I really like Aerie's improved war cries from ToB if you are romancing her.

    I really don't . . . like . . . Aerie . . .

    "Heya, it's me, Imoen."

    Oh goody...

(Just kidding, I do like Imoen! But that's not my favorite quote. That honor goes to... well, basically anything Minsc and Lilarcor says.)

"Go for the eyes Boo! Go for THE EYES, RAAAGH! *squeak*"

Portalbendarwinden is on the map north of Beregost, on the southeast side of the map.

The quotes I find myself saying to myself most often are the miners' quotes, while at work and not wanting to be there.

"Get me out of this hellhole!"
    "I'm sooo tired."
    "It's so dark."
"*cough* I think I'm coughing up blood."

Not where anyone can hear me, of course. But for some reason, just expressing the pure despair of the miners to myself makes me smile and cheer up a bit, just because I know my job isn't really as bad as theirs.

I've never had Aerie survive the party into TOB.

Nah...really. I played with every NPC in BG2ToB, but never liked Aerie with her constant whining. Or that jerk Anomen for that matter. Or Jaheira, sometimes...
But that's the beauty of it...if you don't like them, you don't play with them so ... yeah, well, that's just like, my opinion man.

Is it true that dragon meat tastes like chicken? Never mind, I'll find out for myself.

    - Charname to Saladrex

(Of course, depending on the party's fighting abilities against hostile dragons, this line could also belong in the "Famous Last Words" thread!;-))

“This woman lives and has strength of a sort. She lost her parents to plague, her husband to war but she persevered. Her farm has prospered, her name is respected, and her children are fed and safe. She lived as she thought she should. And now, she is dead. Her land will be divided, her children will move on, and she will be forgotten. She lived a ‘good’ life, but she had no power. She was a slave to death.”

    Where is that from?
