitpack)
Orra: human fighter/mage/cleric (a custom cleric kit created specifically for Orra)
Minerva: gnome fighter/artificer (a custom kit created specifically for her)
Karihi: human pyromancer
I love this setup, these are very interesting NPCs, each with his own agenda, history and lots of banters. Mechanically are very solid and my party does not look to have weak points.
I'll write more detailed reviews when I finish my run.
There are also a lot of tweaks that are compatible with IWDEE (although not as many as for BGEE/BG2EE).
Here is my WeiDU log, in case you're interested. Probably I installed too many kit mods, but I wanted to have more choices in case I would use this insall for another run later.

Totally forgot about Urchin. He is a cutie and a beast when it comes to fighting monsters. I thought at first he won't be my cup of tea, but Lava developed him so well, that I decided he will stay in part party.
Yes. They include friend talks, some include romances, all have interjections, many of them comment about mod-related events (as well as the OC events) and once you install IWD Crossmod Banter Pack, they also happen to have talks with eachother every now and then. Some of them also include mini-quests and/or encounters. So it's basically like BG2 NPCs. They include their own portraits, soundsets, some may have some personal items... so... full package.
@ilduderino I accidentally read "cannot recommend the npc, though" and prepared myself for the explanation. I was kind of relieved I got that wrong!
I am really looking foreward to an IWD run with all of these loaded up, plus Kulyok's NPCs.

You don't have enough of free slots for them all, believe me ?
@Cahir Are You using EET installer for these mods? Also, i know CDTweaks from BG, but where do i find Hometweaks and metweaks? (end of your list)
I usually use Project Infinity (not using EE Setup Tool at all), but since there weren't so many mods in this list, I installed them manually this time.
@Wened Be aware that the EE Setup Tool (EET Installer) uses changed and/or outdated mod versions, and the install order is not discussed with other modders. This tool might be easier to handle for players, but what you get is a black box of what Roxanne thinks should be in an EET game. Project Inifnity is the best installer currently.
Sorry for the OT, @LavaDelVortel .
You won't install Tipps (one of my NPCs) until you install the kit first, so you may want to install the kit I mentioned before before the NPC (if you want to install Tipps at all)
That would be general install order rule I follow, but there are many little deviations of that rule here and there. It's really depending on the mod. Reading Readme files is one of the most important things for me to do while preparing modlist.
Hey @TheArtisan, how’s it going with Guldruk and Caedriel? By the way, would it be too late now to change Caedriel’s alignment to non-Evil but simply Chaotic?
I haven't played Icewind Dale in years but played it to death many years ago. I'm about to do my very first playthrough on the enhanced edition and I decided to spice things up by installing all of your Icewind Dale EE mods (except for FindIt). I'm super excited to see how this goes. If they are the same caliber as your BG2EE mods (which I also have all of them installed for Baldur's Gate 2EE) then I'm sure I'm in for a wild ride. Thank you in advance for all of your wonderful contributions to the modding community and to the infinity engine games as a whole. I'll be back after my playthrough to give some feedback.
Sure! We - The Artisan and I - tried to make IWDEE even more enjoyable with our projects. I hope you'll like it! And thanks for your kind words.
Cheers!
I am nearing the end of my journey but OMG this has been absolutely fantastic! I've always loved the music and the artwork of Icewind Dale. The story, although pretty linear for the most part, I also found to be enjoyable. The only things that were really lacking were side quests to allow for a break from the main quest and party interactions. Adding The New Lights mods solved both of these problems. It's like I'm playing a whole new game. I can't thank you guys enough for all of the hard work you've put into making all of this custom content. On a side note, I did notice a few typos in the dialogues of the custom NPCs. I didn't stop to record all of these errors but would be happy to do so if I replay from start to finish again (which I most likely will be doing soon). Please let me know the best way to report these typos to you. English is my native language and I'd be happy to include the necessary corrections with the reported typos. Should I post a comment to these forums with accompanying screenshots along with corrections or would you prefer that I message this information directly?
Anyway, back to finishing my adventure. I've gone through the official campaign up to accumulating the 6 badges, then head off to the Heart of Winter expansion all the way up to the point of no return and then head to Trials of the Luremaster. I'm about to finish ToTLM and then HOW and then finish up the official campaign.
I guess the typos were mostly in my mods, heh. I'm sick right now, but I'll contact you when I'm feeling a bit better I'll let you know how we can do this, and until then just have fun
I finally finished everything. I must say it was a nice finishing touch on the game all of the dialogues upon returning to Kuldahar and then even more right before the final confrontation with you know who. I'm sorry to hear that you're sick. I hope you feel better soon. I'll be around if/when you ever want to work on the typos. Just let me know. Either way I still recommend everyone give all of these mods a try. The typos are minor and don't really detract much from the overall immersion.
- Moonn-Teel and the book ? - Where to find History of Drow II ? - Widow and peace of mind ?
- Jinfs quest doesn't dissapear despite me bringing the body to his coisin.
- What is Arewood Sinhoove for ?
- What is it with the magical pot except for getting 3000 EXP points ?
Luckily for me, I do not remember every quest I wrote. You will need to keep looking. What is clearly a bug, is the journal entry not disappearing after you complete the cousin quest. As for the pot, you may learn more about it from a potter and there is a way to open it... how? Huh, I wish I remembered!
What I can say is: you do not need to get EVERYTHING in just one run. Just enjoy the game, and if you miss something... try again next time. It's not like everything will change because you found item X or never managed to do Y.
I do not mind others, who played the mod, providing answers... but I may not be able to answer some of them. I wrong 50+ mods, most of them including more than one quest or encounter or a secret, and... that's a lot to remember, heh.
So yes the pot I opened, but is it just that? I just got 3000 exp from talking to the being inside and that's it ?
I am doing the game in two runs and I truly really enjoy the mods you made - the game feels more alive thanks to that. I am on my second run and missing out some information to feel 'complete'. Maybe you should have a walkthrough somewhere to help out with this? I would greatly appreciate your answers!
Also, on my second re-run, the pages don't get added to the book for the Moonn-Teel quest. Bug ?
The pot: it depends on what you decided to do during that talk. But there is no big story here. If you have the weapon, you may continue talking to it. You may also upgrade it if you find the right component (and you do that through the talk with the weapon).
The book: what do you mean that they don't get added on your second run? They were absorbed by the book on the first run and now they're not?
The walkthrough: urm, no? Look, I create mods when I feel like I want to offer something, but that doesn't mean after weeks or months of work, I will release something and then suddenly start writing walkthroughs. I wouldn't expect any modder to do that, it's already hard work to create stuff, and I do not need even more things on my plate.
I checked the book quest quickly: while the pages are being absorbed normally in v2.2, the "signals" that the page is nearby weren't working properly for pages 2 & 3. They were still there, but the player wouldn't get the head string warning. I just released v2.3, it should work fine. And I also fixed the cousin quest journal entry.

Yeah, what Lava said. You can easily limit this installation. As I mentioned, there probably too many of kit mods installed, but I wanted to have choice. Just think about a character you want to play and install only a kit mod that contains a kit you may want to use.
Since i already know the game i would like to install:
1. Tweaks and Bugfixes to avoid problems/frustration
2. New Quests as long as they are lore friendly
3. New items.
I might install some new classes since they seem interesting (and im already bored witch BG2 classes)
I think i will install all Quest and item mods from first page of this thread.
Just need to decide on tweaks and classes.
No NPC or Banters, maybe in another playthru.
As for the tweaks and kits - it's mostly what Cahir said
A pity you do not want NPCs as they introduce lots of new things, but I get it, the idea was to offer people reason to play the game more than once, so...
Totally forgot about Urchin. He is a cutie and a beast when it comes to fighting monsters. I thought at first he won't be my cup of tea, but Lava developed him so well, that I decided he will stay in part party.

Do i understand correctly that the install order is always:
1. Quests
2. Items
3. NPCs
4. kits
5. tweaks?
Also. I know CDTWEAKS from BG. But where do i find "House tweaks" and "METweaks"?
Have You ever used EET Installer for modding?

As for where to find other tweaks:
Made in Heaven Tweaks
House Rules
I did not use EET Installer, I do not want to propote Roxanne in any way.
