    On a clean install of SoD I get the following error:

    ERROR: error loading [SotSC/NoSoDFixes/SPIDSM0_.cre] .

    I can install it on BG:EE directly or in EET. Very strange to me.

    Just to check this, I tried to install SotSC on BGEE, BGEE+SoD (without DLC Merger, just to see if the installation will show same error you got), and properly, BGEE+SoD with DLC Merger. None of these gave me the error you mentioned.

    Furthermore, I just checked and my mod does not have nor does it copy SPIDSM0_. If my mod detects that there is no SPIDSM01.cre in the game (which is shipped with SoD, IIRC), then it provides your game with that original file, thus SPIDSM0_ is never mentioned in the installer, nor is one of the files I provide. I don't know if you modified it yourself, or used some unofficial download mirror, but there is nothing I can do about that.

    Btw the dude's carrying a helm of glory, you can shank him after finishing the quest and get it (for a steep rep loss tho lol).

    Just a nitpick, but the Energy of Planar Shades item could use a description correction, since the on-kill effect is triggered when killing with any source, not exclusively the item. Something like:
    "When a target is killed, the one that holds the Energy gains +1 Casting Speed and +1 Casting level for 2 rounds"

    I'm having a bit of an issue. I can talk to the npcs who will offer the new quests but after one or two dialogue boxes the conversation ends abruptly.

    Can anyone help? Aside from the tweak pack on top of EET, I'm not really using anything that I can think of that'd effect these things. All dialogue with vanilla ncps works fine. I'm just using 5e spellcasting, Rogue Rebalanced and all the mods in the Athkatlan Grounds series. I reinstalled the mod in case it was a load order problem but the problem persists.

    Sorry, but I do not use EET myself, so while I read your message, I do not know the right installation order here (but I think it might be the culprit here). EET compatibility was added by someone else, too. Perhaps someone who uses the mod on EET will be able to help.

    Hmm... I'm using SotSC with EET for a while now, and didn't have such issues. Questmods should be installed fairly early in order. Maybe there went something wrong?

    If you don't have too much mods on board, I would do a manual setup and check every now and then how it goes and if some oddities are appearing.

    I found the problem. I mucked up the install order. I didn't realize there was a log so looking at it and found my error - it was a silly one at that. I accidentally installed the EET END component of the mod right after the normal EET install instead of doing so at the end.

    Good grief. Thanks for the responses, though. I appreciate it!

    Hi lava, just some grammar and redacting proposal for two items. Forums direct messaging seems to be broken. Here is:

    Night's Passionate Kiss
    This mace was created for a priestress of Shar, a moon elf named Alothasaa Shaytarhiann. After the fall of its original owner, this powerful weapon was divided into three so only those who showed determination and knowledge could restore its full power and use it.

    STATISTICS:

    Combat abilities:
    - Every time an enemy is killed during the night, the wielder gains +1 Melee THAC0 modifier for 3 rounds and +2 Lore bonus for eight hours


    Crossfate crossbow:
    Combat abilities:
    - There is a 25% chance that upon a succesful hit the enemy will suffer -1 THAC0 penalty for one round



    And some issue on Night's Passionate Kiss:

    Since the mace places a permanent while equiped spell on a per round night check, the character gets a "can't cast multiple instances of the same contingency spell on yourself" warning every round, permanently while holding the mace.
    Haven't figured a way to get around this myself.

    Also shouldn't the melee thac0 bonus effect from L#FRGM0S.SPL have a duration of 18 secs (3 rounds), not 21?

    Rounds last 6.67 seconds, so 3 rounds should be 20 seconds.

    Are there old versions of the mod available somewhere? I know I had an old version of Shades installed on EET at some point but the versions 8.9 and the previous one (8.8.1 I think) don't install correctly.
    I'd like to try installing an old version and see why that happens. I don't know if that's a change in Shades or in EET, as both have had newer versions since.

    Perhaps make sure you install it as others suggest it. While I do not use EET myself, even 2-3 weeks ago, there was a discussion about how people use it on EET (a few posts above -- perhaps check if you're not making the same mistake as that other player). Nor 8.8.1 nor 8.9 introduced anything in regard to compatibility or EET, the last version that had touched anything about EET was 2 years ago and even then it was map icons update, and it doesn't sound as if your problem was wrong icons for the areas.

    Well, the last attempts were with absolutely no other mods (both on bg2 and bg1 except dlcmerger) so I'm not sure what I could have done wrong in the install order.
    And I'm pretty sure my last successful attempt was something more than one year ago so maybe something like 8.2 maybe.

    Can someone who installed the mod successfully post a proper order in regard to both games, EET_END etc, so people knew where this mod goes? :) I could use such a post when someone asks where exactly it goes. :)

    I am doing a pretty big install myself so not sure if any log from that will be usefull but basically it is

    DLCMerger on BG1
    EET main
    Any other mods (including SoTSC)
    EET_End

    And it should come pretty early in order, like most other questmods. Before you do NPCs, Tweaks, Items, Kits and Classes, SCS and the like.
    I'm playing 8.9 on EET without any issues so far.

    That's exactly what I do, except "Any other mods" is exactly Sotsc alone :/

    Can you provide debug file from mod instalation or information what exact error it shows?

    At the moment I'm likethis, but note that I added debug traces (in the EET code) because the error didn't say anything at all

    EDIT: it seems it fails on a
    > GET_FILE_ARRAY loopfiles_array ~%path%~ ~~

    (path contains ~SotSC~)
    But the weidu doc for GET_FILE_ARRAY is pretty bad and isn't clear on what it does (or is supposed to do)

    Sorry to ask stupid question but did you try to install it on BG:EE? - maybe this is not issue of having EET at all?
    And yes it definitely looks to be related to OS - I am on windows and installed using Project Infinity.

    Ooooo Kay...
    There is a dirctory name "informacje o têumaczeniu PL" under SotSC/, if I delete it everything works until the end.
    One of the steps of the installation (more conversion) seems to be "list all files under SotSC" and there probably is a character inside that directory name that makes weidu choke on linux.

    I don't know if that's anEET or a weidu bug, I will report it when I find the most likely to fix it.
    In the meantime, my workaround is "delete the directory named 'informacje o têumaczeniu PL'"
